We loved this house when we stayed at it in 2024. Our stay this time (for a conference) was equally wonderful. We love the room choices for our people as well as the different spaces for people to spread out.Looking forward to next year!!!

Spacious. Comfort amenities wonderful. Location great. Owner anticipates every need and provided. Our family enjoyed this property very much. We would consider staying again. Our only complaint is the cleanliness of the home did not meet the same high standard of the comfort amenities. That’s unfortunate.

Awesome 80th BDay Family Gathering at an Amazing Home
The photos and description of this property do not do it justice…and they are pretty amazing. This was our first trip to St George to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. This house fit our entire group with ease and everyone had their own space, really comfortable beds, just a ton of bathrooms, and for such an old house, I was amazed at how everything worked as though the house had just been built. (Plenty of hot water, rooms were cool when it was 95 degrees outside, WiFi was awesome, great dishwasher, extra refrigerator…the works!) The location was perfect. We went to Zion, Bryce Canyon and to Vegas for a show. (All within an easy driving distance and plenty of parking.) Not only that, but you are living in a house that is literally on the walking “Historic District Tour” map. We popped in to a few of the historic places (within a few blocks) for tours, walked to several great restaurants and the local ice cream place, but then were also able to sit outside and BBQ for our entire group in the shady (and cool) outdoor dining space in the backyard. We also took a two minute drive to Pioneer Park to climb the beautiful red bluffs and watch the sunset over St George. The rooms were comfortable and clean, there were fun games, cute kids spaces and books…everything was thoughtfully and beautifully included for our stay. Again, the house is fabulous the location was perfect, and we hope to come back again soon! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

A piece of historic paradise
We had a family of 10 adults stay to celebrate my Mom’s 80th birthday and Mother’s Day. The house was just perfect. We loved the location and the historic quality of the home. It was like staying in a quaint b&b than a rental home. Every little detail was thought of. We fit very comfortably and everyone enjoyed having their own space and bathroom. The linens were nice and beds comfy. We had some serious cooks in the group. We found the kitchen had everything we needed and everything worked well. The side patio s absolutely wonderful for morning coffee and evening al fresco dining. We had 2 people stay with mobility issues and appreciated the accessibility of the home. Ample parking too and lots of fun places within walking distance. The host is wonderful. Thank you Scott.

Great Group Experience
We had a group of 13 mostly 60+ friends stay at this beautiful property. There was plenty of space for people to hang out together, or have their own getaway nook. The kitchen facilities are top notch but some great restaurants are within a couple blocks walking distance too. The Famous Whitehead Home has been beautifully updated and furnished. The beds were comfy, there were more pillows than we could have ever used, and extra blankets if needed. We plan on doing another trip next year!

Amazing Accommodation
We needed a place to stay for our group attending a ceramic conference in St. George. This fit the bill! There were enough beds for everyone to sleep comfortably and enough bedrooms for people to have a private or partly-private space to retire to at sleep or for some quiet time away from the group. The kitchen had everything we needed and was well-used by the group for breakfast, dinner, and having a few people over for grazing get-togethers. (There's even an extra refrigerator and storage in a pantry off the entrance. Unfortunately, it was too chilly for us to enjoy what the house offered outside. But it all looked tempting, in case you're considering a stay during one of the warmer seasons. Check out was not draconian -- all the asks were quite reasonable and easily taken care of. Needless to say, we're hoping to make this our permanent conference house for our annual conference in St. George.

We moved to Saint George 17 years ago and absolutely love the area. The weather is always amazing and if you enjoy the outdoors, this is one of the best places on Earth. Scott is an avid hiker and biker; having completed the 2,200 mile Appalachian Trail in 2018. Ask him about his favorite hikes in Zion, Snow Canyon or the surrounding area. He can also point you to his favorite bike trails if you prefer being on two wheels. Peggy was born and raised in Scottsdale and loves the warmth and sunshine. You will find her outdoors gardening and spending time with her five grandchildren. She also runs the neighboring Mulberry Inn where you will often find her entertaining guests.
Peggy and I have been successfully hosting guests in our homes for more than 15 years. We love travelling and creating memories with our kids and grandkids and love offering similar experiences to those who rent our homes. In addition to the Whitehead Home, we rent a beautiful cabin up at Brian Head and manage the historic Mulberry Inn across the street. While each property provides a different guest experience, they all consistently provide lasting memories and great guest reviews. We are confident our extensive experience will result in a great stay for you and your guests. We look forward to welcoming you to the Whitehead Home and beautiful downtown Saint George.

Why they chose this property

Don't you just love the charm of old homes? We do too! We chose this property because of it's historic value and its proximity to downtown. Whitehead Home has the best location possible. The home has undergone a remodel, but we've keeping the historical integrity while adding new and modern conveniences. Necessities like double ovens, microwave, extra fridge, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and internet to name a few. There is plenty of parking for your group too. We are constantly improving and upgrading the home to help our guests have a wonderful, relaxing, memorable experience.
The Whitehead Home is right in 'Town Square' of St George. Within 4 blocks you can find 10 restaurants, galleries, historic sights, antique shops, 4 banks, ATMs, parks, museums, hair salons, library, and plenty of shopping. So much to explore just in the neighborhood. St. George has so much to offer, yet still has the feeling of a smaller town. St. George has so much to offer, yet still has the feeling of a smaller town. And there is so much to do in the area. You can travel a close distance to Zion's National Park, Snow Canyon, Tuacahn Outdoor Theater, 12 golf courses in the area, swimming parks and so much more. The Whitehead Home is also on the St George Ironman 70.3 course, Tour de St. George course, and is 2 blocks from the marathon course. Because of the beautiful weather there is always something going on in St. George from farmers markets to nighttime music festivals. Come enjoy the best of both worlds, historic charm and modern convinces; remnants of the past and luxuries of the present.

What makes this property unique

This home was built in 1881 and has a sweet & sad little love story at it's beginning, yet it has been a home that has created many happy and wonderful memories for families across the decades. It has all the modern convenances to help you and your group continue to make memories. You'll be cooking for a large group and the kitchen has a stainless steel kitchenaid 6-burner cooktop and hood fan, new double wall ovens, microwave and dishwasher and other small kitchen appliances to help do the job. We've continue to update, decorate and add furniture and other items to make your stay easy, comfortable, and special. This property oozes character and is a great gathering place for up to 23 people. Perfect for family reunions, corporate retreats, sporting events, theater events, or home base as you discover the beautiful hiking & biking, golfing, day spas and shopping in St. George. It's located within tree lined walking distance of wonderful restaurants, antique shops, galleries, historic sights, summer outdoor market, and a splashed and park for the children. It's the best possible "base" to have a walking adventure around town or a short driving adventure to the beauties, fun, entertainment, and outdoor activities in the area.
We have made the home comfortable for adults and children by providing amenities (Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash and more), a nicely stock kitchen and "Do Not Disturb" signs for each door, wifi, charging stations in every room, Wii games, large TV's, for the children a toy box, a and "Kids Nook" for creativity and reading, and for the family board games, puzzles, DVD's, and large rooms to gather together. For the babes, we have pack n plays, crib, 2 highchairs, wagon, stroller and more.
It's tastefully decorated and a calming place to be. Not only do we rent the home but we spend time with our family too. We know you'll make wonderful memories and love the Whitehead Home as we do. Come and make a memory.
