Always Trastevere

Spacious apartment with all essentials including air conditioning. The area is lively & full of interesting sights & experiences. Also close to all main sights, just across the Tiber. Marco was an attentive host.

Superb large apartment in Trastevere

A few minutes walk to the Ponte Sisto or Garibaldi bridges which take you straight into the heart of Rome, and Trastevere itself has a lot to offer also. The restaurant on the corner of the block is unbelievably cheap, with great food. Everything in the apartment was perfect, and Marco was easily contactable before arrival and throughout stay (although no problems arose). Air-conditioning in the three bedrooms, electrical and plumbing all perfect also. Would definitely stay here again. One thing to note: taxi from airport for 4 or fewer passengers is 45 euro, but rises to 65 euro for 5 passengers.

Just Wonderful.

The flat is lovely. A massive bedroom that over looks the square, and two slightly smaller rooms that look out the other side. Two bathrooms, both with showers and loo and a nice kitchen (we didn't really use it but was perfect for what we needed). It was spotlessly clean, beds were really comfortable and with nice bedlinen. I think there is heating but we didn't need it. There is a small sitting area that we used and suited us just fine. Location is perfect. Our new fav spot in Roma! Wine bars and restaurants literally 2 meters from the flat and other shops just around the corner. Also an easy walk over the bridge into the main part of the town. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful apartment . Good value and lots of space .

Great location . Lots of restaurants nearby , good for sightseeing , near trams and buses. Marco and Esther were very helpful . Apartment rooms were spacious and comfortable .

Great apartment in fabulous location

The owner, Marco, was very friendly and helpful, arranging our airport transfer and meeting us at the apartment. The location, in Trastevere, is excellent - the local area is full of restaurants and bars, and very reasonably priced for Rome ( Carlos Menta Restaurant, almost at the apartment's front door, is great value and always very busy with locals as well as tourists). Many of the favourite tourist sights, like the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain etc are within easy walking distance. The apartment itself is excellent - three bedrooms and two bathrooms, though the second bathroom is, to say the least, compact! The apartment is on the third floor but is served by a lift. We would have no hesitation in recommending this to friends, and equally no hesitation in returning.

Wonderful apartment in great location

I booked this apartment mainly based on the reviews which turned out to be very accurate. This is a very comfortable 3 bed apartment in the very lively and interesting Trastavere area of Rome. The apartment is spacious and airy and bedrooms all very comfortable. The sitting area is sort of in the corridor but very comfortable and the kitchen is smallish but well equipped. We did not come to Rome to sit around in the apartment but it was fantastic to have a comfortable, well appointed place to come home to. Teenage kids loved the wi-fi. Marco met us and arranged transfer which was great. He is a very friendly person and gave us some pointers to restaurant & supermarkets etc. The area is lively and brimming with loads of shops.bars and restaurants. Prices were much cheaper than central Rome. We walked to Colosseum/Pantheon/Spanish steps etc. all in 30-40 mins. Add a few more mins for St Peters. That said trams and buses are just 2 minutes away, we just chose to walk. My only comment would be that the aircon is only in 1 of the double bedrooms. We never used it in October but I could imagine it getting a little warm in high summer (there are fans in every room). We want to go back and explore Rome and the Trastavere area more and would love to stay here again. Thanks Marco for a great little stay.

Great location. Comfortable rooms. Too hot indoors in August.

Location is amazing. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. All the necessities provided including towels, shampoo, etc. good washing machine. Not much common living space if you are a family. Good shower. OK kitchen facilities. The only real problem was the heat. Only one bedroom had air conditioning and only a small unit. The other rooms were uncomfortably hot in August. Although it is very quiet with the windows closed, the great central location also meant we couldn't open windows at night to sleep. All in all a great choice if it's not the middle of summer.

Great Apartment - perfect stay.

We stayed at the apartment for 5 nights over the New Year. Met by Marco as arranged at the apartment . Great location. Lovely spacious apartment. Clean and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Marco kindly sorted out our transport from and to the airport which was a big help. We liked it that much we are returning again later in the year!

Spacious and centrally located

Host was very communicative and accommodating. The location is ideal for all central sights, shops and restaurants. The flat was roomy and clean. I feel it could use some upgrades on bathroom plumbing, furniture and mattresses for the price. All in all a pleasant stay and served us well.

First Family Trip To Rome

Excellent location near public transportation, food, and other amenities. The apartment is well furnished but light on design elements, which we were fine with. There is a small elevator, but really only large enough to hold one person plus luggage. There is a small washing machine but no dryer, as is common in Italy.

Fabulous large apartment in perfect location

We had a great stay in this Trastevere gem. Perfect location. The three bedrooms provided spaciousness and privacy for my husband and me, plus our two adult kids. The sitting area works, but is small and can only seat 4 people comfortably on couches, which was fine for us 4. The location is perfect for exploring Trastevere with its charming wine bars and shops. A quick walk over any of the bridges gets you easily to Rome. Ubers are plentiful when we were too tired to walk after a long day of exploring. There was street noise but one could almost completely silence it by closing the shutters. One bathroom was large and light filled; the second was quite tiny. A few suggestions to host Marco would be to provide more plentiful paper products (we had to go to the grocery store to buy more TP, paper towels). The kitchen was sparsely equipped for any real cooking but it didn't matter because we wanted to eat out anyway. One could probably make a simple pasta meal, however. Another suggestion would be to have some printed materials at the apartment with recommendations on essentials (wifi instructions, washer, heat), restaurant recommendations, local sites to see, etc. Overall, fantastic and would definitely return.

Family Trip to Rome

If your looking for a great location and comfortable space to stay in Trastevere don't pass this place up. We were five adults and the three bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect. We stayed eleven days and cooked dinner twice. The kitchen could use a couple of sharper knives for prep work, otherwise the kitchen was more than adequate. Marco was extremely easy to communicate with and we had no issues at all.

Great Location! Very large place

We stayed in this location for four nights. The location is top notch especially if you want to be close to the nightlife of Trastavere. It is very close but without the noise. It is also a close walk across the River to many of the famous sites. It is on a bus route as well. The kitchen has the basics although we just had breakfast in the apartment - we were on the go for lunch and there were so many good restaurants to try to dinner! The rooms are huge with a small living space as you enter. There are two bathrooms - one is VERY small with a very small shower - would be fine for small adult or children - not great for large adults. The other bathroom has a HUGE shower. The air conditioning works well in one room and only moderately well in the other two. We happened to be there on a very hot week. Overall great place to stay - Easy to check in and out.

Perfect location in Rome

The property presents as described in the narrative and photographs. The apartment is very large particularly for being situated in one of the busiest areas in Rome. My wife, two teenagers and I found the location perfect for a first visit to Rome. We walked to the Centro Storico to site see in the day then returned to the Trastevere in the evening to go out to dinner at one of the atmospheric restaurants. Great stay! Perfect Location

This rental is the perfect location for everything in Rome. So many restaurants, cafes, and gelato are just steps away. We stayed for 3 days in July. There is air conditioning unit in each bedroom and a fan in the family room. My only suggestion is to add portable fans to each bedroom to help circulate the air during the summer time.

Great time!

We really enjoyed the place. There was plenty of room for a family of six. We easily walked 15 min to the Pantheon and Fountain if Trevi. We also walked home from the Forum - 15 min. We enjoyed the nightly fun along the river (4 min walk) which was full of shops, entertainment and food We also easily took the buses to/ from the airport and train stations. We loved being in the Trastevere neighborhood with all the nightly action and restaurants surrounding us. My communication with the host was quick and detailed. Definitely recommend this great place!

Outstanding Location

Property location cannot be beat. Everything we wanted to do/see was at most a 30 minute walk. Otherwise there is a nearby cab station. Location benefits from being literally at the fringe (around the corner) to a gateway to all the busyness of Trastevere but it is surprisingly quiet. And it is two blocks from a bridge crossing the Tiber to access the older sites of Rome. Communication with owner was very good and he was very responsive. Apartment was clean spacious and very functional for a family. Decorations were minimal but plenty of storage and sitting area. The following comment is just a general FYI (we used a different apartment providing service for a different portion of our trip in a different region): seems like everyone collects taxes at check in, generally in cash, along with passport details of those staying so have Euros in your pocket and access to passports at time of check in.

Large apartment in good location

The host was very responsive. The apartment is old but the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. the bedrooms are enormous and the air conditioning (only in the bedrooms) is quiet and works remarkably well. Although there are several restaurants right below on a busy piazza, the noise was not bad. There is a washing machine and the building has a tiny elevator. The kitchen was ok, not great(my reason for the 4 stars instead of 5). While there were two baths with showers, one of the bathrooms was teeny - we were with 5 people and we all used the shower in the large bathroom. Marco was there to greet us and answer our questions. It would be nice if there were written instructions, ( at least we couldn’t find any). The local area is great with plenty of restaurant and a grocery store nearby.
