Njut av en avkopplande tillflyktsort, i den fullt möblerade, 2 sovrum, ett badrum, 1100 kvm stuga. Börja dagen med en kopp kaffe på den härliga bifogade sön veranda eller på den privata tillbaka uteplats. Sträck på benen med en sex kvarter promenad till centrum av staden. Bläddra i pittoreska butiker och affärer, äta lunch på en av de många kaféer, barer och restauranger. Titta på grannarna promenad på en bänk i Donnelly Park, se solnedgången över sjön vid Mt. Dora Lighthouse, eller ta en lek på Ice House Theatre.
Hungrig? Förbered en gourmetmåltid i det fullt utrustade köket och servera det i matsalen i vintage stil. Då som natten slingrar sig ner, mysa till en god bok i en överfylld stol i vardagsrummet. För den person som behöver vara "ansluten" stugan är helt ansluten med kabel och Wi-Fi.
När du buktar för att sova, klättra in i king size-sängen i sovrummet eller en av två enkelsängar i gästrummet.

Lovely historic cottage

The house was very clean and well stocked. Beds were comfy and linens nice. Furnishings were a beautiful blend of country chic and antiques. The owner took great care in decorating. Location about 6 short blocks to the center of Mount Dora by sidewalks. Only con (which doesn’t reflect on the house itself) is the intersection can be noisy. A noise machine enabled a good nights sleep.

The Best!

Great location, just a few blocks from downtown, everything was clean, neat and the home had all you needed. Beds were comfy and the yard had a cute patio are as well. Loved the decor, very cozy! Only downside were the steps to go into the house. If you need help walking or have bad knees or hips it could be a problem for you. I would absolutely stay here again@

Christmas in Mount Dora

This is the second time we stayed at the Crescent Moon but hopefully not our last. Everything was clean and homey great for the Holidays as it was for our previous working vacation. We were locked out at one point and called Debbie. This sounds like an exaggeration but it isn’t., within 3 minutes their truck comes in and fixed the problem. This was during the Holidays incredibly good service.

Perfect Cottage!

Everything you could wish for was supplied by this wonderful cottage in Mount Dora. This is our second time staying there and we will come back again!

Perfect Writing Retreat

The cottage has several desks and plenty of seating areas as well as being an easy drive into town to take in the local sites. Will definitely be looking at booking again in the future.

Absolutely perfect

This property and our host were absolutely wonderful. The cottage is so well decorated, meticulously clean, cozy, and close to downtown. I honestly can't think of any better way to spend time in Mount Dora. We will be back!

Cottage Retreat

Debbie is a great hostess who responds promptly to any need. We had a lovely stay and retreat, very comfortable, clean and near all the things we love to do. Great places to eat and shop. I would definately return.

Quaint Cottage with a Sophisticated Flare

The cottage is nicely decorated and organized with all of the makings for a cozy and enjoyable stay. Walking distance to 90% of our activities in the Mount Dora area. Dining downtown with no need for parking was awesome! Driveway accommodates multiple vehicles and antique markets and convenience stores are within a short drive's distance.

This cottage is absolutely adorable!! Everything we needed was there for use. It’s within walking distance to town. Communication was the fastest I’ve experienced on VRBO.

Perfect weekend getaway for the girls..

It was the cutest little cottage. My favorite place to drink my coffee was in the side room off of the dining room. I loved all the old pieces of decor and furniture. Very nice location to downtown. We will definitely be back.

Although my husband and I grew up in Central New Jersey, we raised our three children in South Florida. For a period of time, the family was spread along the east coast from Florida to Connecticut. It wasn't until 2012, when the Navy transferred my son to Cape Canaveral, that we thought, this would be the perfect opportunity to re-locate to Central Florida. My youngest daughter was living in Orlando with her husband, and was attending UCF at the time. So, in December of that year, my husband and I moved from New Jersey to Eustis, FL and now, we enjoy our family being within driving distance of one another.

Since moving to Lake County we have fallen in love with the area especially, Mt Dora, just one town over. We love that there is always something happening on the 'Mount', from the festivals, to parades and races.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Since Mt. Dora fits our lifestyle, we decided it would be our retirement town. So a year or so ago, we started wandering the streets looking for the perfect neighborhood to purchase a retirement home. We wanted a small mid-century home in the Historic District, on the parade route, close to town, that provided cottage style living.

Last summer we found the perfect house sooner than we expected; the Crescent Moon Cottage. Although we didn't expect to buy our retirement home at this time, we decided it was exactly what we were looking for and we'd probably never get another opportunity to purchase it.

So in April 2014 we became the proud owners of the Crescent Moon Cottage.

Every time I enter the Crescent Moon Cottage, a sense of calm comes over me. I'm not sure if it's the morning sun streaming in, or the coziness and comfort of the sun porch, or maybe the beautiful wood floors reminding me of the house I grew up in, all I know is, when I'm there, I'm home. And you will be too.
