NEIGHBORHOOD
This small neighborhood is lush and private yet a hop, skip and a jump to where you want to visit in the Beaufort area: Historic downtown, Parris Island, Hunting Island State Park (mile long sandy beach), Charleston and even Savannah, GA. The neighborhood also boasts a private boat marina and a casual waterside restaurant, Marker 244, with indoor & outdoor seating plus a great fried shrimp basket!

All aboard! Yep, we love em! Well behaved, truly loved dogs, more than welcomed with prior approval and a pet fee of $50 that is non-refundable. House comes equipped with doggie treats and pick up bags and a fenced in back yard. Even Fido can enjoy the clean Lowcountry air. There are also 2 Beaufort dog parks we can recommend.

Beaufort

Very pleasant and accessible home, we enjoyed our stay very much. It is centrally located for access to all the points of interests and restaurants that we went to. And the marina is very nice.

Marine Graduation

Awesome house!! Every room was beautifully decorated and we loved the open floor plan. The cheese and crackers were a delicious surprise upon arrival. The house was in a great location, very convenient to Parris Island and Beaufort. We would definitely stay here again.

Great home!

We enjoyed our stay at Lil Chill! This home was located in a beautiful neighborhood convenient to restaurants, grocery store, downtown, beach. Loved the decor and all the extras that made our stay so comfortable. We come to Beaufort every year for regatta. Location was just a few minutes to sailing club. The guys ended up getting 2nd place in their class!

Little Chill

Absolutely loved this property. Comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated and tremendous attention to detail with all the supplies provided. Elizabeth and Dennis are thoughtful hosts and the lasagna Elizabeth prepared was delicious! Highly recommend the property and the meal prep service. We plan on returning :)

Beautiful home in a great neighbourhood!

This home is a great central location for visiting all the beautiful cities of SC and Savannah. The home is beautiful, with lots of room and very relaxing. It is situated in a lovely neighborhood with a great little restaurant overlooking the water within a short walking distance. It would be nice if there was a second TV, especially during hockey playoffs. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

Lovely and restful

A perfect cool place to rest and relax in between the trips to Parris Island for rewarding but HOT events. We used the kitchen for several things, but one in particular was to make the buffalo chicken dip that our son had been asking for in his letters for the Family Day picnic. He ate most of the batch himself in between stories that will stay in our minds forever. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Perfect Amenities

Our family of 5 stayed here 3 nights for my daughters graduation from Parris Island. My wife and I have rented several homes throughout many vacations and this home was one of the best. Perfect location. Close to PI, Publix and several good restaurants. The house was perfectly decorated and amazingly clean when we arrived. Top notch amenities in the kitchen and bedrooms (master bedroom was almost too comfortable when trying to get up early to leave for PI). Elizabeth was beyond accommodating and super helpful. Will stay here again and highly recommend it!

Family vacation

I was a little nervous about using VRBO for the first time but we found the perfect place! Little chill is an absolutely beautiful home and Elizabeth and Dennis were perfect hosts. Great quiet location, easy to find. The house is beautifully decorated and has many thoughtful additions to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They have gone out of their way to make this feel like a home away from home. The only suggestion I have for them is maybe the addition of a 2nd TV. People travelling with children would especially appreciate this. We have stayed in a number of rental homes and this was by far the best experience we have had.

Wonderful Stay!

Our son graduated from the US Marine Corp on August 12th and our family stayed at "Little Chill" during the week leading up to his graduation. The house is close to everything...Parris Island, shopping, restaurants, etc. We had a very enjoyable stay and highly recommend it to anyone needing a house for a Marine graduation or just a place to stay while on vacation in the area. If my husband and I ever come back to the Beaufort area, we would love to stay here again! The hosts, Elizabeth and Dennis, have made sure that their home is comfortable and stocked with everything you need. Although we did not bring any pets, the house is pet friendly. We appreciated the bottled water and cheese and crackers left for us when we arrived. There was also a guest information guide which was very helpful because it gave ideas of things to do in the area and where to eat. Being in property management myself, it's the little details that sometimes can make a big difference. My family greatly appreciated the Jenkins' hospitality! Karen Biagi

Awesome Family Place!

We chose Little Chill in part due to the size of the home, there would be 6 of us staying for our son's Marine graduation, with an additional 7 family members who would be in the area as well. This was our first time using the VRBO, so I didn't know what to expect, but I was so very impressed. I hope that any future experience with VRBO is just as nice, Elizabeth and Dennis have certainly set the bar very high!! We were welcomed with a Marine flag flying for our son, and a wonderful message on the chalk board congratulating him. Every detail put into what was provided, and how the home was decorated, was well thought out. There were an additional 7 family members who came for graduation, so the meeting place was Little Chill, and everyone just loved it! The community was so very friendly, and the Back Porch Grill on the premises offered us an easy option for grabbing something quick to eat, or just to have a cold beer on a hot day. The pictures of this home are beautiful on the website, and the place is even better in person! Elizabeth and Dennis, thank you for making our first VRBO experience an awesome one!

Beautiful Home! Better than the pictures!

What an amazing place! The home was very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were awesome very comfortable and the pillows were great as well. We stayed from June 28th-July 1st 2016. For our son's boot camp graduation. The owner greeted us upon arrival made us feel at home and very comfortable. Hung the Marine Corp flag out for us which is such a nice touch. Wrote on the bulletin board welcoming our family and congratulated our son. Had nice cheese dip and crackers for us. Just so wonderful, the home was even better in person. It was absolutely an amazing experience. Great location not far at all from the base and nice little bar within walking distance. So nice to come home after long days in the heat and be able to just relax and spend time with family. The home had plenty of room. We were able to hang out and be comfortable with the family. Love it! Thank you so much to the Jenkins! I would highly recomend this home to anyone staying in the Port Royal area! Best Regards, The Brown Family

Marine Graduation / Mini Vacation

We absolutely LOVED this house! This adorable cottage was nestled in the most beautiful neighborhood adjacent to the Port Royal Marina - with a charming bar & restaurant you can walk to! The deck, marina & weekend live music were great! The attention to detail in this 3-bedroom house was OVER THE TOP! Elizabeth should be an interior designer ! We could've moved our clothes & pets... and literally moved in permanently! They welcome dogs & had doggie beds, & treats waiting if you want to bring your dog! Other than food... there was not ONE amenity - that you would need! We could've prepared a 5-course meal in this kitchen! The decor was fun & bright! Linens, & beds were top quality! The furniture was inviting... we were able to via Bluetooth listen to our favorite internet jazz radio! This awesome house was minutes from Parris Island, Lady's Island, Port Royal, DT Beaufort & a short drive to Hunting Island beach - a place you HAVE to go see - Dennis & Elizabeth even included a day pass to this incredible SC state park on the beach! We mixed our son's Marine graduation with a short vacation. The area & restaurants are OUTSTANDING! Highly recommend Dock Side in Port Royal & Q on Bay in DT Beaufort - service & food were A+ ! We just hope when we can come back... there's an availability! Best rental house we've EVER stayed in. Anywhere. Period. Oh, & Elizabeth & Dennis are among the two nicest people we've ever met! Great location!!

Perfect location! We traveled to Hilton Head, Tybee Island and Savanna!! Close to all three! Nice neighborhood. House was the perfect size and had everything we needed including a fenced in yard for our fur baby!! Highly recommend!

My family traveled to Parris Island to attend our sonā€™s USMC graduation! This little cottage was perfect for us! Close to dining, the USMC, and the interstate. House was spotless and super comfy. I would 100% recommend and think we would even come back and spend more time in the area.

We stayed here for my daughter's graduation from Parris Island. The location was perfect, so close to base. The house was incredibly clean and exactly as in the pictures. Elizabeth and Dennis were so nice and helpful, very friendly. We got a little turned around coming in, it was a long day of driving and we arrived at night. Dennis waited for us in the drive way with a flashlight. The cheese and crackers left for us was the nicest surprise and hit the spot. We walked to Market 244 and got a couple of bottles of wine, very convenient, and beautiful short walk. Having our pups with us was a huge bonus for which we're thankful. Seeing my daughter reunite with her dog after 13 long weeks brought tears to our eyes. Highly recommend staying here, especially for Parris Island graduations.

Port Royal vacation rental

Marine Graduation

We stayed here for our marineā€™s graduation. Such a beautiful home and wonderful location. We were so close to the base which made the early departures a breeze! I highly recommend staying here!

Clean, efficient and comfy stay for Marine Graduation

We loved our stay at this home hosted by Mr and Mrs Jenkins. The house was fully furnished and has all the little things to make the stay special. We came to see our son graduate from MCRD Parris Island and it served our needs so well. Shirt walk to a beautiful pub on the water with great food, within 8 minutes of the Parris island gate, and so warm and comfy when we came back to rest. We loved it. Many great restaraunts nearby and we tried several. Our marine said the bed was the best gift after sleeping on a spring cot for 13 weeks! Thanks Mr and Mrs Jenkins. Your place is awesome.

Great place

The accommodations were excellent as was the location. I would definitely stay here again. There is plenty to do with on a very small radius of this location. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were very comfortable as well. It was an overall great experience and I would recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Labor Day

Perfect location! Easy access to ladyā€™s island and the beach. Got lucky and had fireworks on Friday. What a wonderful house! And Dennis and Elizabeth are wonderful hosts. Introduced us to Marker 422 our new favorite restaurant within walking distance. Weā€™ll be back!

Fabulous Graduation Jewel

This wonderful home & prime location is the BEST! Staying here optimized our precious hours to honor our new Marine!! Our travel time to Parris Island was so quick with tips provided by the owners (much gratitude) helped us know where to go on base, cooking breakfast in the early hours was a breeze in this well-equipped kitchen, & the short walk to the marina restaurant with a fabulous view was bliss. The beds, linens, & extras were super comfortable & we all had plenty of rooms to enjoy our lovely visit.

Wonderful stay!

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for a month in July. We loved the neighborhood. There was plenty of shade so we could walk our dogs several times each day despite the heat. If you like the beach, this house is 20 minutes or so from Hunting Island beach (our favorite). The house was clean and cool; I loved the decor. Having 3 full baths was a definite plus. The owners live right next door and are there for you when/if you need them. Super friendly folks! I also met a lot of nice people around the neighborhood. I highly recommend a stay here; we hope to be back next July for another month-long stay!

Hi we're Elizabeth & Dennis. After spending most of our life in cold weather climates (Wisconsin & Maine), we retreated to Beaufort, South Carolina after discovering it on a road trip. Now this has been our home for the past 12 years.

Elizabeth is a semi-retired chef, and Dennis a semi-retired pharmacist and small business owner. We love living in the Lowcountry because of the natural beauty, the weather, the boating and the food.

Beaufort is a little slice of heaven and we know a stay at Little Chill will introduce & seduce you to the wonders of this special place nestled on the Intercoastal Waterway.

Why they chose this property

We chose our two side by side vacation homes due to the location and super neighborhood. We are literally five minutes to Parris Island, downtown Beaufort, Sands beach, Publix, and Spanish Moss Trail.

What makes this property unique
