3 generations ...perfect for all ages ...living kitchen fabulous for family time. Welcome box on arrival very thoughtful and made very welcome by host. Excellent all round would highly recommend...thank you
We had a fabulous time in the house which is ideally located for a quick drive into Killarney. Only thing I would change would be the size of the beds, the Queen beds did feel small. Apart from that everything else was perfect!
Great house in a lovely position. Ideal for our family of 10 - three generations.
Extremely helpful and pleasant owners.
No negatives!
Counting the rabbits in the field was a daily enjoyment.
We were 7 adults staying here over New Years and I couldn’t rate this place highly enough. The en suite bathrooms for every room is such a bonus, especially if you have a lots of couples staying. All decent size rooms too. The house was lovely and warm and equipped with everything you need. Showers are powerful with hot water. Noelle was so easy to communicate with and left a fabulous hamper on arrival. We have already recommended this place to friends and would absolutely stay here again. It’s a great find!
What a beautiful house this is. We had a brilliant time there and our host Noelle could not have been more helpful.
Everything you need is there
Highly Recommend.
A close drive to the town, a spacious home and would definitely stay again. Noelle was a lovely host and attended to all our needs.

Beautiful and spacious house
We had a fantastic time at Knockcarrig House. Noelle was really “on it” with communication and even gave directions to the property from 4 different airports! We had a welcome pack with coffee, bread, butter, wine etc and delicious scones which was above and beyond expectations.
The house itself is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated to a high spec. I wanted the “master bedroom” as I had done the organising but I honestly couldn’t decide which room was the nicest so just chose one with a bath! Beds were very comfortable with lovely linen. Every room has an en suite and the showers are hot and powerful. The bathrobes and hairdryers in each room are a great touch too.
Kitchen is fully equipped and everything had been thought about. Noelle even provided highchair, travel cot, change mat, wipes and nappy sacks for a friends baby.
The house is set back off a quiet road (the only thing is is that most taxi drivers struggle to find you without clear instructions!) and has a lovely outside area where we got to enjoy the sun (on a bank holiday weekend too!!).
All in all, we had a brilliant time and would have loved to have stayed longer. I would not hesitate to recommend the house and really can’t fault it at all. Thank you very much Noelle for a fab weekend!

Perfect!
Our family spent a week at Knockcarrig House this April. We were a group of as many as 9. This home was truly more than a "home away from home". The house was immaculate, with all bedrooms having an en suite bathroom facilities. We were less than 5 minutes from Killarney Center. Noelle was a gracious host and accommodating in every way. My mother of 85 years accompanied us on the trip and Noelle was kind enough to allow us to check in early to accommodate her after a long flight. She quickly responded to all of our needs and questions(especially when we locked ourselves out!). The home lacked nothing! Having a washer and dryer available was a bonus! We were able to have a few dinners at home instead of going out to eat and we all enjoyed sitting around the spacious dining table and playing games after dinner and discussing our day of sightseeing! We could not have had a more relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you, Noelle and Paudie. Having Knockarrig House to spend our time in Killarney made our trip even more memorable!

Fantastic house
Noelle's house is perfect in every way. You can tell she loves this house. It was fantastic for our group of 8 couples. Nobody had to fight over the bedrooms as they were all beautiful each with ensuites. Noelle was there to greet us and showed us all around the house with instructions for everything. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in the area. You don't have to look anywhere else!!
House was perfect for a group of 10. Great communication with Noelle. Living area was fantastic and the children loved looking out at the cows in the field. Great location and proximity to town center and grocery stores.
We had 6 adults stay in Noelle's home for 3 nights. Noelle met us when we arrived and showed us around the home, which is spacious, clean, modern, and charming. The home had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, and even some perks we did not expect. The home is conveniently located to Killarney's sights and we had no problem driving out for local day trips. It's in a quiet, relaxing, serene location. I'm happy to recommend this property to anyone - adults, families with kids, etc. We all would gladly come back again.
Our stay here was beyond what we expected. The home is perfect for a more intimate family experience. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrise on the patio in the mornings, dining together and game nights. Noelle went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay at Knockcarrig House. Noelle was a great host and very helpful. The location was perfect to easily pop into Killarney Centre or take in the various highlights of the southwest of Ireland. We were a group of 8 and this provided plenty of room to spread out and be comfortable for the week. Very highly recommended.
This was the second time we stayed at this property. Th owner is super friendly and welcoming. We all absolutely love everything about the house. The house size, the coziness, the cleanliness we all perfect. If we get back to Ireland we would stay for a third time. The best place for a family.
This is a 5 star booking all around. If this home hits on size, price point and location lock your stay in while you can. Beds are beyond comfortable. All closets have luxurious robes and slippers. Bathroom towels are hotel quality. All showers come with non-slip mats. Kitchen has all the extras with loads of plates, serving dishes, top end pots and pans and plenty of cutlery. Appreciate the sizable laundry area and that the home was stocked with all the basics we needed. Noel is accommodating and gracious. This stay was just like coming home.
We could not have enjoyed our stay at Noelle's property more! She was quick with responses and met us at check-in to show us where everything is and how to use appliances. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and entertaining our party of 7 (which got up to 11 at times for dining). The welcome basket was a wonderful surprise and thoughtful touch with the essentials, as well as wine and chocolate and a hand written note.
The way the house is set up, our kids had their own "wing" with some distance from the adult's rooms. There were toiletries, laundry detergent, hair dryers, games, books and best of all - cows in the yard.
The property was conveniently located for the several day trips we took to Dingle, Kenmare and of course, downtown Killarney.
When we come back to the area, we will definitely be requesting Noelle and Paudie's lovely home.
Best VRBO we've stayed in by far. The welcome was wonderful. The view was amazing. The proximity to town was incredible. The cows were charming. Every necessity was in hand. We loved everything. We hated to leave.
Everything about this property, and our stay there, was fantastic.
Our group comprised seven family members - all adults - touring Ireland for two weeks. The five bedrooms upstairs - each with its’ own ensuite bathroom - couldn’t have been more perfect for our group, with one bedroom to spare.
Everything about the house and property is exactly as it looks in the photos. Exactly.
What you can’t see in the photos is the amazing host. Noelle met us on site even though our arrival was delayed, and took her time to show us where everything was located in every single room.
And then there was very large starter gift basket on the kitchen counter…..which meant no need for grocery shopping until the next morning.
In short, if you need a base for a group to explore Killarney, Ring of Kerry, Dingle, etc….stop looking, and stay here.

Our bridal suite had some sort of mix up and we didn’t end up having a place for the bridal party to get ready. Thankfully this house had more than enough space for the entire party to get ready including the grooms side!
we had a lovely time at this house and would recommend for anyone for any occasion :)
We had a fabulous stay at the house! It was a group of 7 of us including 3 kids. Noelle was so welcoming and went over everything with us so we knew where everything was and the house was perfectly stocked. We had so much room and the kids enjoyed looking at the cows and playing in the grass. It was a great location for Killarney activities. 100/10, would recommend over and over again!
The house was perfect for our family of five adults. Loved the location (and the cows out in the pasture). Wished we had more time to spend enjoying the house. Noelle was a great host - very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!
Great house and perfect location to explore Killarney and the Dingle peninsula

Why they chose this property
Welcome to Knockcarrig House, Killarney, Ireland!
Here we offer a little bit of Irish country living in Killarney to holidaymakers. We built Knockcarrig on the edge of our private 20 acre cattle farm which is less than a 10 minute drive to the town centre of Killarney. 'Knockcarrig' comes from the Irish language which means hill of the stones. As farmers who feel an incredible link to the land, it was only fitting to call our house after the farm land on which it is found.
If you were to literally start digging in the fields, you would find plenty of stones in the earth! Traditionally these stones were then used to build walls to divide the fields of the farm. And as for the hill part- well if you were to walk from one end of the farm to the other, you would find yourself climbing a little hill which gives you a panoramic view of the magnificent McGillicuddy Reek mountains!
