RECENTLY RENOVATED! You will love this adorable cottage, with it's own private boat landing, suitable for most boats. You will truly love the tranquil feel of this home! The cottage was built in the 1950's and the charm shows throughout! This cottage sleeps 6 people comfortably with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The primary bedroom has a king bed, cable tv and dvd player. The secondary bedroom has 2 twin beds, and cable TV. The living room has a pull out sofa, cable tv and a dvd player. The kitchen is well appointed with all creature comforts, such as microwave, coffee machine and all dishes and cookware. The original features in the cottage, truly make it feel like home! The home is stocked with board games, cornhole and outdoor chairs, to truly spend quality time together! Outside, you will love the huge deck with spectacular views of your own cove. Put your boat in the private landing and leave it there during your entire trip! An outdoor charcoal grill is available for your convenience, as well as a fire pit to gather around after a long day on the lake!

Nice location, missing some standard amenities

We had a family reunion at the lake so this location was nice and convenient. We arrived after the sun had set and so the lack of a driveway meant we drove past it at first. House was very clean (so clean, my son walked straight into the storm door and bloodied his nose because it couldn't tell there was anything there!). We were surprised to discover the shower in the bathroom had no amenities (shampoo, shower gel, etc.) which was a first for us at a Vrbo. A nearby Walmart let us get that taken care of the next morning. There were a few lights out (the vanity in the bathroom and it seemed like one other switch didn't do anything) but the TVs and appliances all worked great. We didn't use any of the boating facilities due to other plans, but it seems like this would be super convenient if that's your jam.

A Wonderful Week

We loved our 10 day stay at the lakehouse. The house was very comfortable and in a great location to visit local attractions. We loved sitting in the spacious yard at the abundant nature. I would definitely return.

Perfect getaway!

We are locals who love to go to the lake with our adult children. This was a great location and the private boat launch was perfect for our jet skis. The house is adorable and well equipped. The host was super responsive! Can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful setting

Located on a canal, there was a constant display of the wild kingdom with all kinds of birds, frogs, fish and alligators. Just a short paddle away is the most beautiful swamp and little bay one could wish for, with an osprey desk in easy view. The cabin was lovely and the box of Breyers Ice Cream couldn't have been a random event, thanks for a wonderful time.

Locks Trip

This home is absolutely gorgeous, it is EXACTY as the listing showed and described it. The property owner was very quick to reply to any questions i had and super friendly. The boat ramp and canal were perfect even with our larger boat. This is an amazing home to stay in for a trip through the locks down to Charleston! Overall we were extremely pleased with this rental and would recommend it to anyone!

Mini vacation

Great location and equipped with everything one needs on vacation. Enjoyed Cypress Gardens in Monck’s Corner and the cinema in Summerville. The host Sheena Maurer made sure that we were able to access the key for entry. Wonderful getaway and very quiet neighborhood.

Family gatherings for navy graduation

Sheena was great The date of the graduation had changed a week or 2 before our expected arrival. Sheena made the time change happen. Thanks to her the house was open and ready. Short Fall Trip

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake cottage in Moncks Creek. Everything was clean and available to use. We enjoyed the views of the canal from the backyard and say on the patio despite it being "cold" for us Floridians. It was great for the 6 of us. I put two boys in the twin bed room and two shared the pullout sofa and my husband and I had the King sized bed room. It was small and cozy and that is what I wanted. Highly recommend.

Wedding Weekend

We purchased this home to be a family get-away and it has truly been a blessing. We only live 20 minutes away but the ability to meet your family for a weekend boating trip, in just a short time, is such a great feeling! We've enjoyed many long weekends and weeks at this home with family and friends.

Why they chose this property

The moment we walked into the home we felt at peace and we both agreed we were able to breathe a little easier. The home is comfortable enough to feel like you are at home! We've truly tried to make the home feel as cozy as possible with a "no muss, no fuss" policy. We've found life long friends on the lake and love to see them every weekend that the sun is out!

What makes this property unique

This home had the unique benefit of being on a personal cove, with a boat landing and dock. This is so hard to come by! When we pulled out of the cove for the first time, it felt like we'd owned the home our whole lives!
