Cute apartment in good central location

This apartment is in a good location to access town on foot or by metro and has restaurants and a supermarket minutes away. That said, it does rest at the top of a fairly steep incline - something to consider if you are not in shape or silver lining - want to get in shape! The apartment sleeps 4 but the twin beds are probably less comfortable than the full, so ideal for a couple. Great host!

Our stay in Lisbon

The property was clean and well taken care of. It was a smaller than I expected for four adults, but we were able to manage. The host was excellent. She was there when we arrive and made us feel welcome. She also kindly allowed us to stay later than checking out time as we had a late afternoon flight home. Good location.

Excellent Introduction to Lisbon

This was our first stay as part of a longer family vacation throughout Portugal. Luis was a great host. He was always proactive and approached the check-in process like a pro. We stayed their with four family members and all had their own beds. The flat is small, but it is centrally located and was a great base from which plan excursions within the city.

Perfect place and neighborhood to experience Lisbon

Luis and his wife were extra ordinary hosts. They are in touch several times before we checked in to share information about Lisbon, travel to apt etc. The place is cozy as detailed in the description and perfect place to experience Lisbon and a stay in a traditional neighborhood that is close every type of restaurants, grocery shops, snack shops, metro.

The apartment is small for a family, but it was clean not good if you’re an older couple since you have a narrow staircase to climb to get to the second floor but overall a nice place

Short walk or uber to nearly everything

This place is in a great location as we were able to walk or take a short uber ride to nearly everything. The property was clean and comfortable. And our host was timely, communicative, and gave us helpful pointers. I'd definitely recommend!

Uphill Battle

John, Gail and Shelly: Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada After enduring more than 20 hours of travel due to delays and then finally finding the right street we looked up and up and up the hill to the apartment- that climb is very daunting to someone from Winnipeg which boasts many rivers but no hills. Thankfully by the end of the week we could almost climb the hill without gasping for air. Seriously though, the apartment was central and within walking distance to wonderful shopping, restaurants and tourist sights. With public transportation just 5 minutes away it made it easy to see the many Lisbon sights. The apartment was well equipped and very clean and Luis was very helpful and accommodating even carrying our luggage upstairs. Lots of information about Lisbon available in the apartment. A great place to stay.

Can’t imagine a better location

We stayed for over 50 days and highly recommend this apartment. The location is superb just off Lisbon’s major avenue. It is an easy walk to both the downtown area and to the Rato, Chiado, Bairro Alto areas and the area around Edward VII park. There is also a subway stop about 5 minutes away. The apartment is quite large and is well furnished. It is well maintained and very clean. It is bright and has windows on three sides that provide natural lighting. Luis is an exceptional host and a pleasure to deal with. He provided us with great information that improved our stay. Ask about where to find one of the best traditional Portuguese restaurant in Lisbon. (You can see it from one of the windows) Our stay was from early January to early March. We are planning to return next year and definitely hope to be able to rent this apartment again.

Very nice apartment in a great location

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Great location just two blocks off the main street to downtown and close to two metro stops. Bit of a steep hill to climb to get to unit, but at the bottom of the hill are a number of nice restaurants and a small grocery store. Good wifi and comfortable beds - nice bathroom as well, but the kitchen is a bit limited - small refrig and just a two burner hot plate. Would gladly return and Luis was a wonderful host

Great place

The apartment is small, but very clean and perfectly adequate as a base for a family of four exploring Lisbon. The kitchen was basic, but had everything we needed. Bathroom was modern and very nice. The area seemed safe. Grocery shopping is nearby. 10 minute walk into town. Luis was very kind, accommodating and easy to deal with. We definitely recommend it to other travellers.

Location, location location

Lisbon had HILLS, big, big hills. So be advised, this apartment requires a steep 400 feet hike up the final hill, but beyond that, it's a great location near Lisbon's most beautiful avenue and needed transpo stops. Good grocery store at bottom of hill. Lovely hosts, very responsive. Minor bar noise at night, (w/o music) and loud children own the streets around it in late afternoons, rooms are very small, but the negatives are relatively small compared to the excl. location and very kind, attentive and caring hosts.

Loved the Lisboa apartment

My wife and I were looking for an apartment that we could "live in" for a month, and found this gem of a place in an ideal location: restaurants, shops, metros, buses, and the major street in the whole city, "Liberdade!" were all within close proximity to the apartment. So we lived there: cooked, ate, washed our clothes, watched TV, and knew it was time to go home when my wife started to redecorate the apartment. Loved the place, and the owners were there for us when we arrived, and when we left, and we were in contact with them throughout the stay. They were immensely helpful and friendly. RENT IT NOW.

Very nice stay

We stayed for 5 nights with our little kids. Luis and his wife made our stay very comfortable. Very close of public transport/grocery stores and restaurants. Also a very safe neighbourhood. The appartment also was very neat and self sufficient.

Ottima soluzione a pochissima distanza dal centro

Zona eccezionale. Tutti i trasporti con il centro a portata di mano, se si vuole andare a piedi in 20/25 minuti si raggiungono le principali attrazioni. Nei dintorni vicinissimi il Museo Banksy e la Cinemateca Portoghese, ma anche tanti ottimi ristorantini e pasticcerie. Appartamento un po' freddo (21-28 dicembre), ma confortevole quanto basta e silenzioso. Luis ospite gentilissimo e disponibilissimo. Super consigliato!

Très bien.

L'appartement est parfaitement situé. À 2 minutes de marche nous sommes sur le boulevard de Liberdade. L'acceuil a été très facile. L'appartement est propre bien équipé. Le salon est petit, mais les chambres sont d'un bon format. Durant notre séjour ce fut très tranquille.

Très bon séjour chez Luis et Rute

Le logement est étroit mais très agréable et fonctionnel, propre et conforme à la description. Super bien placé pour rayonner dans Lisbonne (le métro est à 10 minutes de marche) Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances à Lisbonne, où nous avons été très bien accueillis par Luis. Merci à vous, Luis, et à une prochaine fois !
