Lovely Serene Setting

We visit Aberdeenshire most Decembers and the setting of this charming cottage is about as idyllic as it gets. We enjoyed it very much and some of our favourite places (Crathie, Ballater, Braemer, Duff House) are within easy reach.

Perfekt stay

A very comfortable place, good kitchen equipment and a lovely terrace. Although a bit high-priced: it is worth every single penny. Definitely recommendable!

Beautiful countryside views

I would highly recommend staying at Boghead; the property was absolutely as advertised and very comfortable. Fiona and Thomas were most welcoming and we even had a tour of the farm. The views over the fields (sheep & cattle) and onto the hills beyond are second to none. So relaxing, but also plenty around and about to do and see.

Amazing place lovely scenery!

A lovely little stay. Cottage very well equipped. Living room has a magnificent view of rolling hills and wildlife. Very spacious. As you are driving up the single track road be careful with the potholes, they are avoidable just take it easy. The owners are very lovely and the guest book has a little bit of background personal history of them and the place. The place has plenty of leaflets about the surrounding areas if you’re stuck for things to do. Wish we could have stayed longer!

February half term

A lovely high quality property, amazing location, friendly owners. In the heart of a working farm which gave us a great opportunity to see parts of a daily routine from the comfort of the cottage. Lovely views from every room's window ....We loved how quiet it was, how welcoming the owners were and how free we felt throughout our stay. Absolutely reccommend it!

Such a lovely stay!

We enjoyed our time at the cottage and on the farm. The hosts were very kind and helpful, especially as storm Eunice waylaid our travel situation. Fiona and Tom went out of their way to make sure we were OK and could get home. The farm is lovely and the lambs are sweet. We highly recommend!!!

Relaxing break

Beautiful character property in an idyllic setting. Thoughtfully restored. The Stable was very clean and well equipped, also had everything we needed for our toddler. Great spot to get away from it all. The stars were amazing! The reflexology session from Fiona helped with the relaxation, would highly recommend. Thank you Fiona and Thomas for a well needed break.

Very nice cottage ,warm and clean The location town is not very nice though I

Nice place to us3 as a base for walking but main towns are run down 40 minutes to Banchory area which offers more and is arguably more upmarket and interesting for walks Well kept property and peacfull Dugi Bell

Lovely cottage. This two bedroomed (two bathrooms) property is great and finished to a high modern standard with parking outside. The surrounding countryside is very picturesque. We had a lovely week (and wished we could stay longer) and hope to return again some day.

Lovely stay at the Stables

We loved our stay at the stables, the cottage is beautiful with beautiful views of the mountains. The cottage had all the facilities with really comfortable beds and amazing waterfall shower. Thomas was really kind to welcome us when we arrived and gave suggestions for places we could visit nearby during our stay. Absolutely enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back.

Lovely house in a peaceful location

The house was really clean and beautifully decorated. Plenty of books to read and info on local things to do. The location was great, very rural and there were some lovely runs locally. We didn't need any help but the owner met us at the start and explained everything we needed to know. WiFi is evidently from the main house and so very limited. It's worth downloading maps etc before arrival. This could do with a signal booster. House stocked with cleaning supplies and a nice arrival basket. Kitchen fully stocked with everything needed to cook meals. One clear night we got to star gaze and it's so quiet (apart from the sheep and cows who don't count!). Overall a great stay in a lovely house. No complaints at all.

Fantastic 2nd visit to Boghead Farm

Lovely stay in a very clean stable conversion with everything you could need. Total escapism on the farm and close to the Cairngorms and Moray coast to explore. Would highly recommend. Our 2nd trip here and will hopefully be back. Fiona and Thomas always so friendly and welcoming.

Peace in beautiful countryside

A tastefully converted property in beautiful rural surroundings. The hosts were friendly and attentive but never intrusive. The area has lots of attractive castles, gardens, towns and beaches, and although there are no facilities in walking distance, everything is available within a short drive.
