This is a beautiful property. The studio was spacious and clean. You can sit in the garden and have a cup of coffee. The unit is next to the owner’s main house but you still have total privacy. It’s quiet and near a preserve where you can hike. We would stay here again!
We very much enjoyed our stay in this comfortable little studio. Walking the nature preserve was nice and the neighborhood featured many beautiful houses and flowers.
A great place to stay during UCSB’s graduation weekend. Not too far from Goleta, close to downtown, roomy enough for hanging out a little with extra family members between events. The accommodations are homey.

Great Stay
Beautiful property with a convenient location and gracious hosts. I hope to stay here again.
We had a wonderful time during our stay at "The Palace." The location was tranquil and peaceful outside of the busy-ness of downtown, while still being close by and convenient. The space was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. There was room to relax while we were there and we loved the beautiful courtyard and fountain out front. The hosts were friendly and kind without being intrusive. We enjoyed chatting with them and they gave us good recommendations for breakfast restaurants. I would definitely recommend it!
Such a delightful place to spend a few days! I met Christina the night I arrived and she was very welcoming. The property was very clean, had a well-appointed small kitchen area and bathroom, and had room to relax indoors and outside. It is located in a safe and quiet neighborhood and surrounded by gardens and a patio. It had a large area set apart in the driveway for guest parking. I hope to stay here again!
The Palace fit our vacation needs perfectly. It is very comfortable, has beautiful views and the location is great. Christina and Michael were very welcoming and knowledgable about Santa Barbara. We will come back.
We loved the Palace - beautiful and comfortable space in the gorgeous backdrop of the Foothills. It felt just enough ‘away’ to be peaceful but a quick 10 min to downtown. Our hosts were also very helpful and communicative. Highly recommend!
Clean and well stocked stay for a weekend trip my boo and I had for the Memorial Day weekend! Location was beautiful and close enough to many sites within Santa Barbara.
Check in process was super easy. Would absolutely recommend this place to others in the future or even stay again!
This is an magnificent property and comfortable studio to spend a few restful nights in. The setting is quiet and well located to enjoy Santa Barbara. Christine and Michael were very attentive and welcoming and we plan to return. Carol and Fred
Lovely Studio Apartment in the Hills Above Santa Barbara
This is a studio apartment next to their main home, but the hosts have created a space that feels very much like its own little oasis. The apartment gets lots of natural light, and it is a decent size with a separate walk-in closet on the way to the bathroom. The location is wonderful, only a few minutes from the highway (and so about 15 minutes for virtually everything) but still very secluded and tranquil. The only caveats are that it is a studio apartment: the bed is a pull-down Murphy bed and the kitchen is not set up for serious cooking (small fridge, no oven, etc.) We were there for a two day escape, and it was perfect for us.
We loved our time in Santa Barbara! This studio was in a great location because one felt far removed from any busy streets or busy nightlife, but we could drive within minutes to great restaurants, the botanic garden and even the ocean. Plenty of room for a couple—really enjoyed the extra space near the bathroom to store our luggage and clothes. Although we dined out each evening, the kitchen was stocked so that it would be easy to prepare dinners etc. The neighborhood was very pretty with lots of beautiful landscaping. We would definitely visit again.

great location
Very peaceful and comfortable space. We really enjoyed our stay. If you cook I would compare the kitchen to camping except for the microwave/oven. The fridge is small and you have a plug in two small burner stove top. Pots and pans are few but I am sure if you needed something Christina would accommodate you. The evening walks up the hill delight you with a great view.
Nice spot, just don't miss the driveway. I missed the turn and went up the road to turn around and had a neighbor in a jeep block the road and harrass us about where we were going. My wife was scared by this encounter, but once we ended up getting there everything was fantastic.

Just What We Needed
A very comfortable, spacious studio with everything we needed for a weekend getaway to visit family in Santa Barbara. Comfortable bed and well designed bathroom w/ a stall shower & lots of counter space. Kitchen is well equipped, (except there are no wine glasses-odd for a wine destination area), w/ enough appliances to satisfy our needs. The owners are friendly & make the experience easy & enjoyable. We'll be back. Thanks C & M
Wonderful getaway on the outskirts of Santa Barbara
My wife and I very much enjoyed our 3-night stay in this very comfortable studio in the foothills at the edge of Santa Barbara. It was as described and depicted in the photos, and very clean. The courtyard was a wonderful place to sit and do some reading. The landscaping all around the yard is gorgeous. Although it's several minutes drive away from downtown Santa Barbara and the harbor, that's as much an advantage as a disadvantage. And right at the bottom of the street is the San Marco Foothill Preserve with access to a number of hiking trails. When we walked down there to explore, we bumped into our hosts, Christina and Michael, who were just finishing their hike and generously lent us their hiking poles (and did so again the next day--thanks!). Except for that chance encounter, we did not see them during our stay, so the whole visit felt very private. But Christina was very responsive whenever I communicated with her. Would definitely stay there again.
We had an amazing time staying at this studio! It is very spacious and extremely cozy. Check in process was very easy. We arrived later in the day, unloaded our bags and had a look around, the pics in the listing do not do it justice. We had plans for the evening and could not wait to get back. Someone was at the main house during our stay but they did not bother us at all and had the garage door not been opened we wouldn't have even noticed they were there. During our stay it was very quiet and peaceful. The place was clean, plenty of blankets, towels, and it had the basic necessities to cook a meal (we didn't cook during our stay). We did use the fridge and it worked perfectly fine. There was only two of us but there is lots of room for maybe a total of 3-4 people..... We would love to return and stay here again.

Serene Weekend Staycation
I had a wonderful stay at the Palace. I traveled to Santa Barbara from Long Beach for a Death Cab concert at the Santa Barbara bowl (only a 15 minute drive away). The property hosts were extremely welcoming but not too overbearing. Although they live right on the property I barely saw them which enhanced the seclusion. The property looks exactly like the pictures. Everything you need is provided in your cozy guesthouse. OMG, the bed, linens and pillows are to die for. I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud in. There are lots of cooking utensils if you want to prepare small meals. The waterfall shower head was lovely as well. Truly an enchanting place to be. I loved the seating area next to the fountain. I got a chance to sit out there to moon/star gaze. The views are breathtaking. The property is conveniently located to downtown Santa Barbara and the beach. I thoroughly enjoyed my staycation and I would definitely recommend this property to friends/family. Perfect for a solo vacation, romantic excursion, or a getaway with your favorite travel buddy. I will definitely be visiting the Palace again in the near future. Thanks for being so accommodating, Christina and Michael! I felt like a queen this weekend. See you guys soon! :)
We enjoyed our stay at this unit. The location is great because it is close to downtown Santa Barbara and Goleta, where our college daughter lives. Yet, being up in the hills with a gorgeous succulent garden and fountain makes it feel secluded, private. (We were the only people there in the house as far as I could tell.) The unit had everything we needed kitchen-wise and it had enough furnishings (a chaise and a couch) so our family of four could have family movie night. (We brought our Roku stick from home.) The bed is a Murphy bed, so it’s adequate in terms of comfort. We would stay here again.
Great location - wine tour picked us up at the property (sometimes you have to meet at a central location), easy to get to everything in and around Santa Barbara, close to great hiking. Beautiful neighborhood.
Great communication with hosts - gave us privacy but also quick to respond to our requests. Restaurant recommendations were spot on.
Would definitely stay here again!
