The house is well done with plenty of nice furniture for everyone. The bedroom basement is nice, but it's worth clarifying that it is ONE bedroom with 3 beds in it - there is no separation. It also has a somewhat musty smell. They have plenty of bedding and really everything you need in the house.
Outside there is a nice big patio, but no view of the lake. The deck off the house needs to be painted and the view is not that great - lots of trees blocking. Yes, I understand DNR rules, but you shouldn't go here thinking you are going to sit on the deck and have a beautiful view. The best view is from the picture window in the living room. The path down to the pier is not safe for anyone not steady on their feet. It is super narrow and more like a trail. The landscaping around the property just plain sucks. They haven't done much except put in the patio. When we were there, the water by the pier was mucky - no swimming by the pier. The pontoon boat was very old, but ran fine, and was $168 for the day. Check in is at noon, but you can't rent the boat for 1/2 day. It was fantastic to have access to the kayaks next door, but it was another dirt trail walk on a small hill to get to them. The lake is big and beautiful and you certainly can swim, just not close to the pier.
Some Saturday nights in the summer there is car racing a few blocks down the street which can get loud.
I imagine this is a fabulous place to stay in the winter if you like ice fishing/snowmobiling
