Cosy Cottage

Great place to stay with excellent access to Cambridge and local attractions. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well equipped and ideal for a couple. We appreciated the breakfast provisions and good communications with our hosts.

Nice, but under-equipped

The cottage was warm and comfortable, but we found a few basic items missing that would have made life a bit easier. There was a table to eat at, but only one chair so we had to use chairs from the garden to have a family meal. There could also be a few more items to stock the kitchen area too, such as a small supply of bin bags or oven proof dishes for cooking.

Cute, characterful cosy cottage

Stayed here with my teenage twin daughters and our dog. The back garden was perfect for sitting enjoying a coffee in the mornings, the cottage is well equipped, and lovely and warm. The only thing I would recommend is a rubber slip mat for the bath….one of my daughters fell over as the bath is very slippery and landed on her ribs on of the roll top.

Very steep stairs. Very busy road 3’ from front door

Property excellent apart from steep stairs. Location so close to very busy road meant very noisy from 6am to 9 pm, also bus parked outside window so no privacy in lounge. Need great care leaving house due to fast traffic only inches away. Great shame, it spoilt lovely house otherwise.

Our visit to Dollydrop 17th century cottage

Very good booking service (first visit to the site). Information given good and clear. Finding cottage from the A1 was abit tricky when you do not have satnav, but once found a different route out was ok. Most enjoyable stay in lovely cottage.

Our thoughts!

Although we only stayed a night 5pm to 10am, we felt very welcome and it was exactly the break we needed... A nice touch was the little attention to detail bits like a milk, croissants etc... Made all the difference to our stay! We will definitely visit again...

Lovely cottage

Really helpful owner who sorted out the conundrum of the travel cot. We very much appreciated the provision of tea, coffee, milk and croissants. Lovely little old cottage that oozed history. Only downside was the shower curtain which we never quite mastered. Would stay again.

Cosy cottage, clean and comfortable

We were two couples staying for a weekend break visiting friends nearby. Perfect pad to hang out. Easy distance from Wimpole Hall National Trust and Cambridge. Local take away leaflets available and delivered for free. Plenty of hot water, heating flexible to meet our preference. Exactly what we needed. Many thanks.

Pretty little character cottage

Lovely little cottage, nice homely touches. Friendly welcome from Aiden, Louise and Bailey the dog. Sweet little cottage garden at the back of the cottage, plus use of a shady seating area underneath the Apple tree. Bailey shared his huge paddock with our Daisy dog who enjoyed her stay at Dollydrops cottage too.
