Breakers Pointe is a 2200 sq ft beachfront home located in Pointe San Luis subdivision. This two-story home features an open concept kitchen, dining and living room. Beautiful distressed pine floors throughout the home plus lots of windows makes this home feel bright and spacious.

The large kitchen includes a breakfast nook facing the beach so you can enjoy beach views while eating. A large dining table brings the family together for meals and makes a great place to gather for family board games.

This home is in a quiet neighborhood and sits in a cul-de-sac. Beach access is available with a community dune walk-over located just one home away.

Large deck with partially covered and screened in area and views of the Gulf of Mexico.

Second Level: Bedroom 2 with Murphy Bed (Double), TV and deck access; Bedroom 3 with two sets of Bunk Beds (4 Twins) and TV; Bedroom 4 with two Twin beds and TV; Bedroom 5 with one Queen Bed, TV and deck access. Two shared bathrooms

Location: 20.2 mile drive to 61st Street; 23.3 mile drive to 25th & Strand; 19.5 miles to Moody Gardens/Schlitterbahn Waterpark.

Family fun

It was the perfect home for a family fun trip. Steps away from the beach. We unfortunately had cold wet weather but the house was perfect for gathering around the table for games. With amazing views.

Phenomenal Proximity to Beach

This place had a really phenomenal proximity to beach!. Neighborhood was great. House is great for a family trip. Kitchen is incredibly well stocked, making cooking very easy. The only negative feedback we have is the mattresses. All furniture was old which isn’t really an issue, but the mattresses felt like poor quality old mattresses. That said, one couple was able to very comfortably sleeping on downstairs king bed. Mattress upgrades would make this place unbeatable. Might consider putting a real queen in the Murphy room, though that room is nosy for sleeping if anyone is awake downstairs. (Just something to know when making sleep plans.)

Great view and easy access to beach

Property was accurately listed. Lots of bed space, beautiful open main room. Bed mattresses could do with replacing and poor noise insulation, but for 6 adults this was a great vacation stay.

Great House and Location!

This is a perfect house for our annual family beach trip; there is enough room to accommodate our grown children and their babies, whether we are sleeping, eating, playing board games or watching TV. The location is great since the beach crossover is just a few steps away. The view from the balconies is great as well. We will definitely be back!

Fun in the Moonlight

Private, peaceful location for our family of seven. Perfect timing for the full moon (Sturgeon Moon) that came rising up blood red out of the sea. The film-makers of the group got some fantastic moonlight footage. Waves were very calm (no breakers). House is well-appointed & thoughtfully designed. Loved it! We will be back.

Great ocean view and easy access to the beach

A good layout with great beach access and well supplied kitchen. Great for kids. Good location and a good working AC. The stove had a burner that wasn’t working. TV and WIFI sometimes would suddenly disconnect. We enjoyed our stay as a large family.

Upstairs beds

Up stairs beds were squeaky and one toilet upstairs made high pitch noise. Minor stuff, just a bit annoying for those sleeping upstairs. Beautiful home, I highly recommend.

Picture perfect view!

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is upscale, the house is charming and comfortable. The view of the beach is breathtaking and picturesque. There is nothing detracting from this property except perhaps the distance from shopping and entertainment. However, to be fair all properties on this island are limited in this way. Just expect a 25 minute drive each way for any major shopping and entertainment. There are a few (very few) convenience stores, restaurants and gas stations outside of downtown Galveston so plan accordingly.

Wonderful!!!

We had a great week long stay at this property! House was comfortable and cozy. Location was perfect! Parking in driveway only accommodates 2 1/2 vehicles. All others will need to park in street. There are no closets in the rooms, but there were hooks all over each of the rooms and bathrooms that made up for it. We initially planned on 12 people and ended up with 9. 5 adults and 4 kiddos. We would have been uncomfortable if all 12 had come. Wonderful week and would definitely rent the house again!!

Beautiful views and charming beach house!

We were absolutely so pleased with our choice the minute we walked into this cozy and charming house. We absolutely loved the decor and how well each room was put together. So much space to sit alone and read or gather together at the beautiful wood table set between the kitchen and living area. My husband and daughters felt right at home. I love to cook and I had everything I needed to make breakfast and dinner… pots, pans and cookware were at my reach, including a new blender to make smoothies. The grocery store is also close by if we needed anything our family craved. Bring your beach towels and other things needed to sit comfortably on the beach! Our family will definitely be returning to this quiet perfect getaway beach front home!

the home is lovely but blinds are needed. The living room is so bright in the morning you need sun glasses. the bathroom upstairs has no blinds and the neighbors can see in. the pots and pans are in terrible shape, broken handles and all. Little stingy with the towels.

Nice house with great beach access

Our group of 12 people, including 4 kids, thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It has great beach access and a lovely balcony that we all enjoyed. Three of the bedrooms also have balcony access. We were disappointed to find out that they have a strict no visitor policy as we have family that wanted to visit during the day. They do make you sign a contract. You may consider asking to look over the contract before you book. The portion of the beach directly in front of the house has no vehicle access, which we were happy about. You can park nearby on the beach if needed, though. Overall it was a great location and accommodated our large group well.

Perfection!!!!

oh my goodness, this was the perfect beach house for the perfect family reunion. There were five bedrooms. Four upstairs with so much room and one master downstairs. Great deck only thing that kept us from enjoying it that was the mosquitoes. There were myself and my husband my three kids and their children. We actually took the upstairs that has a Murphy bed, beds need a little bit more comfort on them and it was only a full size but we took one of the other twins and my husband slept on it on the floor lol. This place was so roomy. My heart is so full right now seeing my grandkids and it’s just a short walk to the beach. I wish we could have stayed longer. amazing place to stay. Plenty of pots and pans. Plenty of spices that were left on site. So to sum it up, could’ve had more comfortable beds and Less mosquitoes!!!!

House Review.

Where do I start, issues range from bugs in the house, no balcony lights, weak showers, swarms of mosquitos in the front, a lack of a safe walkway to the beach, and plenty others, this is unacceptable for the premium price paid. The walkway to the beach, was very overgrown and full of bugs with a rattlesnake danger sign. I spent 30 seconds looking for a walkway and received 15 mosquito bites for my curiosity. There are plenty of these little bugs in the house, they look like mini beetles/roaches. The front of the house, is a breeding ground for mosquitos, we have to run into our cars and shut the door to avoid mosquitos flying in, even then, we spend the first 10 minutes of our drive hunting them. The showers felt like someone held a watering can over our heads, there was a restroom door with a faulty lock. The dryer was despicably dirty. There is no light for the balcony. If you like slimy frogs, you may find a few. However, the house was well furnished and towels and sheets were plentiful and very nice. The art work and books add a nice look. The rooms themselves had a nice and comfy feeling to them. We took pictures but the app wouldn’t allow us to upload pictures.

Great view | Great Location | House Not as Advertised

We recently had a large group stay at the property during the July 4th holiday and while we were pleased with the location and views, we were disappointed with the condition of the home when compared to the online photos. Simply put, the home needs attention in many areas. The living room furniture is badly worn and feels dirty to the touch. The beds not good quality and several mattresses have unsightly stains on them. The wooden floors (in some corners) appear to have been eaten away by rodents or are perhaps rotting. Either way, there are gaping holes areas that need to be addressed to prevent pests and rodents from entering from beneath the home. Paneling in some parts of the home is coming apart and the sink has no disposal which made it a mess to cook/dispose of food trash. Furthermore, the house has an overwhelming musty smell throughout that detracts from the comfort of the home. All these things combined caused us to cut our stay short by a day and that was unfortunate. Again, the location and views are really good but the homes is not reflective of the rental rate, IMO. Our group previously owned a home on the same stretch of coast for over 10 years (which we also rented) so i feel like our group can sympathize with the ordinary "wear and tear" of a coastal rental but for the rate this home charges, it will need some TLC before I can raise the overall rating. I hope others find this helpful and I hope this post prompts the owner to address some of these issues.

Photos of the property are deceiving. Not at all what we expected when we arrived at the property. When we rented the property, there was no mention of snakes. Imagine our surprise when we checked in and were told there were snakes in the dunes and to avoid that area. We were told there was a pathway to the beach. NOT EXACTLY. There was a walkover which then dumped you into the dunes on a "path for one." After that, we decided that driving to the beach would be safer -- so we loaded up everyone (12 total) each time we wanted to go. Not at all what we were expecting. The grass in the yard had not been mowed in probably 2-3 weeks and imagine my horror as I watched a rattlesnake that was 4-5 feet long come out from the house area and head for the dunes. NO WAY would I have ever allowed a grandchild out into the yard. The home had beautiful photos on the website but when you walk in, it is very cramped and many of the light switches you had to be very careful when you turned them on because they were so old that you had to turn them "just right" or they wouldn't work. All of the balcony lights were out but it didn't matter because you couldn't go out. The back doors were broken and were not usable because it was necessary to have a very strong person to lift up the door to close it. The mold on the ceiling of the upstairs bathroom was a real bonus. There were rats in the garage so nothing could be stored in there. Any beach chairs, toys or boards you wanted to take to the beach had to be kept inside. There were ants and roaches in the kitchen. When we arrived there was a notice on the refrigerator that no fish could be kept in the refrigerator. One more item that was not mentioned on the website. When I emailed them about the yard being so high and that I had seen a rattlesnake their reply was "Thank you for sharing this information. We are also grateful that your grandchildren are safe, please stay aware of your surroundings when outdoors." Really, don't you think you could have sent someone to mow at that point? Of course the trash cans outside were basically full so we had to push our trash into them. The possibility of renting that house again is absolutely a NO. This was our 5th rental with Gary Greene Vacation Rentals but very doubtful in the future.
