Wonderful Weekend Trip!

We had a great time, even with the storm rolling in. The cabin was such a cute & cozy place. It was rustic with touches of modern throughout. The Primes were so very sweet. They checked on us and made sure we were safe. They took care of everything. They really made us feel at home. I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. Such a fantastic little getaway!

Perfect hosts

Jim and Chris were perfect hosts while we were at the adorable cabin. It was decorated very cozy. While we had some water issues (it was incredibly cold - single digits) Jim and Chris did everything in their power to make sure we had water. It was resolved quickly and really did not interfere in our stay at all. We found everything we needed and them some. A lot of thought and care went into the ammenities at this cabin. The creek and the views were amazing.

Very cozy cabin with wonderful hosts

The wife and I spent 4 nights in this 100 year old cabin. We brought our two dogs for them to enjoy some colder weather, being from Florida we all needed to cool off a bit. We had a wonderful experience. The cabin is old but cozy and has all the comforts needed. Chris and Jim Prime were wonderful hosts, very attentive and hospitable. Christine even made us a very yummy bon voyage breakfast casserole on the day we checked out.The cabin was clean and well stocked. It was perfect for the wife and I and our two crazy pups, they were very happy. There were plenty of heaters to keep us warm as well. The bed was very comfortable and cozy. We arrived with a thoughtful welcome note and a nice bottle of wine...as well as several snacks. The grounds are well kept and maintained. The back deck is awesome, large, clean, right on the beautiful creek behind the house, and has a gate so being able to corral the pups up there, when needed, was nice. They also had plenty of room in the back to run around. The cabin is close to the road but there wasn't much traffic so we never noticed while inside. I would say about one vehicle per hour on average during the day.The area is awesome, plenty of sightseeing and great hiking trails with some beautiful falls and scenery, shopping and some nice dining spots. We spent some time in Cashiers, Sapphire and the Highlands. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and greatly appreciated the wonderful hosts Christine and Jim Prime, highly recommend.

Clean home with attention to detail! Perfect for couple with a dog. Dog could be outside on enclosed deck. Cleanest hot tub ever seen! Very comfortable bed. Perfect stay for hiking waterfalls in the area. Hosts were very helpful and kind!

Slice of heaven!

Potentially the most perfect “relaxing” vibe I’ve ever found on Vrbo! The host has amazing communication and is just SO friendly and kind! The cabin itself is cute, well stocked and in such a lovely location. Close enough to restaurants/grocery stores (about 10 minutes to a killer Mexican restaurant and ingles!) but far enough away that it’s nothing but peace and quiet. The hot tub is the cherry on top! Loved the decor, the snacks set out, as well as the personalized note. :) We will FOR SURE be back soon!

Awesome long holiday weekend stay

We had a wonderful stay in the cabin over the holiday weekend and everything was great! Close enough to Cashiers but far enough away from the summer crowds with a 2 minute drive to the lake. Christine was so responsive and helpful with everything including letting us have a late checkout while we waited for our boat rental at Signal Ridge Marina just 5 minutes away. The hot tub is so nice and clean (as was the entire cabin) and we used it multiple times. Nice relaxing area and saw a lot of wildlife (deer, turkey, rabbits, song birds) as we walked down the road with our dog. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Glenville/Cashiers!

Peaceful and Quiet

This was our first time in NC mountains. This cabin was perfect. View of the mountains and sound of the small creek was nice. It’s on a road but we saw not more than a handul of cars and they waived! The cabin feels historic being over a hundred years old. The bed and bedroom was situated in a way to stay dark making it easy to sleep in. The kitchen had a lot of cool gadgets some antique. We enjoyed steaks on the charcoal grill on the deck by the creek. The hot tub was nice after hiking. The location is within 30 minutes or less of many nice hikes and waterfalls. It would take several trips to enjoy them all. We tried cornucopia restaurant, very nice. Also the steak from the farmers market in cashiers was great, but the BBQ brisket from there was the best we ever had. Mountains, lakes, golf courses, all within a short drive. Christine and Cricket were awesome hosts texting us on several occasions to make sure we had everything we needed. We definitely will be coming back!

Great Week

The historic house is simple but has a great floor plan. Very large bedroom for this size house. We spent hours on the front porch enjoying the view of the field and old barn across the street. And our Lab really enjoyed the creek! Highly recommend.

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

My husband and I (and our two pups) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming, historic cabin. The cabin itself has everything you need for a comfortable getaway. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking meals at home, or you’re less than five minutes from several great dining options. The hosts, Christine and Jim, go above and beyond to ensure your comfort. The hot tub was cleaned daily by the hosts and perfectly positioned under the stars. The property grounds are also incredible. While we didn’t luck into great weather, there are lots of outdoor seating areas, a lovely stream running through the property, and even a waterfall view! Compared to other vacation rentals, I found the bed and bedding significantly more comfortable. It’s the perfect spot for exploring area hikes, lakes, and quaint mountains towns. We cannot wait to return!

Cute Little Cabin

My wife and I escaped to the mountains to relax and enjoy nature. This place fit the bill completely. Great place, great hosts, quiet and relaxing. Cashiers and Highlands and the waterfalls provided more than enough entertainment. Stars completed the adventure. Worth the trip.

Great and convenient location to stay

We loved staying here because of the location, cleanliness, and price. Communication and check in process with the owners were great. We came here to hike the many trails in the area. Perfect Anniversary Getaway

This little cabin is awesome, and the hosts go above and beyond. Host reached out ahead of time to ask about our trip and added a bunch of additional touches to the house to enhance the anniversary vibes! House is perfectly located for forays into Cashiers and Highlands. We also took the scenic byway out to Franklin which also had good food and shopping and stopped along the way at several overlooks and waterfalls. The next day we did the same on the way out to Sylva. Took a couple of hikes based on the host’s recommendations and they were really wonderful. This is a special place. We highly recommend this property and have already started talking about our next trip. Thanks so much to the Prime’s for a wonderful long weekend.

A relaxing time watching the stars

Excellent hosts who respond to your every need. Cabin is clean and has all you could ever want for cooking, linens and blankets. Clean hot tub on patio. Walk over a small bridge on top of a small creek to find a large yard with a fire pit. We found an upscale restaurant named Happs which had great food, live music, an outdoor area and a large fire pit. We enjoyed our 2 days of relaxation and fun!

Wedding Weekend

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Clean and comfortable. Detailed instructions regarding how to turn things on and off. Hot tub was very relaxing after hikes to see the beautiful sites of the area. Would most definitely rent again if we return to area. Host was very accommodating and helpful.

Perfect Cabin in the Mountains

The cabin was a perfect getaway. We were close to shops to have fun in and the little fireplace was perfect for our first chilly night. The hot tub was so clean and nice too to have a nice drink and enjoy our time. The sun in the morning is on the front porch to enjoy your morning and then the sun is on the deck to get some nice sunny rays. We got in late our first night and Christine made sure we had some food and drinks, she even shopped for my partner's favorite drinks! She was wonderful to work with and I'd definitely would go back. One more fun thing, we kept the window in the bathroom open so we could hear the creek! Great place!
