Beautiful Keuka Lake is the most picturesque of New York's pristine Finger Lakes, in the heart of the wine country. It is 20 miles long, boasts about 60 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 186 feet. It has become the top destination in the Finger Lakes Region.
Located within a short walking distance to Keuka Lake State Park (with boat launch and many hiking trails), our charmingly rustic, very clean cottage is situated on a quiet, private road with spectacular views overlooking the northwest branch of the lake. This cottage is perfect for a couple or a small family.
Sit back, unwind and enjoy the gorgeous romantic sunsets on 50 feet of lake frontage next to your crackling beach bonfire. Swim, fish, or take the rowboat out for a leisurely ride. Or simply take in the beautiful scenery from the comfortable patio chairs on the partially covered deck after a relaxing day of wine tasting.
The cottage is 7 miles from Penn Yan, 1 mile from Basin Park Marina (boat rentals, etc.), a very short stroll to Keuka Lake State Park, close to the famous Keuka Lake Wine Trail for tastings and tours, hiking, golfing, gift shops, antiques, many restaurants and much more.

Location, Location, Location

Perfect for 2. This is not a modern showcase. It is a quirky older cabin that is thoroughly cozy and comfortable. Note that it is a little different than most VRBOs we have been in - set up more like a cabin rental - linens are only available for an extra fee and don’t forget your own shampoo/soap. Loved access to kayaks, beach and the incredible view on the deck. Never lacked for anything we needed! Would return in a heartbeat.

Perfect vacation!

I can't say enough about how amazing this property is! The house is clean and comfortable and incredibly welcoming. Everything you could wish for to have a worry-free stay is there. The location is very convenient to various local attractions and the views of the lake are unsurpassed. Whether you're planning on visiting nearby towns and wineries, or kicking back and relaxing on the porch, this cottage has everything you need and more.

Cozy and relaxing

We had a great stay! We felt at home from the sweet welcome note to the cheese and crackers. We played scrabble on the back porch while listening to the lake. The dock and beach are fantastic! We hope to come back again in the warmer months as a family!

Esperanza dream

An absolute standout!

We have rented a lot of places in the Finger Lakes over the years and I have to say this was my absolute favorite. The location on Keuka Lake is absolutely spectacular… You feel as though you are private and in the woods despite being right on the lake- and because you are at the end of the lake, it’s less crowded. The ability to walk directly into Keuka Lake State Park and beyond is such a wonderful bonus. The house is everything you want to cottage to be… Simple, classic, clean, timeless… And with so many spots to enjoy the outdoors, and amenities included, such as deck, hammock, kayaks and dock and chairs and firepit right by the water. It is the perfect sunset spot as well… We sat down there both nights and watched the sun drop right in front of us. The hosts could not have been nicer and answered any questions we had promptly. Truly, it was a spectacular rental!

Views are excellent but accessibility is poor

Property is appealing and the views are excellent. Getting from parking spots to and from the cottage are challenging: multiple steps with no handrails. Difficult to locate cottage in the dark.

Lakeside Cottage

We had a wonderful getaway. It is remote, quiet and has scenic views. Very clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed a day of fishing in Keuka Lake and seeing the waterfalls at Watkins Glen.

Great Cottage and Location

We stayed here near Labor Day 2024. Very nice location and beautiful view of Keuka Lake. Morning Kayak paddles were great. We also have access to the nearby State Park and launched our boat there throughout our stay. Cottage was very comfortable,

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I loved our stay at this charming cottage. It was truly a relaxing getaway. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. We enjoyed swimming in the lake and visiting the local wineries. This was our first stay here and we look forward to staying again.

Wonderful Escape

This property was picture perfect. It was a quaint cottage with everything needed. My husband and I were able to fish, kayak, and enjoy the weather. It was the escape we needed to relax and reconnect! We already booked it for next year!

this cottage had everything we needed and more. the views of the lake were wonderful , taking short trips to nearby towns like PennYan and Hammondsport were great fun , plenty of great places to eat . everyone one we met was extremely nice , and the owners of the cottage were wonderful as well .

Great Lake Views & Comfy Cottage

The cottage was lovely. Plenty of room for 2 people. The bathroom was larger than expected with surfaces to store and set things. The bed was very comfortable. Very clean with great views of the lake and sunsets. However, I specifically chose this rental for the location and access to the water with kayaks. We were notified just before our arrival that the dock was not yet assembled and we'd have to climb around the dock pieces in order to get to the kayaks. This was very disappointing not to mention dangerous for two senior citizens. The steps down to the water were steep and somewhat over grown. The beach area was small, buggy and not desirable, May be better when the dock is in place. We were not compensated for the lack of dock; just told "it couldn't be helped".

This cottage has been in the Hamilton family since the 1960’s. My husband Matt grew up spending his summers here. We wanted to keep it in the family and give our boys the same memories of this place and Keuka Lake. We love it here and hope it becomes your happy place too!
