The house is an older but very well maintained small home. 2 bedrooms, one with bunks. Small but very adquate bath. Large well furnished and supplied kitchen. Large living room. Good location.

Misleading
I paid up to book this property over a condo so that we could have that "right on the river" experience as shown in the photos. While the cabin DOES have access to the river, you must walk down a hill and across the homeowner's property to get there. Once there, it's beautiful and relaxing. Unfortunately I felt misled about the proximity.
Cabin was advertised with air conditioning. There was one window cooler in the secondary bedroom and the cabin was over 90 degrees when we checked in. We had to go to Walmart to purchase a fan just to try and sleep. Host was receptive and did bring over two additional window units which did help considerably.
Cabin was not cleaned well. There was urine around the base of the toilet and the previous tenants bar of soap (with hair!) was left in the shower.
Cabin is located off of a busy highway. You will struggle to get in and out of the driveway safely.

Not as Expected
Unfortunately this property was not as listed. First, this cabin is a guest cabin on the property where the owner lives. Within five minutes of arrival, the owner was at the door to greet us. The backyard is beautiful, but it’s the owners backyard. She invited us to use it, but she watched over us while we did on the first night. It was very uncomfortable and I felt as if our family could not relax there.
The AC in the cabin was through two window units and an evaportive cooler, but was not sufficient for the 95 degree heat while we were there. The main living area furniture was uncomfortable and clunky, and the lighting throughout was lacking. We found the cabin to be very dark. We also felt as if the cleanliness of the property was not up to our expectations.
The owner was a very kind and friendly person, but this property was misrepresented and we were not able to really relax, which was a shame.

Not quite as expected
An odd little cabin, could use some upkeep and modernization. Beds were super comfy, which was appreciated. No hot tub although it was part of my Vbro search criteria; was told they haven’t had one in a year. Furniture in main room is not cozy, just a sleigh bed w old mattress (can feel springs) and funky chair that is oddly tilted/sloped forward. Fireplace is a stove that requires you to open windows, front door, and turn on ceiling fan and a blower that is provided to get proper airflow to get an updraft up the chimney - we couldn’t get the windows to open in the front room so we relied on thermostat which sufficiently heated the cabin except for one bedroom that was always cold. Cleaning prior wasn’t complete: hair in shower, no toilet paper under sink, old coffee & grinds still in pot, and a very old filter in Britta that made water undrinkable (tasted awful) so we drove to Smith’s to get bottled water. Yard was muddy from rain but you could tell that sitting area in lower yard by river would be lovely for summer nights. Owner was very lovely and prompt in communication and apologetic regarding our findings, but I don’t think we’ll be back. Convenient location between downtown & canyon if that’s what you need.
Perfect -- great location on the edge of town and canyon toward ski resorts, on a nice stream. Clean, comfortable lots of character, very functional. Only small note is no hot tub. Great host.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cozy Cabin! Location was great to enjoy Powder Mountain and Snowbasin, also very close to retail, and Downtown/25th St. (where the restaurants are!)
The host, Robyn is terrific and helped us with our questions about the area and dinner and evening plans. (She even helped us with our NYE toast when we found the liquor stores closed on Sunday!)
This was the perfect place for our first trip to Utah to ski, and we will likely plan to come back and stay with Robyn again!
The cabin and property were perfect. The host was fantastic! The river behind the cabin was full of trout. We drove from AZ to get out of the heat, and would comeback to stay at this location again in a heartbeat.
We had a wonderful time and made good memories in Ogden. The cabin was just right and the grounds were beautifully maintained, a great place to relax and recharge, and a great location to access the mountains and the town.
My husband and I stayed here and enjoyed it so much. Spent a lot of time down at the river relaxing and enjoying the view. The cottage was great and had everything we needed. Robyn was a complete delight and her attentiveness was second to none.
We enjoyed our stay at the Cabin in Ogden. It was very clean, had everything we needed. The host were very good to work with and responded quickly with each correspondence.
The house was great! With mostly older kids, it was great to have separate sleeping spots for all four kids with the bunk beds and the trundle beds. The swamp cooler is in one of the bedrooms so it didn't cool the whole house, but there were enough ceiling fans to circulate the air, and we were pretty comfortable even on the hottest days. The property is really nice, and our host was very welcoming and happy to let us wander around the grounds and go down by the river.
We had an amazing stay in Ogden. The cabin was exactly as listed plus extras! The backyard was very pleasant and relaxing. Our hostess was very attentive and hospitable. She made sure we were very comfortable. Hope to return to this cabin.
This little cabin was just perfect for our weekend away. It was very clean, well maintained and Robyn is a wonderful hostess.
We would definitely come back when the weather is a little warmer to enjoy the backyard area.
Robyn and Scott, helped make sure it was a great family vacation. This place was wonderful.
The owners are wonderful, friendly, and made sure we were comfortable.
This home has beautiful land, with all the fun things to do.. Camp fire, fishing, swings, ponds and that cozy feeling.
Just at the mouth of the canyon makes it close to everything. Great place! We had a great time!

Not my cup of tea
I will say that the owner was very gracious and understanding and if there had been anything she (they) could have done to fix the things I had problems with, they would have done so gladly. I was looking to get away to someplace quiet and cool and the property missed the mark. Interior was as cute as the pictures; exterior not so much. That area was experiencing a drought so there may be water restrictions, but yard was not inviting, even though the owners yard next door was lovely. Many of the pictures online are of the owners yard which is available to renters, but not attached to the rental. River is not next to the rental. Access through the owners yard and down a hill. Not an obstacle for the younger and fitter, but a bit of a problem for the older and less fit. Swamp cooler was insufficient for the heat. Cooled the middle of the house okay but master bedroom was too hot. Cross ventilation may have helped but I am squeamish about bugs and there was no window screen on the master bedroom window. Lastly, "cabin" is not isolated. Barely outside city limits on a very busy road. Missed the mark for peace and quiet. As I say, owner was lovely and so was the interior. Just wasn't what I was hoping for on the outside.
The cabin was spacious and extremely clean. The owner was delightful. She was helpful in every sense of the word. I will be happy to rent this property in the future.
