Carolina Cottage-Cozy family friendly cottage in the Outer Banks-no cleaning fee

Our home is located at mile post 14.5 in the Village at Nags Head Linkside community. Enjoy views overlooking the pond and feeding the turtles in the landscaped backyard, as well as the fairway views from the deck of our Soundside beach home located on the 13th tee of the Nags Head Golf course. Our cozy cottage is comfortably furnished with everything your family will need for a memorable stay at the beach. Located on a on quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance of the grocery store, shops and restaurants. It's just a short drive to the golf club (additional fees apply), beach club with pool(in season) south on the beach road less than a mile from the house or the private beach access less than 1/2 mile from the house north on the beach road with bath house (passes included in rental). Walk to the sound side park on the water to launch kayaks and canoes or just to view the sunsets. Great neighborhood for biking(bring your own or they can be rented from local vendors)or just enjoy taking a walk.

Community pool near by is available in season May-September.
Available for short stays(2+ nights) after Labor Day and before Memorial Day Weekends. Contact owner for off season monthly winter rates. No additional cleaning fees.

Great stay in a lovely home

We were delighted by our first impressions of Carolina Cottage and our subsequent stay. Welcoming, fresh, comfortable and great presentation with wide balconies overlooking a small lake with wildlife. Everything was to high standards. We had all we needed. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean and well lit. Thank you from all of us!

Wonderful two weeks

This place is lovely and quiet. We are not your usual golf and beach people but we still found plenty to do. The Wright Bros monument in Kitty Hawk was particularly memorable. Being birdwatchers we loved the reserves and particularly Nags Head Woods and Jockey Ridge. Saw a Pileated woodpecker which for us was a real highlight. Sadly my wife took a tumble and broke her arm but this did not intrude too much on our enjoyment and Jeanne the host was really good to us throughout the stay. If we ever were out this way again this would definitely be the place to stay

Perfect Stay

We spent a perfect 4 nights at this adorable cozy cottage. Small but fully equipped kitchen, perfect for our family of 6. We loved the pond behind the house and watching the turtles. The house was clean and we also enjoyed the board games. Host was always quick to respond when we had to contact her. We would stay again.

Great property! Centrally located

The property was in great condition, very clean and has a nice homely feeling! Our kids ended up sleeping in the same room so we did not use all the bedrooms but they were all really cozy. All the equipment worked great. We made good use of the beach gear that is available when renting the property.Instructions were clear and the check in and check out process seamless! The house is ideally located to visit the Outer Banks and there are lots of restaurants and grocery shops just minutes away. On top of the property itself, Jeanne, our host, was very responsive before and during our stay and provided great tips on things to do. We highly recommend the Beach House and hope to come back soon ourselves!

Another Great Stay

This is our second stay in as many months and coming back to the cottage almost feel like a second home now. The house is clean, stocked with all the basic suppliers. Planning for a wedding can be stressful. But knowing that we have a great little cottage in Nags Head for our base camp makes these trips almost fun.Great location close to all the event sites we need to visit and very comfortable furniture to help unwind at the end of the day.

Comfortable and attractive

This 3-bedroom beach house met our every need. My daughter used the pack and play and the booster seat. We loved the comfortable sofa and chairs. We were in Nags Head for a wedding. The location was great for wedding events— close to Jennette’s Pier, and the Pavilion at Pirate’s Cove. And we all loved the view of the large pond and the turtles!

We first came to the Outer Banks on the recommendation of a co-worker in 1989. We fell in love with the area! We visited at every opportunity and finally bought Carolina Cottage in 2004.

Why they chose this property

We love the Village at Nags Head because of the pool that is right on the ocean. We also love the quiet walkable neighborhood. We love the pond in the backyard and the wildlife it attracts. Very private but yet close to shops and restaurants.

What makes this property unique

We believe everyone should have a stress free affordable stay at the beach. A place where you can rest, relax and unwind. We don’t over charge and we try to keep our fees to a minimum. Any profits we make are put back into the cottage to keep it clean, updated and comfortable for our guests.
