This newly renovated Log Cabin sits 15 feet from the crystal clear waters of Howard Pond in Hanover Maine. The soft grass lawn leads to a sandy water entrance. Amazing westerly views to watch the sun disappear over the Mahoosuc Mountains. All the comforts of home, sun all day, beautiful sunsets, western exposure, and clean water for swimming will make you want to stay all summer. The pond has Salmon and Brook Trout if you like to fish. All you need to have a perfect vacation, is to be here!! If you like quiet, this is for you.
Open concept downstairs, two bedrooms upstairs. There is a dishwasher and washer/dryer to make your life easy.
Hike, bike, canoe, fish, kayak, golf or just relax with a book and a cocktail. Enjoy beautiful scenic drives through the western mountains of Maine. If your lucky, you may spot a moose. Hiking on the Application Trail is a short drive away. Golf at two 18 hole courses close by (Sunday River and Bethel Inn)

Picture perfect

We had a great stay. Cabin was as described and comfortable. Location was perfect for us situated between the 2 ski mountains we wanted to hit. The view of the lake was beautiful. We would stay again.

Cozy cabin, gorgeous location, super responsive owners

We’ve been to a lot of rentals over the years, and this is definitely one of the best. It’s the perfect size for a family of four and the location is fantastic! The house had the amenities we needed, was very clean, and was super cozy. We went in the winter: superb winter sports options nearby and even some right out your door. We had an issue on the first day that the owners went above and beyond to resolve in a timely manner. Can’t wait to return!

Fabulous Property

I booked this property for my son/wife/grandchildren as a Christmas present. I actually went to this property and LOVED it! It was spotless, had everything that was needed for the week. I would rent again here.

Great rental house

We had a great time at this home on Howard Pond! The house looks like the pictures online and it is set up great for a rental (lots of storage, hooks to hang things, pots/pans in good condition). Our family loved spending time on the pond. The owners were able to arrange two additional kayaks for an extra fee, which was easy and convenient. You could spend all your time here or find adventures nearby (hiking, horseback riding, mini-golf, etc.)

Lake paradise

This is a beautiful clean lake in the mountains. The cabin is 20 steps to the lake.and the views of sunsets are outstanding. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. A sweet, quiet, friendly lake experience.

Great place

We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed. It is secluded but not too far from anything you may desire. We cooked a few meals in and went out to local restaurants too. Owners were great and very responsive.

Perfect, Relaxing Week!

Everything exceeded expectations! The views of the mountains across the lake and Fall foliage were breathtaking. The cabin was immaculate, cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed a campfire by the water every evening, toasting marshmallows, making s’more and taking in the beautiful sunsets. Our hosts, Tracey and Paul, were great! They made sure we had everything we needed and also made suggestions for local places to visit. We look forward to returning in the future. Thank you, Rick and Karen

Wonderful little cabin on a very nice little lake. Great swimming spot for the kid right off the grass/dock, out to the island of rocks. Would love to do it all again.

Pretty property location

Although the location is lovely, the second bedroom twin beds are thin, worn, and need replacing. This put a damper on my time at this location as preapproved family was not able to stay. On a positive note, the property location is very pretty. The Maine Gem Museum in Bethel is very much worth a visit.

Peaceful family getaway

We had an amazing time during our stay my son absolutely loved being by the water he couldn't stay out of it, it was very relaxing and nice to get away from our daily lives. Had to cut the trip short due to a family emergency back home but will hopefully return soon. Highly recommend to friends! Fingers crossed next time we spot a moose! Thanks for the great suggestions

Beautiful location!!

We stayed at the cabin in October and the view is incredible! It is right on the pond so easy access to kayaking/boating. Short ride to hiking trails for any age/level, with gorgeous views! Cabin is beautiful and very clean, and I am really picky about cleanliness! Tracy and Paul are great hosts and quickly respond to any questions. Would gladly stay there again!
