The Sugar Lake area is exquisite in all that it offers: lake recreation, fishing, a sunken island, sand bars, Bike/ATV/hunting/ski/snowmobile trails and an 18-hole golf course with a restaurant which overlooks the lake.

Wife and I were in the area for a family gathering and we stayed for 3 nights here. A television and working coffee machine would've made the stay more enjoyable but it was otherwise a quiet little cabin on a nice lake as advertised.

Perfect peaceful vacation for a couple!

We were very happy with our overall experience and would stay again! We loved best of all the water. It was just beautiful! It was simple and just what we wanted. We felt like we could really relax and take in the nature. And it was a beautiful short 15min drive to Grand Rapids.

Great place to stay

I really recommend staying here. The cabin has everything you need. The host responds to every question you have. The best part about this place is the lake. One of the coolest lakes in Minnesota. Highly recommend to stay here.

❤️ Sugar Sanctuary

Cute little cozy cabin on a beautiful lake. We stayed here for our 5th year wedding anniversary and had a wonderful & relaxing time. Owners were easy to communicate with & the cabin, though small, had everything we needed and more. We would would definitely consider staying here again

Wonderful Stay

We enjoyed our stay so much at sugar lake sanctuary!! This cabin was perfect for my husband and I. Super clean and had all the amenities we needed. Brad was super quick to respond and easy to work with. We WILL be back in the future!

Lovely little get-away

Perfect location and yard, pristine lake, and adorable little cabin. Nice quiet 4th of July weekend stay. Weather is mild enough that we didn't even need the AC, but appreciated and used the fans provided. We were able to park our own pontoon on the dock, which was a bonus too.

Peaceful, private, serene

Excellent host with good communication regarding check-in. We were very comfortable. The cabin is clean and gave us the respite we needed. Listening to the loons was a highlight. Sugar Lake is beautiful! It is close to Sugarbrooke Golf Course, which is very convenient.

Sacred Sugar Sanctuary

We were very impressed with the cabin and it's amenities. Although small, it was big on quality workmanship and perfect for the two of us! Good size bathroom with nice fixtures, shower and well equipped with necessities. We also rented the pontoon which we really enjoyed cruising around and fishing on the beautifully clear Sugar Lake. We will definitely keep this on our list for return trips!

Loved it!

Perfect little cottage to just relax. Loved having our coffee infront of the beautiful lake every morning and bonfires under the stars every night. The weather was perfect all the days we were there. Was a wonderful experience!

Gem on Sugar Lake!!

It's just a great location on the lake. Really nice yard and dock. Cabin is clean and neat. Sunsets are spectacular. We went kayaking and rented the pontoon which we really enjoyed. It's quiet and peaceful and quite private. We loved it!!

Sweet Sugar Stay

The cabin was clean and cozy with all the amenities one should need. The hosts were friendly and timely with response. We enjoyed gazing out on the clear blue lake and had many sunset fires. We used the pontoon to tour the lake and also did sone fishing. After staying here my husband and I feel relaxed and re-energized.

Return to Grand Rapids for a few days for class reunion.

Very nice view of the lake, we didn't utilize the water since it was cooling down with the shorter daylight hours. We enjoyed our location, check-in was easy and the unit was as listed large enough for two. We definitely would return in the future. The owner was always prompt in getting back in touch when I had questions about the property, etc. which I really appreciated since we traveled quite a ways to get there and didn't know exactly how our travel plans would unfold.

Honeymoon Stay!

This was the perfect lake cabin to stay in after our wedding! The lake is absolutely gorgeous and the pontoon was a blast. The cabin was perfect. Very clean and comfortable bed. We loved our stay!

Cozy cabin on a beautiful lake

Cute little cabin with a beautiful view of the aqua waters of Sugar Lake. Very quiet and restful. There is a nice fire pit to enjoy the evenings and the sounds of the loons. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Peaceful getaway

Everything was provided as advertised. We rented the pontoon and it too, ran well, easy use. Our fishing guide, a loon, stayed with us till we had enough perch for a meal. Lovely getaway for two and beautiful sunsets. .
