If you are looking for a standardized, franchised, typical vacation setting, this is not for you. If you are looking for a gated community with chemically treated barren yards devoid of trees, this is not for you. But if you would like to rediscover the best of Old-Florida living, our vacation bungalow is just the kind of place you are looking for!

Our non-smoking home features two comfortable bedrooms with separate living and dining areas. Casual and colorful furnishings lend a peaceful air to this quiet getaway. The charming nostalgic kitchen boasts the original retro-style cabinetry and vintage Formica countertops, still in fine condition. We have also updated this fully stocked kitchen with modern appliances for the best of old and new. The dining area is connected by sliding glass doors to a covered patio area where you can relax and enjoy the comfortable, natural Florida setting. There's a Weber gas grill for your use. A separate utility room of the patio includes a washer and dryer.

The primary bedroom has a king bed, period Broyhill Brasilia furniture suite, HUGE closet, HDTV and ceiling fan. The guest room has two Heywood-Wakefield twin beds, dresser, closet, and ceiling fan.

We provide a couple of beach chairs and beach towels for your carefree vacation.

With the Indian River, Intracoastal Waterway, and Atlantic Ocean only minutes away, you will never run out of things to do here. But if you should tire of the peace and quiet, the attractions of Orlando are just an hour and a half away. Or tour the facilities of NASA's Cape Canaveral, an hour to the north. If you’re lucky enough to be here at the time of a space launch, watch the northeastern skies at launch time for a special treat.

Quiet retreat

It was fun staying in this place as the retro furnishings were similar to what I had as a child. The quiet, comfortable space was a nice place to decompress after a busy day with family.

Glenn was very hospitable and had excellent communication skills. The two bedroom bungalow was perfect for my wife and I. The pictures don’t do this place justice. It was clean, colorful, and felt like home away from home. We will definitely be staying here again.

an excellent retro bungalow in a good location

We very much enjoyed the style of the bungalow and had a lot of fun looking at the decorations, reading through the books, and just enjoying the property. The house was an excellent jumping-off place for exploring the area. There are MANY things to do here if you are interested in the out-of-doors (which we are!).

Great Retro Bungalow

Comfortable and well appointed

We came from cold WI to get a few days of warmth and sunshine. The weather cooperated and our stay was great! The bungalow was perfect for the 2 of us. We LOVE pelicans and appreciated all of the pelican reminers throughout the house. Glenn met us as soon as we arrived and was very thorough explaining everything. We hope to come back again next year and stay longer!

Beach and baseball

Check was very easy! Upon early arrival he even let us check in early. Property was very clean. House was built in the 50's. Had everything you will need, including a weber grill:) It is convienantly located between Sebastian and Vero Beach. And only a couple minute drive to the beach. Will definitely stay there again.

Hidden Retro Gem

Definitely a retro retreat! The house has been decorated with carefully chosen retro furniture, pictures and more. Took me back to the days of growing up in the 60’s and 70’s. A relaxing place that is well taken care of and located in a perfect spot where it’s easy to get to the beach and Sebastian Inlet which we loved. Owners are very attentive to details and safety.

Spring getaway

I love this retro house. It has great karma. We spend most of our time out playing and then enjoy the porch and the well equipped kitchen and dinners at home. We even had a party for 8 of our friends! Great place.

Great Launching Point For Enjoying The Area

Glenn's property had a great old Florida feel with all the modern amenities! He made check in/out a breeze and was well stocked with all the odds and ends that we needed on our trip. The location is great because you're only a couple minutes from the beaches and Publix/Walgreens for whatever else you may need.

Just what we needed

Friends and I needed a place to sleep after a night out in vero beach, so it was perfect for that. The place itself is a pleasant little retro home with all the modern comforts, so it would be a great home base for a weekend family getaway or with a few friends. Glenn is awesome, very friendly and communicative and though we didn’t need anything he made himself available so that was nice. Oh and how could I forget the delicious welcome treats! Definitely looking into this place again if I find myself in the area.

The INTERIOR of the bungalow was very clean and well equipped. The grounds surrounding were a mess.

We were disappointed in the area. We were near a beach but were told by our host not to use this beach - parking would be difficult and this paricular beach had a tendency to get crowded. Our bungalow was not in a pleasant neighborhood, as there were two abandoned houses very close by. As stated above, the bungalow was immaculate but the grounds were a mess. The furniture on the outside porch was not in good shape, with one chair literally falling apart and moldy. Having the laundry room on the outside (off the porch) was ok, but laundry rooms tend to get hot very quickly and outside temps caused it to get even hotter. The site listed that beach chairs were available, however we ended up buying one as only one was actually usable. We had a pleasant visit and there was much to do, but cerainly not within walking distance. With all that being said, we would not rent this bungalow again, even though we were most appreciative of the cleanliness of it and the graciousness of our host.

Twin Sisters' 40th Bday Getaway

Glenn was great and the 50s vibe was awesome! The historic preservation of the home was outstanding and we had everything we needed to feel cozy and cook full meals. The proximity to the beach was great and we zoomed over there twice a day. Fun to be in between 2 cities and near 2 water sources as well. Sharpened knives, tupperware containers, cleaner windowsills (bugs), and more comfortable outdoor seating would have made this a 5 star review. Even with these little things, we are already planning another trip to the Beach Bungalow! Loved it!

Beach bungalow birthday getaway

This place had great karma. It was decorated to the nines in mid century. Even the dinnerware and silverware were vintage. The property was 3 miles from out favorite beach. We spent most of our time on the porch, enjoying warm April breezes. The home was Roo y and comfortable. We even had a small dinner party with my mom and friends. All agreed, this place was a gem. We will return.

Cool little house 50's style

Excellent condition with a very well stocked and fully functional kitchen. Bed was excellent. We really enjoyed our 2 day stay. One small drawback is the noise from a through train several times a day, not a huge deal.
