Wow! The view of this place was over beyond spectacular. I couldn't have asked for a better remote location just for the experience in Jamaica. If you are looking for a remote location and Safe this is the location and place to book no doubt with the most beautiful not normal views.
We loved our stay at Strawberry Field Forever. Kim and her staff could not do enough for us with wonderful suggestions and always on hand to help. Sunrise Magic is a lovely cottage with spectacular views of the sea. The little private beach is a wonderful place to have a dip in the oh so blue Caribbean. We hope to return on day to this little piece of Jamaican magic. Thank you Kim
We left Negril after staying at an all inclusive resort, in hopes of having an authentic Jamaican experience. As we drove onto the property we couldn’t believe the beauty that was before us. The pictures on the website did not do it justice. We were shown to our house... the Sunrise which had the most amazing view. Before 10 and after 5 it was pretty much just us on the property. It was so peaceful listening to the waves at night and swimming in the private Bay first thing in the morning. Jen in the restaurant cooked us amazing food. Kim was extremely accommodating and set us up on a boat excursion to the black sand beach where we ate a traditional lunch cooked over fire of fish and yams and plantains.
What a dreamy place to end our stay in Jamaica!
Awful experience at this property. There were rodents, roaches and spiders. I found rat dropping all over the kitchen counter tops, cabinets and drawers. I had to disinfect the kitchen myself and wash all the utensils used prior to using them, overtime they were used. Even though looked cleaned, I was afraid that some rodent had crawled all over it . My girls and I were so uncomfortable, having to fight off insects like roaches and ants from getting into our belongings. So we were unable to unpack. I informed the staff immediately of the uncleanliness of the property. They did come and clean for the most part but failed to pull out the drawers and left rodent droppings with the forks spoons and knifes, absolutely disgusting. Unfortunately we had a terrible time on the property itself. It was not a private beach and there were so many people being allowed around the house we felt our privacy kept being violated everyday. There were bags of trash left all over the premises, in the grounds play area all over the beach plus no daily trash service for our room. No wonder they have a rodent issue. The road side tiny restaurant had better food then at the Strawberry Fields restaurant. The food served at the property is awful, cold, hard, no flavor and no variety. The staff was hardly available, no communication. After loosing nights of sleep due to the conditions my daughters and I were so sick of staying there that we decided to leave early and were forced to find somewhere else to stay for the remainder of our vacation in Jamaica. The listing on the VRBO app was completely misleading this place was awful, does not even deserve one star. Its a shame because, it has potential due to the location just not managed well at all. Two big thumbs down, I do Not reccomend. wish I could get my money bag. at least for the nights we did not stay there.
Incredible location with really friendly and unique employees and cool history.
Kim contacted me right after booking and we had a nice conversation and she even helped me on project I was working on. The location itself is otherworldly. You can find great pics but they don't do it justice. The vibe and sheer natural force of this property is an experience you will not forget
The employees were all helpful and nice, the villa seemed like it had been polished before arrival, the beach was exactly as the photos show, and the meals were hot and fresh.
If you go in expecting a resort experience you will be disappointed, but if you go in expecting what this actually is - basically a collection of places functioning as a BnB in the middle of nowhere, you’ll be satisfied.
Internet was mostly good enough for streaming, the beach is open to any locals who pay the daily fee, and the restaurant was under construction when we went… making meal variety very poor.
Overall, it’s a very solid choice for the price and they will pick you up from the airport which is about a $400 value, round trip.
Can't beat the location of the cabin on the water! Super nice staff! The road in is quite rough. Make sure to stop for groceries and necessities on your way in, as those unfamiliar with the island may find navigating to a store/market/restaurant a bit daunting. Meals at the restaurant are very good, just know that options are minimal and hours are limited (we stayed during the week, so that might vary on the weekends). It is a beautiful, relaxing, secluded spot, which is exactly what we were looking for.

This is an absolutely fantastic property! There really isn't enough space to do justice to a review of thos property. For full details, videos and pictures I encourage you to check out my blog, www.reclaimingmyspirit.com.
we had five different stays while we visited Jamaica and they were all good in different ways but Strawberry Fields Forever was our favorite. It was so relaxing. It was the most natural.....

The Perfect Caribbean getaway!
This little piece of paradise is the most perfect place to relax and re-charge.
the villas are spacious and very comfortable, Kim and her staff are very attentive, friendly and welcoming and the whole place is surrounded with great atmosphere.
we stayed in the Sun Rise Magic Villa which really lived up to its name! every morning we'd wake up to the most gorgeous sunrises we could view directly from our bed or from the beautiful veranda. The food in the restaurant is very good and varied.
We highly recommend the boat ride to the water fall - it was a true joy!
We'll defiantly return to this place on our next visit to Jamaica.

Kim & Everett are the greatest hosts!
I stayed here in this villa in April of 2014 and it was the most magical experience of my life. The listing fails to mention the amazing onsite chef, who cooks with all fresh ingredients, fish caught that very morning. Then there's the excursions: an ATV tour with Everett into the jungle, with waterfall hiking and swimming!
Strawberry Fields Together is an amazing destination for travelers and locals alike, with a party atmosphere and plenty of fun for kids. I couldn't recommend this place more!!

About the host
Hosted by Kim Chase
American X-Pat Kim Chase newly married a very young age of 19, wanted to get out of the Pittsburgh cold, asked a travel agent where in the Caribbean or Mexico they could camp. The only campground that was mentioned, was Strawberry Fields on the little island of Jamaica.
They moved to Jamaica where she purchased the same campground at age 28. She raised her kids here, they married local Jamaicans and now have moved back to the states. The resort has reached over 33 years of ownership by the same ‘local’ owner Kim Chase with her Jamaican Staff, (2012 regional NCB Women in Business Winner); Strawberry Fields Together! (as it is now known) is a testimony to her belief of how to enjoy a holiday without any forced ‘tourist’ traps. The resort epitomizes the very essence of what Jamaica has to offer locals and the global tourist market. We have totally renovated and revived this little piece of Paradise and invite you to experience it with us!
Why they chose this property
Who would have ever thought that we would fall in love with it, buy it and I ended up spending most of my life here! This Paradise has all the natural elements of what a true getaway must be.
