Cute, cozy cottage

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Location was convenient to tour around down town. Accommodations were extremely clean and comfy. Perfect size for our one night stay! Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable stay

My mom and I came in for a night for wine sipping and night out. The property was very comfortable, clean and relaxing. Complimentary snacks and bath products were a lovely touch! Communication was prompt and owner was very helpful. The location is on a busier street however there is a nice privacy fence that helps with road noise.

Super cozy! very secluded, right on the road so occasional cars but not too obtrusive. very clean and well kept, all the amenities were both as advertised and wonderful. Definitely would stay here again. Thank you so much!

Great host, great bungalow!

Property was just as expected. Listing accurate, host excellent and tub was divine. We wanted to take the bed home it was so comfortable! Will definitely stay again.

So thoughtful!

I mentioned that it was our anniversary and our host had a hand written card, balloons and little treats with a bottle of wine. So thoughtful! The room was immaculate, beautiful bed, little table and the kitchenette was perfect for my morning cup of coffee. Bathroom has a nice amount of space as well. It’s about a mile off Main Street. Very easy access to shopping and restaurants. Definitely recommend!

Cute little property with nicely appointed amenities. The private drive was perfect for us as we were in town for a car show. There was plenty of room to unload the trailer.

Tiny place with everything you need.

The wife and I just needed a place to stay for a wedding. Didn’t spend much time in the place, but it was very clean and had nice amenities. The host was very accommodating and had great communication. I wished there was a fan, either a ceiling fan, box fan, or even a small fan to set on the nightstand. But everything else was so good that I couldn’t rate anything other than 5 stars.

Comfortable and close to downtown

My wife and I stayed here for our five year anniversary. You will enjoy the easy access this property provides to downtown Fredericksburg. Also, the room was clean, comfortable, and packed with complimentary snacks. Communication with the owners about the one amenity issue we had was excellent.

Girls trip

The property was charming, provided all we needed & more with all the extra touches. I’ve not used VRBO before & I was very excited by my first time experience with this property. It was perfect. I think my only suggestion would be to have a cute bistro table & chairs outside. I highly recommend!

The Bird Haus was very neat, with plenty of space for two adults - we even fit a pack & play with our 8-month old with us, though that made it a teeny bit tight. It’s about a 5-minute drive to Main Street, and out of the hustle and bustle of downtown. It is right next to a busy road, but very well insulated against any noise. We enjoyed our stay!

Amazing Re-Living of Engagement Anniversary

The Bird Haus is a cute and welcoming space. We got engaged here 10 years ago and was so lucky to find it again to stay here. It is so comfortable, has everything you need, and is a very thought out space. Our host was so thoughtful and provided us a bottle of champagne, a beautiful decoration, and a hand-written card to add a special touch to our weekend. We are so thankful for our stay and hope to be back to celebrate another big celebration here.

Perfect spot for a couple’s getaway

My wife and I loved getting to stay in The BirdHaus! Great location to get to Main Street quickly and enjoy Fredericksburg but also far enough away that if you wanted to tuck in early there’s minimal noise! Felt very clean and the host was very helpful and responsive!

In the heart of Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg is a small city with a unique German flavor in its quaint bakeries, Hauptstrasse (Main Street) boutiques and generations-old peach orchards. Weekenders from nearby San Antonio and Austin have long appreciated the charm of the city and we are located near all of the city's activities. The surrounding Texas Hill Country is home to lush vineyards, making up one of the country's largest viticultural areas. In addition to the plentiful agriculture, Fredericksburg is the home of The Enchanted Rock State Natural Area which boasts the largest pink granite monadnock in the United States. After a long day of shopping, wine tasting, or hiking guests enjoy the many local live music scenes the town has to offer.
