Beautiful new camp with a view of a 30 tree apple orchard. 8 minute walk to Paradox Lake private beach and a 5 minute drive to the town of Schroon Lake. Central heat and air conditioning for your comfort. Come and enjoy the fresh smell of knotty pine throughout this spacious camp with vaulted ceilings, modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gas range, soap-stone countertops (natural to this area), Smart TV with high speed internet service, washer and dryer, etc... There is an RV hookup 50amp outlet with a water supply as well. There is a screened enclosed gazebo, horseshoe pit, and gas grill. Small dogs allowed and must provide $100 pet fee. NO SMOKING please. Linens are supplied.

Perfect Lake Getaway

Beautiful rustic home with just the right amount of "cabin" but plenty of modern! We had everything we needed in the home and kitchen. Really loved the outdoor spaces and proximity to lake and hiking.

Lovely mountain getaway!

House near Paradox Lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Severance. Charlie and Judy were wonderful hosts and the house was well stocked with towels, toiletries, and dishes. We cooked in several nights and had all the necessities. The location was perfect and having access to the private beach was an added perk. We took our kayaks out several times and didn’t have to fight off any crowds. We’ll definitely be back!!

A great place!

We have 5 kids ranging in age from 7-21. The 7 of us had a great stay! Very clean and new. Plenty of space for our family. The one very minor issue (that didn’t even need to be taken care of while we were there), was handled quickly by the hosts. The beach is great and a short walk down a quiet road from the house. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect stay

The property is clean & has all needed amenities, very comfortable for our party of 6. Questions/item to address were handled promptly, Judy responded very quickly to each. Plenty of relaxation options: deck, screened gazebo & forgot area. The location is great, very serene, but close enough to town that has groceries, fuel, etc, with interstate nearby. Perfect for our motorcycle trip!

Incredible place!

Our family just had a marvelous week at The Carriage House. The house itself was clean and comfortable. The location, the lake, the woods, the fresh air was exactly what we all needed. Judy was a wonderful host and we can't wait to come back. Highly recommend!

Quiet cabin in the woods

Nice place. Clearly recently constructed so everything is in new condition. Kitchen is pretty well stocked with everything needed to cook with, just need to provide the food. Woodsy place with no neighbor noise and very little road traffic, just the sound of a stream in the back yard. Nice big driveway to park in, and within 10 minutes of town with a gas station, grocery store, and a handful of restaurants. Convenient to I-87 and art. 9 to head north or south. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful Adirondack Getaway

My husband and I had such a wonderful stay and absolutely loved the place. It was spotlessly clean and so charming and peaceful. It's modern and well constructed but also so cozy and rustic-feeling at the same time--the owners have pulled that combo off beautifully. The location is terrific and the beach/lake just down the road (very easy walk) that we could use was just perfect: amazing views; cool, clear, calm water; and very clean. We very much appreciated all the thoughtful touches and amenities that made us feel comfortable and at home. The owners really take care of all the little details and that shines through the house. They are very responsive and quickly got back to us with any questions we had. We definitely would love to come back for future stays in the area--it's a true gem!

Exactly what we needed

We've not had a proper family vacation in a few years, so we had high hopes for our stay. Those hopes were met. This property is just lovely, inside and out. It's situated in a wonderful, quiet bit of nature, with a small orchard, fire pit and enclosed gazebo just outside. Inside, it's homey and warm, with up-to-date amenities you might not expect in a such a pastoral setting. The owner is friendly, helpful, and responsive. All-in-all, we had a wonderful stay and are looking forward to booking our next vacation here again.

Lake Paradise

We ranged from ages 4-67 and all enjoyed our lake vacation. Judy and Charlie’s home was even better then we expected. The location was perfect with a short walk to a private beach and a town and restaurants near by. End your great day by the awesome fire pit next to the delicious smelling apple tress. We have rented many homes from VRBO and this is one of the best.

Pristine and comfortable.

This place is fantastic. It is well equipped, super clean and an excellent location. There is access to the association beach which is lovely, a fantastic deck and detached screen house with electric. My husband set up his work computer here and worked from it each day. 5 minutes to the Village of Schroon. I highly recommend.

Nice property

Not much curb appeal but very nice inside. Association beach is nice, with restrooms and lifeguard 5 days a week. No dishwasher but kitchen is otherwise well equipped. Huge fridge and good washer dryer.

Hidden Gem

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this carriage house. We were two couples traveling on motorcycles to this beautiful area of New York. The accommodations were clean, spacious with well appointed decor. The beds were comfortable as well as the seating area. Overall, a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend!

This space is nicely appointed, above average, sparkling clean, with complete kitchen, and super close to a lovely, private lake where we launched our Adirondack guide boat. There is an upstairs, outdoor terrace and many amenities right outside the door. Highly recommend.

Great Location

We have vacationed in the Schroon Lake area for many years. This carriage house worked out perfectly for our needs. The mosquitoes were very active which limited our outdoor activities.
