Lantlig två våningar 1850-tals bondgårdslägenhet i anslutning till en tidigare lobstermans verkstad. Bred planka (några knepiga) golv i hela, smal brant trappa, perfekt för dem som söker äkta Maine ö-charm. Gammaldags segelflygplan utifrån rhododendron och rosbuske får morgonsolens exponering. Så tyst med ljudet av raslande löv och måsar. En TempurPedic dubbelsäng och två bekväma enkelsängar i separat rum. Lägenheten ligger i ett fantastiskt bostadsläge nära Historical Society uppe på kullen för enkel promenad till Main Street restauranger, butiker och färja. Nära vatten, men inte på vatten, med begränsad Carvers Cove utsikt från övervåningen sovrum. Bra område för promenader, fantastisk utsikt över hamnen från närliggande Blueberry Lane utsikt. Gå till hisnande Lane's Island Preserve eller hyra cyklar och kajaker i stan. Detta är inte ett bra val för människor som förväntar sig en modern "snygg" plats. Det finns inte eluttag och strömbrytare på varje vägg i varje rum till exempel, men det finns gott om lampor, böcker, spel och köket är välfylldt inklusive hummerpotten, kaffebryggare och brödrost. Ägarna kan vara i det anslutna huset medan du är här men är ett lugnt par och det finns ingen öppen åtkomst mellan utrymmen. Du har din egen entré. Vi erbjuder sängkläder och handdukar. Inga husdjur, snälla. Det finns wi-fi, bäst mottagning på första våningen, men ingen fasttelefon eller TV. AT&T har celltorn på ön och är det bästa valet för celltjänst. Maximal beläggning är två vuxna. Kommer också att betrakta ett spädbarn eller ett litet barn med föräldrar. Obs: priset som visas och minst två nätter är för sommaren. Perfect

This place was adorable! We were looking for something cozy and close to the village and ferry, and it was exactly that! Caleb responded to every question I had for him within minutes and was very helpful with giving us tips about the Island. It was a lovely weekend and would love to come back for another visit!

Perfect

I'm a journalist with Public Radio. Needed a secure easy location close to the harbor for myself and my assistant. The house was perfect as was the location! Town has great restaurants, all walking distance. Neighborhood was very quiet and safe. We had a lot of gear, never worried about it at all. Caleb was a grand host, I will stay here again if the opportunity presents.

VRBO Host deserves award

This property was exactly as described and perfect for someone looking for an authentic island experience. And Caleb went above and beyond. His tips were much appreciated on the timing on side trips to get the best experience of sunrise and sunset were perfect about swimming at the quarry. But we will never forget his help with the ferry line pass with an impending hurricane. Thank you Caleb. You are an amazing host.

Great cozy and rustic apartment close to everything. Nice ticking trails on the island. Caleb was very helpful throughout our stay. Plenty of books available and kitchen fully equipped.

convenient and comfortable stay on a magical Island

The house is a sweet two bedroom house attached to the house of the owners. It is comfortable and quiet. Caleb was extremely helpful in getting in negotiating the travel which was tricky as the larger ferry is out of service.

We enjoyed spending our 3rd time in Vinalhaven at this great home. Caleb was lovely and we enjoyed our peace and quiet. No TV, no noisy neighbors. Perfect get away 🤗

Very Sweet and perfect for what we needed.

My boyfriend and I stayed here while visiting Vinalhaven, where I grew up. It was a perfect place to have as a rejuvenating landing place while spending time with friends and family. It was, however, a bit tricky to make plans and reach others due to no phone. We mostly had to rely on the internet and just going to see if our friends and family were home in order to make plans. The simple charm matched that of the island, no need for many bells and whistles. We met Caleb and Anne, his wife while stepping out one morning and they were very kind and instantly easy to like. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful Place to enjoy VH Island

This apartment was a perfect way to enjoy VH island. A nice short walk to town and a very comfortable place from which to enjoy a relaxing week away from the busy of life. The hosts were very helpful, and when we notified them of a leak because of heavy rain they promptly helped us clean it up and resolved the issue! We would recommend a stay here! Thanks!

Affordable and good location

Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved Vinalhaven! The house is older and not fancy but worked fine for my husband and I- it was affordable and close to town/restaurants and the grocery store but a quiet neighborhood. The kitchen could use a medium size pot but we were happy there was a huge pot for cooking lobster and 2 crackers. The steps to upstairs are steep so maybe not good for older people or kids. There are many hiking trails on the island and we were happy we had a car so we could explore beyond town. There is also a quarry nearby where people swim and the Tidewater Inn in town rents bikes and kayaks. Such a beautiful place!

Cute place, well appointed with everything necessary for living confortly.

We were impressed with our communication with the owner. The place was beyond our expectations in both living necessities and decorating. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Location was great. The only complaint I have is a smoke detector low battery alarm during the night.

Simply charming

A perfect apartment for our stay on Vinalhaven. Situated within walking distance to all amenities, we were also pleasantly surprised to be a 20 minute walk from the local swimming hole. It is a bit of a walk from the ferry to the apartment with the last part being uphill, so arranging a ride to and from the dock would be ideal. Other than that you are set. Super comfortable bed with nice linens. The apartment is clean with a lot of unique character, just like the town of Vinalhaven. I highly recommend this place for a couple.

Starr Street Rental

Our rental on Starr Street was comfiortable and economically decorated. There were many interesting pictures, games, puzzles and books to compensate for television or radio. There was wifi, but a landline would have helped us contact friends and family. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
