Great Management

This was in a great location, a walk to the beach Asilomar. The bed was comfortable, maid service was efficient. The executive room was good, more comfortable dinning chairs, the couch was faced wrong so to not see the tv, except from the bed. Had to replace the Krug coffee maker, but there was all day deluxe coffee available in the office, many delicious teas!! (My preferred) fresh fruit, donuts, English muffins, hot and cold cereal offered for breakfast. Had help with luggage up the stairs when checking in. Complimentary platter for neighbors 4 am disturbance. Stayed a week and it was the best week ever, whale watching, hiking at Big Sur and Pfeiffer state beach, shopping in Carmel and Monterey, Aquarium.

Great find in Pacific Grove

Cute property, about a block away from the ocean. The room was as advertised and clean. The office was very accommodating and pleasant. They offer e-bike rentals and there is an on-site parking lot.

Refurbished Motel in Pacific Grove

The hosts were very nice and cared about everything. We were expecting more of an individual cottage, but instead it was just a nice motel room with a squeaky bed that could have used a little sofa and a mantel or more places to set things.

Exactly what they advertised.

Property was clean. Management were all helpful and friendly. The bed was very comfortable. You had a choice of 4 top quality pillows. The bathroom was smallish, but new plumbing fixtures and flooring. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Relaxing, homey feeling

Short stay. Very current unit, updated. Connected not separated, but quiet. Very close to ocean, golf course and downtown. Fog for my stay held me back, but did get out to watch high waves. Fun! Longer drive off Highway 1 than expected. Staff very efficient, helpful and friendly. Check out this Inn.

Beautiful and Quaint

A perfect, relaxing get away. We were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful flowers and plants throughout the property. The room was lovely and an easy walk to the ocean. Great service and ambiance!

Best little Inn

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This place is so nice and quiet. It's small and not busy. Easy walk from your car to your room. And also nice walk to the beach and close drive to Monterey. Seeing all the deer walking around is awesome to see. Would definitely stay here again.

Pacific Grove at its best

Excellent location for driving the17 mile highway, Carmel and Monterey. Owners were very helpful in referring places and things to do as well as places to eat. I highly recommend staying at Sunset Inn. Enjoy your next get a way.

Decent option for Pacific Grove

The Sunset Inn is a nice option if you are in the area. It’s a decent price, close enough to town to walk, but far enough as ti remain quiet. The staff was friendly and welcoming, eager to share options for dining and sites. The room was smaller and a bit less well appointed than the images suggested, but again, it felt reasonable given the dates we travelled and other accommodations in the area.

Rakesh the manager goes above and beyond in providing the best excellent customer service. The cleanliness not only of our room but of property itself is outstanding. It is as described and minutes within walking distance to beach. I highly recommend Sunset Inn and plan on returning soon. 👌

Great sunset

Just as advertised. Our unit was a second floor walk up. Balcony was a nice place to sit and watch sunset. Cabins are connected with good parking. Easy to get to all Monterey sites. Tub/shower was a bit inconvenient for seniors. Thanks for the lovely bottle of wine!

Good even though parking was tight

This inn was comfortable, quiet in the evenings, and close to events that we attended. We were glad that we upgraded because the room seemed on the small side anyway, although there was a bit of doubt about the price as we didn't think it warranted being over $300 per night. Travel has gotten pricey, perhaps. All the necessities were taken care of, so a good rating although parking was tight in the evenings. There was construction on a roof next door going on in the weekdays but it was after 9:00am.

Quaint Village by the Sea

As soon as you turn in to the driveway, you feel like you're transported to a little village complete with cobblestone streets and street lights. The ocean is a short walk away, with a wonderful path following along the rocky shore. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was easy to get on to the main drag through Pacific Grove and on to the Cannery Row area of Monterey. I would definitely stay here again!

We spent one night at the Sunset inn and had a lovely time. The location is excellent, close to the beach and not far from downtown Pacific Grove. We also rented E bikes at the inn which was very convenient and a great way to tour the area

Perfect for a mini get-away

Very clean property with friendly staff. Walking distance to the shore and into town. Just a short drive from Monterey. Very peaceful location, with a lovely fire patio. Wish we had more time here but would visit again!

Location was close to the coast and was very clean. I was disappointed our rental only had one bedroom. The listing showed two rooms. Bathroom was very small, had little room to get ready in the morning, and the door didn’t shut completely so I couldn’t stand in front of the mirror. Check-in process was a struggle and took too much time. Gave manager our vehicle license plate and even showed a photo of it, but they still went out to get a photo of our plates which made us feel they didn’t trust us.
