Fantastic Family Getaway

This condo has the best location at the Hawaiian Inn with steps to the pool deck and the beach. The room is exactly as pictured in the photos and was very clean and spacious. My family had a great time and I would highly recommend staying in this unit.

Overpriced unit with annoying noise issues!

Loved that the unit was first floor which was very nice for my handicapped husband but, hated that every night starting around 9pm there was a humming noise that came through the bedroom wall and did not stop until around 9am. I brought the noise issue to the attention of the front desk of this resort along with the Realtor who has it listed but, the issue was not correct nor was I offered a partial refund of the monies I paid to stay in this unit for five nights or any other type of compensation. Also there is No TV in the bedroom. There was Black Mold on the ceiling in the bedroom closet which the realtor did send someone out the next day to clean after I reported it. Problem there was I was told someone would be there between 11am to 1pm. After a 2 1/2 hour no show as I wasted part of my vacation day waiting on the clean up person I left the unit at 1:30pm and returned around 4pm. While I was out of the unit a clean up person let their self into the unit and cleaned the black mold. Did not like the fact that someone went in while I was gone. There was also black mold in the door facing from the bedroom into the living room but I did not see it until the night before we departed. All of this explains why my husband ended up with a Respiratory infection while we was there and had to contact his medical doctor to call him in scripts. I did message the realtor about the finding of additional black mold, and sent pics & videos on everything. NO REPLY……

Perfect Spot!

Host easy to communicate with. Check in/out quick and painless! The Hawaiian itself is an older building, but our room was great, updated, clean and perfect for our crew! Being right on the pool deck was so nice for our kids!

Rough stay, did it’s job but wasn’t pleasant.

Once we finally got the keys out of the jammed lock box we entered the dark dungeon as we call it. It was very dark but clean. Felt very damp. So after unloading all our stuff we went to dinner, came back and the kitchen floor was soaked. Leaking from the ceiling. A towel didn’t cut it so had to used the bowls to catch the water. Contacted landlord and she said Monday it will be taken care of. Which Monday it was taken care of but the whole weekend we had water leaking and bowls everywhere. Turns out the shower had no hot water either so I called the landlord again about that and that wasn’t fixed till about Tuesday night. So Friday Saturday Sunday Monday had to take freezing cold showers. No light at all in the bedroom area so the bathroom light was the only light we had. So picture this dark room, leaking ceiling and no hot water. The whole place felt wet and cold and dark just musty all around. We ended up leaving 5 days early and calling it a wash. Nothing was really the landlords fault but the Hawaiian inn in general is definitely a dump and I’d never stay there again, even if they remodeled. I even went to the front desk and ask about the hot water and they just pushed it all on the owner of the room.

Dissatisfied

The pictures were deceiving . I felt unsafe in the location. And the online didn’t show anything on the outside. There was a broken window holes in the door and a crack in the top of the door when it closed. Just wasn’t a place I would stay.

Great location

The condo is right by the kiddie pool and big pool - fantastic for my young kids! It also isn't far from the steps down to the beach. :) The condo is on the first floor, so some foot and vehicle traffic noise is to be expected. A working ceiling fan or some type of box fan in the bedroom to block out the noise at night would go a long way. Alicia was quick to respond prior to check in, but when I messaged the next morning about the overhead light and ceiling fan in the bedroom not working, I received no response. I also sent her the requested info upon check out. No response. The condo was clean and the pictures accurately reflect the property. Overall, a good stay.

Best in the area

The pictures represent the condo to a T. We felt that for an older condo is has modern feel. The option to walk out of your room to the pool to the ocean great! walking up and down the beach you dont see any other condos that have this view and set up. The pool is large, the Tiki bar is unique bonus. There in no hot tub but there is a kiddie pool which is great for families. There are plenty of chairs, grounds are kept clean and there is security to keep the partying at a good level.

The owner answered every question we had. We love everything about our stay. Our granddaughter was on cloud nine. And cried when we left.

Beautiful View

We were visiting Daytona for NDA Collegiate Champ competitions. The unit was well maintained. The ease of a 1st floor walkout to the pool and beach area was fantastic. The view from the patio is just like the picture shows. The tiki bar on the property was a plus. Our host was very responsive through the process, and sent the information needed in a timely manner. We spent very little time at the unit due to the competition, but I had zero issues, and would rent again if I was in the Daytona area again.

Nice condo / poorly managed property

The kitchenette was recently renovated. Unfortunately, no bath mats, brooms, or rugs to help with sand accumulation. No dishwasher, which was fine, but no dish towels, dish rags or a dish drying rack. When I dropped something on the floor in the living room and moved the couch to find it, I discovered used bandaids, a medicine bottle with unknown stuff inside, playdoh and filth. Front door was splitting apart, as if it had been forcefully opened at some point. Property was dirty, old litter everywhere and just run way down. Front desk personnel were rude and unhelpful.

Spring Break Adventure

We were looking for a relatively affordable place to stay on the beach and came across this. The suite had most of what we needed. We would have appreciated more kitchen towels and more places to hang towels and swimsuits to dry. The pools, mini golf, and beach were great! I loved that we could walk out the door straight to the pool or the beach. We didn't have to lug lots of stuff back and forth since it was easy to run back in. I regret that we didn't go to the Polynesian Fire Show... It seemed very popular! Also, I should mention that the Hawaiian Inn seems very popular with Spring Breakers. There was a loud dj every day we were there and lots of partying. It was noisy, but we embraced the chaos!

Okay

The location being right on the beach is great, the pool area and the tiki bar were great! The room could use some good deep cleaning. Perhaps some updates of the bathroom, the trim at the bottom of the mirror was hanging, the tub-shower is seemingly scratched/dirty? No tv remote in the bedroom, no kitchen dishcloth to wash dishes. With the cost I would think a little more than one hand towel in the bathroom would be nice, hot pads to grab hot dishes out of the microwave would have been nice and a decent kitchen towel. The luau dinner was neat! I was instructed to take a picture of the parking pass being left in the room and I took a picture of the keys being placed back in the lock box. I sent those over the day we left, as instructed (2 days ago) and I've still not got a confirmation the texts were received. I hope nothing has happened to the girl I was communicating with!

Great location little dirty

Great location, love the first floor walkout. And I’d definitely stay again just for those reasons, BUT full disclosure, there was hair in the drain of the tub, the air vents were pretty gross dusty, there was some kind of bar broke and laying on the toilet when I arrived, and the Cherry on the cake was the super creepy old rusty pair of bush clippers under the bead next to a old hair tie. Super weird and creepy. And all the hops you have to jump through with the owner to gain access to the unit is a little much and it proves why hotels are much more convenient on check in and check out than using these rentals. And all that for just a couple hundred bucks a night. Pretty pricey. I could stay at a nice Hampton or Hilton for that kind of money. I would say this is a $100 a night kind of place for future reference. My $.02. Overall it was fine if you can get past the other stuff, and the location is top notch for in town.

Our Daytona Beach Week

Your unit was super nice and the beds were incredibly comfy. It would be great to have more towels. At the beach you can't have too many. You could also have lots of rugs. The floor feels yucky with sand even when it's clean. We put the towels on the floor to walk on. But overall nice unit.

My family and I have been staying at the Hawaiian Inn for the past decade and this place has really gone downhill. Let me be clear that I am not usually one to complain but my stay here was ridiculous. There is zero managerial staff on the premises to regulate anything, no security, and no accountability of any kind. People are free to walk into the pool area off the street or beach and light up a joint beside the kiddy pool and there is absolutely NOTHING anyone can do about it. Our room smelled of marijuana the entire trip- it was coming from the ventilation system. We attempted to alert the manager on several occasions only to be told there wasn’t one on duty and the people at the front desk are a joke. Unfortunately contacting the property owner proved to be of little use as well. The arcade/game area was run down with most of the games out of order and the ones that weren’t took our money and again- the front desk proved to be useless. No putters available for the putting green. Back door handle and bathroom mirror trim dangling. Shower pressure was weak and temperature alternated between scalding to freezing with every shower. We unknowingly booked during truck week- What a disaster! Every day trucks cruising the beaches thumping horrendous vulgar music and every night until 2am- so loud our windows were rattling. Super fun when your trying to enjoy a relaxing time with your family and small children. No one enforces parking regulations. Two massive trucks were parked directly in front of our room, not in a parking space, and no Hawaiian Inn tag. They were allowed to blast their music all night long and the parking lot was completely trashed the next morning. Tried to call the front desk- no answer. Should have just called the police… so disappointed in this place. We will not be coming back here again. Great for teenie boppers who want to get wasted and high without any repercussions. Not so much for families or anyone trying to relax.

Spring get-away

Alicia was very helpful on all questions quick to reply, ground floor was excellent for easy access . Good quite A/C, Hot water, ceiling fan. Up every morning to catch sunrise.. pool, hammocks,beach access gate just steps away. Very, very good food at tiki bar (cook there for 30 years ) attended Luau at hotel great price for dinner & show Will definitely book again
