Beautiful Farmhouse located on 1200 acres of private bliss with a quiet pond.

Mountain View Farm is peacefully nestled in the foothills of the Western Maine Mountains.
This hidden gem is a newly renovated two story house that boasts 4 sizable, comfortable bedrooms that sleeps 13 people. 2 bathrooms allow for plenty of space for everyone in your party to use the facilities simultaneously.
If you’re planning to host guests during your stay, you can be sure you’ll have the space to do so comfortably with the open kitchen, a large private porch with barbecue grill, dining area and living room with a functional fireplace.
Hosting a family reunion or maybe a summer wedding?** You can spend your days lounging in the sand or swimming at your private beach/pond. There are several lounge chairs provided as well as umbrellas. The beach has several picnic tables under the pavilion that can be used rain or shine. We’ve also provided a barbecue grill conveniently located by the beach under the pavilion for cookouts as well. The fire pit and electricity allows for warm evenings with lights.
While the grill master prepares the perfect meal others can engage in the perfect cookout games; a bonus including horseshoes and badminton.
There are many local attractions within a 20-30 minute drive. You could drive to North Conway to enjoy the outlets at “The Settlers Green.” Joining us during the winter? Slide on over to partake in skiing or other snow recreational activities at King Pine Mountain ski area; just a 15 minute drive away.
Whether you’re planning to stay during the summer or winter months there is sure to be activities for everyone. The manicured trails located right outside the back door are perfect for hiking, mountain biking or snowmobiling. The Burnt Meadow Mountain snowmobile trails go directly through the center of the property with endless miles of trails that will undoubtedly provide hours of entertainment or spend time sunbathing, swimming or fishing at the pond.

Wonderful house and beautiful landscape

We were three families with kids (6) who had a wonderful 3 days over the New Year. The house is clean and has everything we needed. Although we were a large group, there was enough place for everyone both in common areas and bedrooms. The winter lake views are stunning and there were plenty of options for winter hiking. Also there is a ski resort within 15 minutes drive. We definitely would love to visit again!

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The first thing I always look for is cleanliness and this was a 5! Very clean! Nice quiet vacation. The weather was not the best but the little ones enjoyed playing down by the beach and taking hikes in the woods nearby. Linda, the owner called and stopped by to ask us if we needed anything! A wonderful getaway

We had a lovely time reconnecting with nature in Brownfield. Minimal cell phone service (but good wifi) allowed us to really disconnect. We loved having a fire each night by the pond. We drove to Lovewell pond for fishing and tubed on the Saco. The pond on property wasn’t the best for fishing/swimming. However, we found a little swim spot on Shepard’s River on the property about a 10 minute walk away! House was spacious - could use a little updating with living room furniture and beds. Wish we brought a box fan to use in the bedroom window at night as you can’t control the AC. Overall a great place to stay!

Great country home

The home is like less 10 minutes from the border of New Hampshire. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathroom, lots of trails to walk & pond. The house has all the amenities to include ac, dishwasher, washer & two dryers. The kids had fun swimming at the beach area & jumping off the swimming platforms. Very nice pavilion next to the beach with picnic tables & lights with fire pit adjacent to. Overall, an awesome place to stay. Its nice & quiet in a country setting. You are about 3.5 hours to acadia, 1 hour to Portland, and 2.5 hrs to Salem. Only 2 things i would like to note: pond does have leeches, just beware, still go swim and the bed mattresses are spring and if you have a bad back or are older, you may be stiff in the morning.

Our family and two other family's stay here for our annual trip. We live going to storyland on the first day then relaxing on the beach the rest of the week. It's calm and quiet and the perfect get away.

Friend Getaway

Nice, secluded spot for a friend/family getaway. Everything we could possibly need, including firewood! Everyone in our group of 10 had a bed to sleep on. Private pond and covered picnic area was great for the kids, even when the weather wasn't warm and sunny. We had a wonderful stay!

We love staying at this property every summer as a family. Linda is a wonderful hostess, the property and house are very well maintained, and we always enjoy our time on the beach and exploring the hiking paths - even when it rains!

Paradise I the middle of nowhere

Our second time staying and it was just as amazing as the first! The only bummer was how cold the water was because of the weather this year - but we still spent plenty of time on the beach, in our kayaks and fishing. The worst part was having to leave!

Family vacation rental

The place is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. Perfect little getaway with the family. All the necessities were already there(pots n pans, towels, hand soap, air freshener, board games, life jackets…etc. After the first night there Linda came over the next morning and introduced herself. She’s a very lovely lady. We had a family of 12 for a week, make sure to bring extra toilet paper as there was only 1 spare and trash bags. There was 1 extra in each trash can but a family of 12 with kids. We went through them pretty fast. Our only complaint really was the fridge. When we arrived there was water on the floor from the fridge. I dried it up and it didn’t leak anymore, but the fridge kept things cool but not quite cold to our liking. Our salad mix and veggies went bad quick in the fridge. You do not get service there. However they do have a landline you can use while there. The pond does have leeches so bring water shoes. Linda is quick at responding when we had to call because the fire alarm was going off. Sent a guy right over and turned it off (got Smokey while making lunch). Overall the place was well taken care of and would highly recommend staying there again.

Home away from home

The pictures don’t say enough about this property! Linda was amazing, Everything about this place is amazing and a home away from home, the beach is private, the kids enjoyed swimming daily and roasting over the fire down by the water then going for walks on the property at dusk to find moose tracks. Slight hill going down to the water which was no issue for us but if you have anyone elderly there’s very easy access to just drive down to the water to avoid the hill. We would absolutely stay again!

Perfect Stay for the Whole Family!

This property was exactly what we hoped for! I didn’t realize that there would be no cell reception when I booked the property, but otherwise it was absolutely perfect. We had a group of 13: 4 families together ranging from 3 months to 65 years old, 5 of which were kids- and it was all just great! Perfect location, the pond was wonderful for swimming, relaxing, and fishing. The house was clean and comfortable and there were so many things that the property owners had already thought of and prepared for. Lots of trails to wander and explore and good sized rooms in the house even for larger groups. Everyone enjoyed the Monday-Saturday stay and we would highly recommend this place for all!! :)

Beautiful waterfront home

This place met all of our expectations!!! Private place on the water for the kids to swim, fish, and go kayaking (brought our own). The property is awesome! The owners, as well as the maintenance man were so very helpful. You don’t even need to go anywhere else in Maine it’s so peaceful and fun just to be on the property. We will be back!

A lovely stay

This property was great for our family! It was so nice to have enough bedrooms and bathrooms for us and the property was clean and well-kept. The little pond was great for fishing and kayaking and the beach was perfect for the kids to play. Close to fryeburg and North Conway we went to each town multiple times for things to do and places to eat. Definitely recommend this property and would stay here again!

Ski Trip

The property and the home are spectacular. We spent a wonderfully relaxing weekend cross-country skiing, watching the beautiful deer and attending the Stone Mountain Arts Center. As always, everything was perfect! Thank you Vin and Linda!

We have lived in Brownfield for 37 years, been married for 53 years. We both come from the northeast and plan to stay here. I went to Nursing School and my husband is retired from the United States Army and still has his hand in his own business.

Why they chose this property

My Husband was familiar with this area as he traveled here in his younger days. He talked me into buying this property, which we both love. The property started out at 10 acres. Little by little we bought up land around us and now we own over 1200 acres. It's been cleared and fields have been brought back to the original fields. We are very proud of our home and property, and what we have accomplished. Our home is located at 193 Sam Brown Hill Rd.
