Welcome to our stunning cabin, an elevated version of the beloved Goose and Gander Cabins. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this cabin offers unparalleled comfort and breathtaking views.

Step inside to find a cozy rock fireplace, perfect for warming up after a day of adventure. The cabin’s beautiful glass front opens up to a large deck, where you can relax in a 6-person hot tub while taking in the serene river views.

The master bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, while the loft bedroom offers two queen-size beds. Both bedrooms boast huge windows, ideal for stargazing or enjoying the local scenery. The cabin’s log construction adds a rustic charm, complemented by hardwood floors throughout.

Gorgeous Retreat and Hideaway

Absolutely loved this stay, what a beautiful place to relax and escape, by the river surrounded by trees, not too far to venture to some activities and the Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah River. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub, stargazing and watching the fireflies at night and even got to watch a short lightning storm across the next valley. Only a 6/7 min drive to the supermarket, petrol station and some fast food places, a few more mins to the centre of Luray where there are a few small shops, cafes and a great ice-cream parlour. Our only very minor issue was that from the listing before booking it wasn’t obvious that we needed to bring our own bedding, and travelling from the UK that was an issue. However as soon as I messaged them about this they said they would sort it out for us. As soon as we arrived they were straight round with the bedding and towels and answered any questions we had. Great hosts, would absolutely recommend this cabin to anyone that was looking to stay in the Luray area.

Hiking Getaway

Wonderful location! The cabin was clean and so cozy. We hiked during the day and enjoyed the hot tub under the stars to relax. Loved our stay and plan to return!! It was perfect!!

Great year-round getaway!

This is a cute cabin with great views and we did not want to leave! From the comfortable couch and beds, hot tub, proximity to activities, views, and overall welcoming atmosphere, I’d definitely stay here again! This time was for an adult friends trip, but next time I’d like to bring my children. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful Christmas

Beautiful clean home that brought great joy and fun to us on Christmas. We baked cookies for Santa, relaxed in the hot tub, roasted goodies and went to Bryce Ski resort for tubing on Christmas Day. Beautiful home provided everything I needed to make a lovely Christmas dinner. Hosts were wonderful to work with!

Great place to get away.

Everything was wonderful. This is the second time we have stayed on the property and haven’t been disappointed yet. The only complaint was the jets for the hot tub were not working. The temperature and circulation were great. We will absolutely return in the future.

Beautiful and Modern Cabin

I loved staying here and will definitely come back. The property was clean, modern, well-taken care of, and cozy. The hot tub was high quality. The location was great. The open windows of the back face the river so there is lots of privacy. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Loved it!

Visit to Luray

The cabin was in an excellent location to the town of Luray and the great hiking areas of the Shenandoah Park. The cabin was very clean and all amenities were provided. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely rent the cabin again !!!

Great Mom and Daughter getaway

What a great trip! My mom, sister and I took this as our girls get away to see the beautiful fall colors and we were not disappointed. We utilized the hot tub every morning and night. We will definitely book again!

Cute Cabin - mins from Luray Caverns & Shenandoah!

Nice location, very private. Well appointed cabin with a hot tub on the deck overlooking the river. Hosts are very gracious & had it set up well. But dont forget your towels & sheets! No worries there if you do(like we did..lol)! Walmart is 10-15 mins away!

Lovely Luray

Charming, spacious very relaxing place to unwind. Far enough to feel away from any hustle bustle. Close enough to Luray to make amenities at hand in a few minutes. Really lovely town, we found everyone engaging and quick to smile. Views of splendor everywhere and are enjoyed best from the hot tub on the deck. Definitely take the time to check out Massanutten Country Corner

We are established cabin owners for over 10 years. I have been an owner and manager of Shenandoah River outfitters., for even longer. I have always been in the tourism industry since my teenage years as a guide on Shenandoah National Park.
My husband David is a farmer and his family farm has been in the Shenandoah Valley since 1790
We have a working farm, so the cabin is located in a rural setting.

Why they chose this property

Our cabins are on a piece of property that my husband and I bought over 25 years ago.
The family used to own this piece and we wanted to get the property back.
This is a beautiful river front piece, that we have grown to love. You can float right by the cabins. It is a bird lover and fisherman's paradise. We loved this property and all our friends said that it would be perfect for cabins and we finally caved, and put up the Goose and Gander. Everyone loves our little cabins so we decided to add the last and nicest cabin to the collection.

What makes this property unique

There is a 34 acre island out in front of the cabin. There is over a mile of riverfront access.
You can wade, swim, fish,canoe, tube, kayak, bird watch, look for wild life. All within the confines of the cabins.
There is a private boat launch on the property.
Because of the large private island and the unspoiled area there are birds everywhere.
