We have rented several times through VRBO and i guess we have been spoiled. The cabin was ok small but described accurately. There were not any thrills. Didnt hear anything from the host by 2 days before leaving so i reached out and was told that they usually send info day before but would send right then, and they did. That was the only communication we had with the host. Dont really feel like we got what we paid for. Was pretty expensive rental for no dishwasher, 2 hand towels, 1 roll of paper towels, no extra blankets, missing door handles, missing cabinet knobs, 2 wine glasses, 3 coffee cups and light bulbs burnt out.
Great for fisherman to park their boats at the dock. Comes with a couple plug ins down there. Super convenient. Also an impressive assortment of wall decor! The driveway is just a little tight, would recommend to plan to keep your boat in the water.
AMAZING AWESOME PERFECT PLACE TO STAY ON LAKE GREAT LOCATION !!! OUR EXPERIENCE WAS AWESOME HIGHLY RECCOMEND THIS COTTAGE ON THE LAKE !!Everything you need there great decor of cottage, ownnership !!amazing just a great place !!ssure !!!
The cabin and property were beautiful and relaxing. Due to the time of year, we wasn’t able to use the boathouse due to the water level. The width of the road in and the driveway makes it difficult to maneuver a boat trailer because the neighbor had the circle drive blocked off. So unless you are skilled driver it is difficult.
We had a fabulous stay at the cabin, it was what the dr ordered away from our daily lives. We fished, kayaked, walked, crafted, read, napped, talked and laughed! We highly recommend this gem. Morgan was super responsive to our outreach! Pups loved all the squirrels that tormented them 😂
Quaint. Clean. Adorable! Quick mini family vacay for an extended weekend getaway. It was the perfect location! String lights adorned trees over the fire pit next to a pier and an incredible view of the lake. Back porch had a wrapped bench sitting around a tree, table, chairs and Adirondack chairs. Inside was completely furnished with utensils, bathroom supplies, games and the decor was perfect for a cabin setting. I had to contact the owner a few times (because …. Boys) and they were very quick to respond. Friendly, helpful and generous with their time! Absolutely NO negatives with this stay! 10/10 recommend!
We came to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary by relaxing and fishing. The rain kept us inside 2 1/2 days, but we did get in a day and a half with good luck catching some nice bream. One suggestion, since we were forced inside by the weather, we were very uncomfortable due to the condition of the furnishings in the living area. Everything else is as described in listing. Loved the seclusion and privacy, nice fishing cabin.
We fished from the dock with plenty of room (caught a few nice bass and a turtle). Everything was clean. Very quite and the beds were comfortable. Would be great for a family of 5.
A perfect place for a quiet getaway! The house is comfortable and has all the essentials for relaxing, cooking on the stove or barbeque, and fishing when the mood hits. It is directly on a small cove just off the river, deep in the surrounding woods, with only a few other homes within earshot. The hosts were very helpful and made sure the house was clean and ready for our stay. We look forward to planing our next visit!
We love bass fishing and really wanted to experience Lake Guntersville and we weren't disappointed. We traveled from Northern Minnesota to spend a week. We were so happy with the cabin, boat dock, location and everything else. It was myself, husband and adult son. We couldn't find anything wrong with the cabin :) Already talking about returning next April. It was worth the 20 hour drive.
There are parts of the street the house is on that is kind of bumpy. Just be aware and take the road slowly.
The house and dock were very clean. We didn't have a boat, so we fished right off the dock. We were able to catch small largemouth bass and a few bream. A boat would have been ideal. The water level is low in this area, so I imagine some care needs to be taken when driving the boat in and out of the area.
The house has utensils, cookware, knives, plates, bowls, a keurig, oven/stove, microwave, & fridge. It's a bit rustic, which we liked. There are a series of windows in the back with the dining room table. We really enjoyed the view during meals. There's no tub, only a shower stall, but that really didn't faze us.
It was so quiet and peaceful. My husband and I loved it. We saw ducks, a beaver, and what looked like a bald eagle. For anyone who loves to fish, this is a great location that doesn't break the bank.
