We had a very pleasant stay here. The view is beautiful and the furniture is comfortable. It was warm enough in October that we got to use the kayaks and that was enjoyable. We were able to see beavers, swans and other birds. The house has a good vibe and we had a nice time staying here.
This was a perfect place to stay with our two kids for a week away from home! We spent every day on the water swimming, fishing, and taking advantage of the kayaks and canoe. Our kids loved the rafts and we loved that there were minimal boats creating wakes during the week. The house was cozy and relaxing to return to in the evenings. Thanks for a great week!
Absolutely wonderful time!! The lake is beautiful and the house is perfect. You can handle stairs This place is a must stay. The dock is in wonderful shape and the canoe and kayak availability was awesome. We had a wonderful stay and might even plan another trip next year. Love this place!
Great house! 6 of us (4 adults and 2 teens) fit comfortably. The lake was beautiful and we were minutes from a nice grocery store and a great breakfast place. We would love to stay again!
Just an FYI, and the listing states this but the stairs to the water is a *fantastic* workout, lol.
We had a wonderful stay at the wren house. It's a quaint little space with the perfect atmosphere for a quiet and relaxing get away. Had a great time getting out on the water to kayak, canoe, fish, and just relax. 10/10 would stay again!
A delightful property, well supplied with all the kitchen gear you might need, boats, linens, games, books.
Wonderful view, excellent surroundings - wetlands and lakes full of birds and other wildlife.
Probably not too many better options out there anywhere!
Such a wonderful place to stay! It is a super nice and cozy cottage on a beautiful lake. It was right out of town so access was super easy. Definitely will return.
We had a great time hanging out in a really fun place right by the lake! Lots of room for a family of 5 and we saw lots of nature that Included more birds the I could list and we even spotted the elusive local Beaver! Well stocked house - would also be amazing in the summer when it’s warmer.
We booked this location for our visit to the Michigan Fiber Festival in Allegan. We also went in to Kalamazoo and South Haven for dinners out and some additional shopping. The decks were great for playing games and hanging out. It was a great place to stay. Thank you!
Our 3-night stay was peppered with beauty, play, and relaxation. The setting felt like something out of a novel. Having grown up in Michigan, I loved watching my three Colorado teens make Michigan summertime memories.
Located not too far from Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids this property had all my sisters and I could ask for at the time. Peaceful lake, well equipped Kitchen, Kayaking boats for lake adventures, and a fire pit for s'mores and stories I would absolutely come here again. Thank you for having us.
The Chalet is very clean and tidy. The woman in my life are hard to please and they were very happy with the smell of the bedding :) The location and lake is very quiet and the fishing is good once you find the fish! Exactly as advertised and a great price if comparing to equivocal properties.
Loved staying here. Everyone who stayed agreed we want to live here! We rented the space for my sister and her bridal party. We got ready for the wedding here and took some amazing photos inside and out by the water. We so appreciated all the little details- the coffee supplies, fully stocked kitchen, and decor. Even the two smaller beds in the loft were super comfortable. I can't wait to stay again! Thanks for having us!
The property is very nice. It is clean and spacious for an A-frame. The house contained all the amenities we needed. The owners were very responsive and answered any questions that I had. Checking in and out was a breeze. The pond was nice, and the provided canoe gave a way to get out on the water.
We stayed for Christmas to spend the Holiday with our children. House was decorated nicely, and ready to host our family. For the price, We didnt have huge expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised. One small snag with an electrical outlet that was quickly addressed by very responsive hosts. Cute cottage in a very secluded lake neighborhood. Would stay there again, maybe in the summer to enjoy the lake.
We enjoyed our stay at the Wren House. It was decorated exactly how a lake front cottage should be. We enjoyed watching birds on the two bird feeders, loons on the lake and a beaver who swam by the first night. We visited Pierce Cedar Creek Institute and the Kellogg Bird Sanctuary which are both a short drive from Wren House.
Thanks so much for sharing your cozy nest and also for the snacks and wine! 🥂
