Amazing Valley view STUDIO inside The Appalachian Hotel located at the base of the Mountain Creek Ski, Bike and Water Park Resort. This unit has some great sunset and distant mountain views.

THE LOCATION

Vernon Township is in Sussex County New Jersey, USA. It is located about 1 hour from New York City and was established on April 8, 1793. Iron mining was prevalent during the mid-to-late 19th century. Mines such as Canister Mine, Williams Mine, and the Pochuck Mine created industry which spawned local businesses and brought rail travel to the town.
Today Vernon and the immediate area is an outdoor lover’s paradise. Here you will find a landscape consisting of residential and resort communities, farmland, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, bird watching, barns, horse farms and stables, lakes, fishing, and just so much natural beauty. The famous Appalachian Trail (AT) even runs through it! You will be amazed on what you will find only 1 hour outside of New York City.

Great stay! All we had to bring was clothing and food. The room is very cozy and all things are provided in the kitchen, from cutlery to pots and pans. We will def book again!

We had a nice mini vacation of two nights, it was quiet, & nice view outside window. Heater worked well. Tv worked, kit sink with plates & everything you need if you wanna fry an Egg. Only thing we wish was that the Room was not so far from the Elevator, it was like a Semi-circle walk to our Room, which was too far of a walk for my sr. mom but great Heated Pool & Hot Tub outside during Winter was fun. GerryL was great with Quick responses. Thank you, Gerry, the Manager was very helpful.

I booked a room that was supposed to have two beds and yet there was only one so I had to share a bed with my friend not my lover. There was never anyone at the front desk and we had to look for him to get any help. When we found him, he couldn’t help us because the rooms are not owned by the hotel, but rather by independent owners. The store in the hotel was not open when they were supposed to be so there was no access to coffee in the morning.

Mountain creek is beautiful

Great view. Everything was included (cups,pans,plates,spoons,coffee maker, kettle,bounty,toilet paper, didn’t need to bring anything)the unit had many sheets and the AC was great. The hotel is awesome, pool, spa, gym, library,bar,etc. close to everything also (Taco Bell,CVS,pizza ,Burger King,) we had a great stay here.

The location and the unit served our needs well. We enjoyed the amenities and surrounding area.

Our visit was 6 weeks in length and allowed us proximity to our family to help care for our grandson. It was nice to come back to the condo in the evening to take a walk, sit at the pool and relax. We ate at the Biergarten several times and enjoyed local restaurants. Golf was nearby and we were able to enjoy the Crystal Springs courses. A beautiful area to visit.

Comfortable and attractive studio

This studio unit is as promised. It is well equipped and arranged attractively. The kitchen is well stocked with kitchen utensils, pots and pans as well as dinnerware. The bathroom is spacious. Amenities are convenient and there are restaurants and outdoor attractions within a short drive. We enjoyed an extended stay and found that this unit and the hotel met our needs. The rental company was informative and professional.

Great little condo

This condo worked out well for my 5 night stay. The bed was comfortable and the view out the window let me know what was going on at the resort as it faces the cabriolet. The kitchen is small but gets the job done.

Great little condo

This condo was great for my 5 night stay. The bed was comfortable and the view out the window was great. It faces the cabriolet so I could always see what was going on. The kitchen is small but gets the job done. The pool and hot tubs are nice, it's a great resort.

Comfortable space - good communication with owner - nice amenities - friendly staff

My wife and I enjoyed our stay for a weekend of snowboarding (and bonus hot tubbing). The check-in process could not be easier. Thanks to the step by step instructions we felt like we were coming home to our own place. The staff at the hotel are the nicest (and most helpful) people at Mountain Creek BY FAR! We recommend breakfast sandwiches at the little shop downstairs. Would definitely return.

Great home base for outdoor activities

The room was nice with a lot of natural sunlight. The water park is in view from the window and the room provides access to the resort amenities like the game room, outdoor pools, shuttle service to Crystal Springs and the Minerals resort, etc. There were a few issues with the room upon arrival which were quickly resolved. The owner had great communication throughout these resolutions. There are no restaurants or bars at this specific resort, but you can purchase beer from the lobby bodega, and there is a "beer garden" a short walk away. We enjoyed a ride to the top of the mountain on the ski lift (complimentary), and twilight water park passes which were a lot of fun. I'd recommend this room and resort for families that want to enjoy the mountain or water park. There's also a very well established BMX/Mountain bike scene at the mountain. I believe you can rent the bikes at the ski shop and you take them on the lift to the top of the mountain and ride down. Looked very cool. If you are looking for outdoor fun, this is a great spot. Do not coming looking for great food and drink, as those were hard to find. Recommended for families and outdoor enthusiasts.
