WINTER MONTHS: Mountain roads can be extremely curvy and steep. Gravel drives are very well maintained; however, we highly recommend four wheel drive during the snow months.

Wonderful winter weekend

I have been skiing at Bryce annually for 40 years, and had previously always stayed in my family’s timeshare. We had enough family coming this year that my husband and I decided to split off from the group and rent this wonderful cabin for us and our two young kids. I am so glad we did! This cabin is so lovely, well maintained, and space is well utilized. It is so close to the ski resort, and was such an inviting place to come home to each evening.

Great getaway

We arrived bit later than expected on Fri and it was dark, so couldn't really see the roads at night! However once we arrived it felt like we were home. The space, the location, the ambience and the overall experience we had it was nothing but spectacular m will highly recommend!!

We had the pleasure of staying at this charming chalet for two nights, and it was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we arrived, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The chalet was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities we could need. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to prepare our own meals, and the cozy living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The location was ideal—surrounded by stunning scenery and close to hiking trails, we were able to enjoy nature while still having easy access to local attractions. The outdoor space was a highlight, providing a serene spot to unwind and soak in the views. Overall, our stay was a wonderful escape, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend this chalet for anyone seeking a peaceful getaway!

Anniversary Weekend

Lovely weekend. Nice home. Perfectly located next to Bryce Resort. Pictures made the living room look larger and lighter than it is, but since it was just me and my wife, it was fine.

Very nice amenities

This house was the relaxing place we needed after staying the night before in a noisy hotel. The area was really nice. The house was beautiful. The owner was great about getting back to me when I messaged them prior to booking. Really great experience!

Relaxing Getaway

Enjoyed a relaxing 3 days on way home from Williamsburg. Place was great. Did a few road trips to wineries, caverns and plantations. Only thing that was disappointing was that we didn’t bring the golf clubs. Great looking golf course 1/2 mile down the road.

Nice place for 6-8 people

This was a nice rental. It is really better fitted for 6-8 people/adults. We had ten adults and it was really tight. The communications with the owner is wonderful; they are very nice. They did a great job putting together a binder and guidebook. The location is good and near lots of fun things (we did a good hike and had a nice visit to a winery). The place is not very clean (there was old food left under the dining room table, the tops of the shower have been left uncleaned for a while, and the beds had not be mopped/swept under in a while given the amount of dust and dirt), but for a rustic getaway, it's not too bad. The bunk beds are seriously damaged and felt like they were about to fall apart. Overall, we had a good time, but will look for a larger place in the future. This would be a good choice for a small family on a budget looking for a beautiful deck and nice surroundings.

Great place!

The house was perfect for our weekend with family. There was so much natural light and the fireplace, with firewood provided, was really nice. We enjoyed Shenandoah Caverns, a hike around Laura Lake, and the Rt. 11 Chip Factory.

Peaceful

We found the cottage very peaceful and well equipped. Location is great as it is just a short walk to the ski area. My chef husband had lots of fun in the kitchen. Even though it was very cold the house was cozy and warm. I do recommend the listing include a statement saying 4 wheel drive is required if there is any snow. The road the house is location on was plowed but not treated, so it was very icy.

Christmas Stay @ Bryce

My family decided at the last minute to visit Bryce for the holiday. We were pleasantly surprised to find the owner had a Christmas tree up and bottle of wine for us. The kitchen was nice and fully stocked, bathrooms were old and could use an update especially if you want to place a luxury tag on the property. Not sure if property had been used or extensively cleaned in a while but there were huge spider webs hanging from chandelier and in multiple corners and doors. Proximity to Bryce Resort was great. We walked one day. Overall property was nice and served our purpose.

About the host

Host profile image
My husband and I purchased this home as a home away from home for our growing family. Every time we come out here, we automatically feel a sense of calm. The beauty of Bryce immediately relieves any stress you have and allows you to focus on family time and relaxation. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We chose this property because it is so close to the resort, we could walk there in 3 minutes or take a 1 minute drive. The home has a huge deck which allows us to overlook the mountain and spend time outside enjoying the nature. We've had many get togethers with friends and family, always enjoying the scenery and company around us.

What makes this property unique

When we first bought the house, it was in it's original condition from the 1980's. We gutted the entire house and started from the ground up, making it the perfect cabin that we would want to visit if we were on vacation!

We head out to Bryce as much as we can to relax and unplug, and we hope you will do the same!
