This home is the West Coast at its best. Be inspired by this home's artistic Beach House design and its panoramic ocean views. Listen to the waves crash on your private beach and let yourself relax into the sound. This home is smoke-free and pet friendly.

Take a minute's walk from the front door and step onto the lip of the Pacific ocean. The rocky beach is perfect for strolling, walking the dog, or watching for wildlife. In the summer, splash in the waves. In the winter, storm-watch with a warm coffee in your hands.

To watch the waves in total comfort, take a tour of the expansive lower and upper decks. Enjoy the salt and surf without leaving home.

This two level home has two joined bedrooms on the upper level, the first having a queen-bed and the second having two twin beds. An ensuite bathroom with shower and bathtub is accessed off the twin bedroom. You must walk through the queen bedroom to access the twin bedroom and ensuite. This level also has the kitchen, living/dining space, and a half-bathroom by the kitchen.

On the lower level there is another bedroom with a queen-size bed, a full bathroom with shower and bath, and a double-size pullout sofa bed in the living room.

The home is about an hour's drive from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, Victoria International Airport, and Victoria's famous Inner Harbour. Enjoy local shopping, adventure, and amenities in the nearby town of Sooke.

From November 1-May 1, this home is available for rental periods of 30 days. Each 30 day period is $3700, utilities included, subject to fees. Please inquire directly for more information.

Amazing views

Our group all loved the views from the two large decks. The house was clean and well stocked. Access to the beach was quick and easy and the beach was very private. We would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic place for a fantastic location

We spent five nights here and it was just fabulous. Nicely equipped kitchen with a stunning view! Only downside, we were not lucky enough to see any orcas from the patio!

Great location

Best part was the location and easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked but there were a few issues - lost some food due to freezer not working and the dishwasher sounded like a truck. We had a great time!

Amazing Spot in Sooke

We love to scour beaches for rocks, and this place was heaven. It's a perfect place to relax surrounded by nature. Markets/conveniences are only 15 minutes away, and Victoria is a beautiful 45 minute ride. The house has great energy and is extremely functional & well stocked. Host was great--easiest checkout process we've experienced on Vrbo. Definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet getaway on Vancouver Island!

Beautiful seaside home

This home was the ultimate stay on our family road trip. We were continuously amazed by the incredible views from the kitchen and the 2 decks. The short path down to the beach area seemed magically lined w/flowers and butterflies, and the beach area itself provided quick and easy entertainment with some interesting creatures (crabs, sea anemone, bald eagles an octopus!). The house it’s well appointed, with a nice grill and a fire pit as well that encourage outdoor gathering. The entrance was a bit hard to find initially, which seems kind of appropriate for the jewel of a home that this is. A private oasis w/beautiful views! We thoroughly enjoy our stay here.

Family bonding

Loved it. Wonderful location. Mainly well equipped. Would like oven mitts, baking sheet, lighter or matches. Heating downstairs in bedroom and bathroom. Cold in spring. Great recycling, view, light and beach access. Area perfect for exploring and tasting local beers, wine, eggs and honey. Very much 5*. Suited ages 2(dog) to 88(grandma) and all in between.

Watching the water

Our goal was to be near water and watch the ocean traffic in comfort. A very great success! The setting was amazing. We were two couples and the place worked perfectly. With one bedroom upstairs and one down. The third bedroom was also upstairs and would work well for children. The beach was a short walk down, 2 minutes, on a well maintained path. The shore was mostly stone but was too cool to go swimming while we were there. A definite yes for our wants.

Getaway

Nice spot, everything as described, Wifi was a bit spotty at times. Also no curtains in kids bedroom which made nap time challenging if you have a toddler. Neighbours dogs are off leash and will come for a visit. should be mentioned that we didn’t have Telus cell service here, but we were picking up US carriers which wanted to charge $15/day for roaming unless we had our phones in airplane mode.

One hitch but overall good

Pretty much as advertised. Comfy beds. Property driveway is tricky to spot at first. It’s just before the yellow “slow” sign if coming from Sooke. Had to do a late night clean of one bathroom that seemed to have been missed by cleaners. Notified manager but no compensation was offered. To be fair, I also did not request this. Good communication with Stacey. We were in town for a wedding, with proximity to the venue being our main priority. This fit the bill and met our needs. The view was lovely, but it would have been nice to have blackout blinds some mornings. Overall would recommend if you need a place to stay in the area and need more room than a standard hotel.

Lovely property!

We loved our visit at Sue’s Muse. It is a stunning and unique property with wonderful easy access to the beach. General kitchen is not stocked well, so if you are an avid cook, make sure to bring your favorite tools and provisions. We look forward to returning in the future!

Beach House Otter Point.

Beautiful location. GREAT Whale, Otter and sea lion watching… don’t forget your binoculars! Beach walks and beautiful sunsets. Very Peaceful.

Experiencing the Wild West Coast

A wonderful property to experience the southwest coast of Vancouver island.. Well located and stocked.. The address on the VRBO site is not the correct one and should be changed to avoid confusion for your arrival day.

Inconvenient but responsive

The house was smaller than expected and had some deferred maintenance (refrigerator, stove) that "came due" during our stay. We had to get ice from the neighbors (they were great). The situation was inconvenient for sure, but the host was very responsive and had a new frig and stove delivered mid-way through the week.

Annual Trip

This property is very clean and the views are incredible. Beds were comfortable and the hosts were very easy to get ahold of. The walk to the beach is short and easy which was great. Lots of deck space and a great fire pit. Our two very minor negatives would be that the neighbouring home was a bit close for us and there was a few things that could have been better stocked. Overall a great stay and we would return.

Family vacation

Beautiful property, inviting decks, great view. Comfortable beds, and living area. The kitchen was not well equipped-could use more measuring stuff, serving spoons, mixing bowls. We cooked everything night and had to get our daughter to bring extra things. Ran out of toilet paper. Extra supplies were in a locked cupboard, but fortunately we did find the keys. Needed to have more tea towels and things for washing dishes. Could have been cleaner.

Beautiful cozy ocean front home

Thoroughly Enjoyed our family time at this house. Well stocked kitchen and areas for us to visit with plenty of sleeping options. Beautiful easy Ocean front access. Loved the wood burning fire stove on our rainy days. Highly recommend and hope to return.
