The house was clean and there was plenty of space for our group of 5. It is close to campus and Jesse was quick to respond when we needed some assistance.
Place is clean but not lux. No body wash provided ( we left some for you!) Mattresses poor, but everything is clean! Easy check in and host/hostess(?) even shoveled driveway for us! It worked for us and I would recommend. Thanks for having us!
Wanted a hotel alternative for the our family to stay for December graduation. This place fit the bill nicely! Clean and comfortable and located close to campus. It would make a great game day spot with proximity to Ross Ade. Host was quick to answer questions. Worked well for us!
This is a great little neighborhood with easy access to the football stadium. We were there for the Purdue Penn State game and had a great stay. The house is a little dated to but otherwise clean, as stated and functional. Would stay again
Nice and comfortable home to stay at. We enjoyed our time at this property.

Great Location but property needs attention
There were significant cleanliness issues when we arrived, we were unable to use the kitchen the first night. I contacted host and that was positive, she arrived the next day and spent the second day of our stay addressing issues.
There was no oven to use while we were there and BBQ did not get hot enough to ensure meat was cooked so finished cooking in frying pan.
Property needs attention, oven repaired or replaced and more cooking equipment and dishes, a big bowl for a salad etc. we use VRBO so we can do our own cooking but this was a challenge. The hosts are lovely, we were financially compensated for some of the issues. Great location
Good home base for family members during our wedding weekend.
The property met our needs. We did not spend a lot of time at the house. We felt that we had to wash any dishes before using after finding mouse poop and a chewed paper towel in the silverware drawer.
My family stayed here to move our son into his dorm room for the summer semester. We loved that this house was so close to campus, in a beautiful neighborhood. We were able to bring our dog which was so great. The backyard was perfect for her. We drank coffee on the back deck in the morning and used the grill. The kitchen was well stocked, which was very helpful. This home is close to everything- shopping, campus, and lots of dining options. We appreciated having a comfortable home to stay in!
We like to travel with our Mini Schnauzers so available properties are usually limited for people with pets. Unfortunate, but I get it. My favorite part of this property was the backyard. It had a raised deck and a very large backyard compared to our own. We sat on the deck and watched our mini's run after squirrels, rabbits and a family of raccoons living in the neighbors tree. It was very quiet and peaceful. We had a couple of minor issues that the host solved promptly with great communication. My sister in law rented a remodeled home on the river but we all congregated on the deck of this house because it was so peaceful and lovely.
We had a fabulous stay at Jesse's home. Not only was it so much space, but it was absolutely spotless. Everything was so clean and Jesse clearly thought of every detail to make the stay comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, the linens were ample and high quality, and the furniture was clean fresha and comfortable in the living room and on the awesome huge deck which we enjoyed so much. Check in was easy and Jesse provided all instructions and answered quickly to the few questions we had. The basement was so cool with the Purdue scoreboard and cornhole. It was great location near campus, Chauncey Village and downtown Lafayette. We stayed for our daughter's graduation, my only regret is not finding Jesse's house sooner! We would love to return for future football weekends! Thank you Jesse!
Several father’s of sons at Purdue University stayed the weekend for Dad’s Day. We had a terrific weekend & the home was terrific - exactly as advertised/described. Thanks for the hospitality.
Listing says it has a king bed which is one of the reasons we rented it (my husband is 6'6" and we sleep better in a bigger bed). Unfortunately, listing is NOT ACCURATE. There is no king (not a crisis but I do expect to get what is advertised). Thin summer blankets with only one small throw as extra for whole house. Stiff plastic mattress cover right under the fitted sheet crinkled every time you moved. Super perfumy smell in bedroom gave me bad headache until I found the plug-in air freshener behind the curtain in my bedroom.
Bathrooms: In the basement, the toilet requires you step up 18 inches into enclosure and the ceiling is shorter than my son which was uncomfortable, especially in the dark. That toilet runs, and sometimes leaks. Upstairs, had to take the full toilet paper off the roll to sit on the toilet as it overlapped the seat. The soap pump didn't work in one bathroom. Trash and abandoned items were in vanity.
Outside porch light didn’t work – very dark entry at night. TV remotes all had dead batteries. Icemaker didn't work in fridge, water dispenser only dribbled. Bought food we couldn't cook because oven doesn't work. Kitchen pans have damaged non-stick coating (unhealthy to use) and utensils look like they came from a garage sale. 1 kitchen towel, 1 hand towel in each bathroom, no spares.
A lot of things made it feel like this was set up as economically as possible and is not being maintained. Have stayed in lots of properties and would not return here.
Would recommend this house to anyone who visits West Lafayette. It has a great location for getting to Purdue campus. We were there for our daughter’s graduation with both sets of grandparents and had plenty of room for all of us. House was clean and kitchen was furnished with all cooking supplies we needed. Would book again if in the area.
The property was perfect for our friend weekend. The accommodations were clean and we particularly appreciated that each guest had their own comfortable bed. We didn’t get to enjoy the back deck due to weather, but it looked great and matched the description.
In town to visit daughter at school. Home was perfect location to campus and shopping. Pictures and description from website matched the home. Will stay here again at our next visit. Thanks
