Construction Nightmare!!!!

I have been visiting this island since 1974. This was close to my 100th visit. Never have I had to deal with Construction NoIsE in the space directly next door. The first week it was constant from 8:30a-4p, making the apartment uninhabitable during that time. Then the next week it was quieter, but still going on for the remainder of my stay. The owner claimed not to know, or that it was supposed to have been completed before my stay. Not a real great explanation, but the only one that was offered. I do look forward to a Partial Refund

Seclusion and Tranquility

This is the place to go when you need to get away from the madness of the outside world. Steps from the ocean and nearly always empty 3-mile pink sand beach.

Spectacular Beachfront Jewel

What an amazing property!! We absolutely loved everything about this area, condo, and host. The sunrise views and beach were simply spectacular and the host was wonderful to work with.

New years break

We decided to bring our family for New Years !!! We made the right choice !!! This property has direct access from patio to a precious 5 mile beach !!! The staff that operate this property are very friendly, polite . The lead coordinator Shanta will make it all happen from daily housekeeping to dinners . The end result is I would come back and have booked again for future dates !!! Thank you team !!!

No Betta Beach!

Owner was able to accommodate our last-minute rental and we were not disappointed. The location is amazing. This was our first time on Windemere and will definitely come back. The stunning beach is right out the back door and merely steps from the water and phenomenal pink sand beach. The beach is great for walking with a nice hard pack pink sand for miles. The 'apartments' provide an abundance of beach lounge chairs making use of the beach very convenient. No expense was spared in decorating and furnishing the unit. Very cute decor and everything we needed was supplied including towels, cooler, etc. We loved our stay!

Windermere is a special pace for us, and glad we could fit in a quick trip down to the Bahamas over fourth of July. Appreciate the flexibility as our schedule changed!

Beautiful beach

We visited this apartment on Windemere Island over Easter break and fell in love with the area. We will definitely return. The only thing that would have made the trip better was if the owner was a member of the club on site. But that would not prevent me frim returning ti the property.

Good time

Nice place , just as advertised. Would be nice to have some direction to property though. I had a basic idea of location because I always use google earth to look at reefs near where we stay. With that said Windermere is one road so pretty hard to get lost. The only complaint we had was the house was supposed to be unlocked, upon arrival it was still locked , we had to wait about 25 minutes for someone to show up and let us in . Not the end of the world but after traveling the better part of the day , we didn’t feel like standing around and waiting. To close , and my suggestions , a little better communication on the property managers side and some instructions on what you need to do or not when leaving. Overall it was a good trip and I would not let these little details stop me from staying there again. Jk

Great Spot on Windermere Island

We spent 6 days in the apartment with another couple. Apartment is right on the beach, has fabulous views of the beach and water, a workable kitchen and bathrooms, etc. Only downer was the patio. Two rusty chairs and a rusty table wasn’t adequate for two couples. Surrounding apartments had updated outdoor soft-seating and we were jealous!

Hidden Gem Apartment and Island

If you desire a peaceful, private getaway, on a quiet, unpopulated island of paradise, this is exactly what Windermere Island provides. From the moment you pass through the security booth and gate and drive across the one lane bridge, you will not look back. Palm tree lined roads and beautiful houses, I ran this road one morning, from one end of the island to the other, amazing. The 2 bedroom apartment is in a small, quiet building, we never heard our neighbors, except to say hi. Comfortable beds and fully stocked kitchen for cooking and meal prep. The screen door is 50 feet from the sand and another 50 feet from the water, we were almost speechless enjoying our coffee on the patio with the sunrise. Walking on the powdered sugar sand for 5 miles might result in seeing 3 people, this is a hidden gem. The bay side of the island has a nice area called West Beach for sunsets, walk or take the bikes from the apartment. Local grocery stores and a local bar/restaurant were fun excursions, ten min drive. We swam and snorkeled right off the beach. The apartment has a set of comfortable beach chairs for lounging, which we pulled to the waters edge each day. Flowers and pristine tennis courts complete this property, we were so content, we made our own meals and cocktails and enjoyed the slow pace for a few days, not enough days, we will be back! Owner is great with communication and local contact LaShanta was very helpful. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Windermere apartment

This apartment has everything you need. It was clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable and it has air conditioning, which made a big difference as we had some very warm weather. The hot water for the kitchen sink kept on cutting out, but that was a small inconvenience. Overall it is a great property and good proximity to other amenities.
