With beautiful panoramic views and the soothing sounds of crashing waves, this beautiful oceanfront property boasts some of the best views on the island. Located on the untouched east coast with the Caribbean trade winds providing a beautiful breeze. The verandah overlooking the ocean on the upper level is ideal for enjoying the splendid view of the pool. A perfect setting for sipping cocktails and enjoying the moonlight in the evenings.

The master bedroom located on the main floor has a queen size bed as well as air conditioning, but you may enjoy sleeping with the patio doors open while falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the crashing waves. The other 4 ensuite bedrooms, 3 of which have balconies are located on the second floor. One large guestroom upstairs is also equipped with air conditioning. All of the rooms have ceiling fans, and the house can sleep up to 10 people comfortably.
The beautiful patio overlooks the infinity pool, large gardens and expansive ocean view.

In a family-friendly neighborhood, the villa boasts a large deck perfect for lounging and entertaining.

Great Villa

This villa was exactly as described. You definitely need a rental car. Bert, the manager, was great. The pool was dirty and having issues but he immediately responded once we let him know and worked on it. Would stay here again!!

Beautiful views

The house has beautiful views. The property manager was responsible and helpful. Ms Jackies bar accross the street was great. The locals and the farm next door was a plus. Listening to the cows was an unexpected pleasure. The house is not in a tourist area so we had difficulty with transportation and getting groceries. I would recommend renting a car if you plan on seeing the island not just the house.

Great but very out of the way

Lovely place to get away from it all, but just know that getting to much of anything is 30-60 minutes of travel. It's a great property but just keep that in mind if you plan on going places every day.

Views and Ocean Breeze

Views from the pools an decks were the highlight of the property along with great support from the owner during booking answering numerous questions before arrival, from Bert (property manager) during our stay who even brought us a brand new blender after we mentioned we didn't see one in the kitchen and from Jackie across the street who cooked us a wonderful birthday dinner. The constant breezes through the ocean front rooms made nights comfortable and bug free during our stay. Heavy Sargassum (seaweed) on the NE and SE beaches was disappointing since normally stunning Bottom Bay and Crane would have been convenient destination points from this location. Beaches were clear from Rockley westward (about 35minutes). All of the Caribbean is dealing with this... If looking for calming beautiful views away from the crowds, monkeys in the trees and an occasional stray cow in your backyard then this is the place for you!

Lovely house

We had the pleasure of staying in a lovely home overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. It is important to note that this particular part of the island has limited options for beaches suitable for day-long visits. As a result, we had to drive for 30-50 minutes each day. Regarding the property itself, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. However, we did have a few suggestions that would make it even better. Firstly, we found that the stationary BBQ is located in an unlit part of the backyard, making it challenging to use after dark. Installing a lamp would be a wonderful solution. Secondly, we discovered that all the knives in the house were extremely blunt and that the sharpener was not functional. Lastly, we experienced an almost day-long interruption of gas service due to unforeseen issues. Moreover, we found that the air conditioners were not functioning properly. While this was not a significant issue in the ocean-front bedrooms, it was uncomfortably hot to sleep in the other rooms. Overall, we appreciated the opportunity to stay in such a beautiful home and provide feedback to improve future guests' experiences. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great Place

A great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the island. Very quiet all you hear is the waves crashing just what we wanted. Shout out to Bert who was an outstanding host. Would definitely rent again.

Wonderful villa with spectacular views

Orion’s View is a wonderful villa with a spectacular view! We rented it for a special birthday celebration vacation and had 4 friends and family join us. It was a perfect size for the 6 of us. The setting was so peaceful with the beautiful views, ocean breeze, great ocean view balconies and spacious 1st and 2nd floor outside terraces. The villa is in a more rural area of Barbados which was perfect for our quiet getaway. It was still easy to walk or drive where we needed so we didn’t feel isolated. The farm next door provided great entertainment and I never thought I would say this, but I already miss the sound of mooing cows. The owner Kevin was very nice to communicate with. The property manager Bert is a great guy and he took care of all of our needs and made our stay very comfortable. Jackie who owns Jackie’s Bar and Grill across from the Villa, made us an authentic Bajan birthday dinner. She was so kind, her food was delicious and we were able to buy extra supplies from her. We cooked a lot of meals and the kitchen mostly had what we needed. There is a Dollar Wise store not far away to buy minor items and the grocery store was equally convenient for food and such. The pool was not heated but refreshing in the warm sun. We were prepared with bug spray for the mosquitos and they weren’t that bad. We visited The Crane Resort nearby for a couple lunches by the pool overlooking the cliffs and that was a nice place to walk around to see something different. We also went to the Crane Beach, the public side, and enjoyed an afternoon in the sand with coconut drinks. Overall we would highly recommend Orion’s View Villa and we hope to go back again in the future. Thank you Kevin, Bert and Jackie!!

Great home with amazing views

My wife and I loved staying here. The owner Kevin and Property manager Burt made the experience easy and enjoyable. The house is massive and the property great for relaxing after exploring the island. Crane beach was a short drive away and was probably our favorite beach on the island. Highly recommend this property.

Family vacation 2021

Beautiful view! We were quarantined longer than expected, 2 recvd test back in 24 hours the rest of us after numerous phone calls we recvd them 3 days later. Thanks to Jackie for making us dinners and to Bert for picking up some staples from the grocery store. They were life savers while in quarantine. Being quarantined with the view and the pool was fine for me. Loved being off the beaten path.

Excellent stay

This is a lovely property which appears exactly as in the photos, which is usually not the case with other properties. It is very spacious with comfortable furnishings and eye catching decor. Wonderful stay at Orion's View

We had a wonderful time at Orion's View during a 2 week stay. The view was beautiful. It was so nice to get up in the morning to the sound of the waves and wonderful east breezes. The house is very large, plenty of space for my husband and I and our 2 guests. We also loved Jackie's delicious local bajan cooking. She is right across the street and will make dinner for you...a great house but also in a local neighborhood, just what we love about Barbados!

Weeklong birthday trip

We stayed six nights at Orion’s View. The property was lovely, with the exception being the mosquitoes were out of control! No matter how much DEET spray we used, some of us were eaten alive. We did ask the house manager (Bert) about mosquito netting for the beds, as there are hooks above each bed, and he said that people took them down as it made the beds too hot to sleep. Would have been nice to have the option, but we mostly survived. One of our friends checked out and went to the crane for the last two nights of our stay. Pool was lovely and refreshing, and we spent a lot of time in it. Kitchen is well equipped, we were able to find everything we needed to create meals. Though if you didn’t feel like cooking, Jackie across the street is available. Owner, Kevin, is responsive to emails and made the process so simple. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous home with us. We plan to return!

Beautiful East Coast

As other reviewers have noted, transportation (taxi, rental car or bus) will be required. Bert (the house manager) greeted us at the airport, there was a bit of confusion regarding our pick-up and our transport to the rental, but once sorted it was all ok. Bert waited at Grocery store with us which was perfect. The property is as advertised. It's in a quiet, rural residential setting, approx 20 minutes drive from the airport. Upon entering the front door, a clear view to the back patio and the ocean greet you. The house is quite large- more than enough space for our group of 4. The 5 bedrooms, all with en-suite baths and all but 1 bedroom have their own terrace; as stated only 2 of the bedrooms have air conditioning (as of the time of this review). We found the decor in many of the rooms (including bedrooms) to be a bit worn and understated, but the rental appeared clean and organized. We found the bed small with very basic bedding. In the master, the jacuzzi was not working at the time we visited. If that is important to you, you may wish to inquire to see if it has been repaired. The local swim at a nearby beach but the surf is quite rough. Along the East-facing coast, there is a constant, warm breeze and the views from house, spectacular. We enjoyed the bluetooth for music and many meals on the terrace. We also spent time enjoying the pool and adjoining patio. The pool appeared clean, it is deep and refreshing. The patio is large needs, but a group larger than 4 might find 4 lounge chairs insufficient. The patio furniture and coushins, we thought, could stand to be freshened/replaced. There are 2 beautiful wicker lounge chairs on a second floor terrace, one of which we moved down to the main patio. We thought that the rental could use more patio furniture of that caliber and some greenery (perhaps potted planting) to make it a bit more inviting and provide privacy. The kitchen is well equipped. The appliances were all in good working order. For those who really love coffee, you will find a full-sized, drip coffee-maker and you will also find a regular-size blender (no coffee bean grinder, so purchase it ground). If you want to pay for daily cleaning services check with Kevin to arrange as he was very receptive to our request. Thank-you Kevin. Bert was always available if we needed anything- Just a phone call away.The owner was responsive and checked in with us part-way through our stay. Overall, very enjoyable 4.5 stars

Orion’s View is a fantastic property

Orion’s View is in the top 3 of VRBO rentals that I have used over the past years. The property has everything needed to provide a relaxing vacation in paradise. The villa is very clean, and Bert is there to ensure things run smoothly. Kevin was extremely easy to work with, and provided many tips as to things to do and places not to be missed. I was able to get a rental car via Mark, that was almost brand new, for less than any of the big rental companies. Jackie’s restaurant is across the street, and can provide a home cooked meal, far cheaper than any of the local restaurants. The view from the pool and veranda area of the rocky coast and blue waters is simply fantastic and over whelming. Many photo’s were taken from this area. The breeze coming through the bedroom doors negated the red for any air conditioning. The wifi worked well throughout the villa, and the ability to use the house phone for Stateside calls is also a plus. I just can’t say enough about how pleased everyone was with this property.

Absolutely wonderful, peaceful and relaxing

Had a wonderful stay in this very clean, marvelous villa. The views are stunning, the home is perfect, and the locals are top notch. Would highly recommend this villa to any group or large family. Got to know the local area on foot as well as navigating the roads in Barbados. Loved having the privacy away from the craziness of the cities, and only a short drive to pick up amazing food, fresh fruit and local cuisine. Every day a glorious ocean breeze came through our balcony doors and windows. Truly loved the local animals that entertained our morning coffee. From goats, cows and monkeys it was always a surprise as to what we could watch over breakfast.

Amazing property!

Beautiful but needed cleaning

Let me start out by saying, I know Barbados! My family is from Barbados and I lived there for 3 months at one time. The property was wonderful, the neighborhood was fantastic. Long walks, friendly people, gym right down the road, Jackies across the road is very sweet and provided a wonderful Christmas dinner, and a very relaxing feel. The ocean breeze was amazing. Nothing is close for grabbing something to eat or going to the store. However, this place should be a 4 star. Here's why it's not: The kitchen was almost inoperable. Kitchen isn't very clean, old food in all the cabinets and dirty rags made me sick to my stomach. Appliances didn't work and dirty. pots and pans were so old and badly scratched you couldn't use them for fear of getting sick. The bedrooms were nice. There weren't enough bath towels for 10 people and no soap for showering. These things you'll need to purchase. If you're arriving late, it's a challenge. Also, DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM BERT. Bert is a nice person, but his partner in the car rental is a very nasty and dishonest person. There was so much drama with those two!!! I hope that things can get cleaned up because I would not recommend this place to a friend.

Awesome Property

We had a group of 9 people. This villa is spacious and quiet. The ocean views are spectacular and each bedroom has its own semi private deck. The locals are incredibly polite and welcoming. We highly recommend this property and if we return, we would certainly rent Orien's View again.

Perfect Stay!

Let me start by saying I don't normally offer feedback for any site but I felt the need to acknowledge how great this property really is. I have worked in the hospitality industry my entire life and have been fortunate to travel to several places all round the world but this is one of the most picturesque places I have ever seen. As nice as the pictures are in the listing, they do not do the views justice. The property is clean, quiet and most importantly, safe. The house is huge and is very comfortable whether you have a large or small group. Jackie across the street offers great meals at very reasonable prices. I think the best part about this property for our group was the privacy. Having the pool to use while overlooking the ocean was priceless. Everything is so close on the island that you can pretty much get anywhere on the island within a 45 minute drive. Finally, thank you to Kevin and Bert for taking care of us. You will not find nicer people to deal with. There are many options when travelling but we will return to Orion's View again.

Fabulous House!

We had 8 people staying at this house in January of 2016. It was a great house with everything you need. The kitchen was fully equipped and even had satellite tv. We were fortunate enough to stay in the master suite, which was air conditioned. The master suite is huge with a massive bathroom. My only suggestion would be to have air conditioning throughout the house. There are great breezes, however it is a bit stuffy. The house is on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean and the view are awesome. The other rooms are also very comfortable with bathrooms attached to each room. The area is very quiet and friendly. Jackie's Bar across the road is the absolute best for food. We ordered from her three times. The food is so delicious, so easy and convenient and so tasty. The prices are extremely affordable. I would definitely recommend this property. Bert was also very accommodating and visited if there was a problem (the internet wasn't working one day). The owner, Kevin, also called while we were here to ensure everything was to our liking. We travelled about 40 minutes each day to "The Gap" and Dover Beach to surf. It is a bit farther out, but enjoyed the peace and quiet. I would highly recommend this house for couples or families that enjoy the quiet lifestyle.

Barbados is one of the nicest islands in the world. The Villa is very large and has one of the nicest views anybody could ever ask for. It's located in a quaint and quiet little area removed from the hustle and bustle. The villa is located about a 10 minute drive from the new Bushy Park Racing Circuit.

What makes this property unique

The property always seems to have a nice breeze. The view of the southeast coast and always has a big, beautiful surf. The villa has 5 verandahs that overlook the ocean. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. It's a wonderful area to just go for a walk to the lighthouse or a hike along the coast. Some of the nicest beaches in the Caribbean are very close by as well.
