Wonderful apartment, great location. Has it all!!

The owner of this property has been charming and helpful right from my first enquiry with him a number of months ago, and having booked it for our lovely family holiday, first time in Barbados, it did not disappoint. Thank you.Accommodation was spacious and comfortable, clean and wonderfully prepared on arrival. A thoughtful welcome pack..for which we were very grateful, and a convenience store next door to fill any gaps. Dover beach is a short walk away and lots of shops and eateries all around. It was easy to hire a car and have it dropped off at the apartments own car park.The weather was great and lovely to hear the ocean on a balmy evening whilst sitting out on the verandah.I thoroughly recommend.

Our stay at Mistle cove was perfect in every way! The apartment was beautiful inside and out Lovely to sit out on the front and your own little beach watching the turtles swim by. Lovely stay at 101 Mistle Cove

A very nice and clean apartment. Beautiful views over the ocean. Betty was very friendly and helpful with check-in and done a thorough clean midway our stay. I would definately recommend this apartment.

Just wonderful

Apartment is just wonderful. The building is so well situated on 'the strip' and yet so private with its own magical beach. The landscaping makes it feel like paradise with all of the green, the pool and the ocean just literally at your back door. Gorgeous master bedroom and very comfortable main living area with well stocked kitchen. We would love to return.

Great apartment, great location!

We spent 10 nights at this great apartment. The location is perfect for local bars and restaurants, convenience store and getting around the island. All things we needed were available in the apartment, great Wi-Fi, good tv and a well appointed kitchen. The air conditioning was great, we could hear the rolling waves at the front and didn’t hear anything from the st Lawrence gap side. This was the first time we have stayed in an apartment rather than a hotel in Barbados, it was perfect having a beach and swimming pool without the large crowds. We’ll be back for sure. Thanks to Nigel for making his apartment available.

Mesmerizing view

Wonderful stay at Nigel’s very comfortable and well equipped beachfront appointment. Arguably the best view in the block. Settle back on the terrace and watch the waves crash in and the hummingbirds feed from the tropical garden, magic! The Gap has everything you need, a well stocked convenience store adjacent to Mistle Cove and restaurants and bars to suit every budget. Mimosa next door was great, Sharkey’s always a favourite and fantastic pancakes at Happy Days Cafe. Enjoyed day trips to Flower Forest and Welchman Hall Gully. The Boatyard at Carlisle Bay is excellent value with a snorkelling trip included and the best beach was Batts Rock with a sensational lunch at La Cabane

Above & Beyond Expectations

This is a wonderful property in a fantastic area (which was constantly confirmed by the locals & taxi drivers). The area is perfect for exploring yet you are steps away from bars and restaurants and only a short walk to great beaches. There is also very little noise later at night even being so close to amenities. The property has an unbelievable view of the small cove and ocean where incredibly even the great photos on the website do not do it justice. The property is well appointed with quality furnishings & equipment and extremely spacious. Both bedrooms are more than adequate and although one is deemed to be an ensuite, the other one has a bathroom directly off the small hallway. The owner, Nigel, was superb with his communication for the two years we have been trying to get to Barbados and the apartment (COVID restrictions). We would not hesitate to go back to Barbados and also the apartment. The only issue is that we would have more people wanting to come!

Fabulous

From pre arrival to departure everything was brilliant. Communication excellent and the apartment was outstanding. We came for a rest and to share with friends/ family and we had the most wonderful time with lots of memories. Housekeeping was outstanding . The view from balcony is one to remember on those wet, cold English days. Thank you for a fabulous time.

Ideal vacation & work condo

I stayed at Mistle cove for 4 weeks where I worked and also took time to vacation and see the island. The accommodation was perfect for both, there were numerous places for me to set up my laptop and work. My favourite being on the balcony overlooking what can only be described as a postcard view. On the vacation front mistle cove is perfectly located in the gap where there are an array of great restaurants and places to grab a cocktail. MC also has parking spaces which makes hiring a car very easy. Also it is a very short walk away from bus stops which allows you to get to most of the popular places on the island ie holetown, bridgetown, oistins The host was very responsive and Betty the house keeper was helpful and available whenever needed. I couldn't recommend this accommodation highly enough I was actually sad leaving 101 had everything you need and was pleasantly suprised that there was also teabags, spices and all cooking utilities. Apart from the location the view from the balcony is the best feature of the condo

Great time!

Hi we'd attained last year in Sapphire because we thought the 'Gap' ould be 'noisy'. But it isn't! So Mistle Cove's the place to be - EVERYTHING is on the doorset- - 20 feet away from the Gap Stores which has almost everything you can want. The apartment itself is really 'high class' We like to cook in most evenings, and ar used to our kitchen at home. However there wasn't ANYTHING we have at home for cooking that isn't provided here.

Another great stay in paradise

This was our second stay at 101 Mistle Cove and we were once again delighted with the apartment. All three beds had new mattresses (compared to a year ago) and the beds were even more comfortable (especially the twins in the second bedroom). The place is still immaculate, with a beautiful layout that allows for an open, spacious feel. Being on the first floor is a real plus here; you have the impression you are on your own private beach. We had a couple of issues with little things that needed repair and the property manager's reactions were always extremely timely and efficient. Any time I needed anything at all, someone was available. The building was quite full, but the atmosphere was tranquil and relaxing. The other guests were all respectful and friendly. We rented a car this time because I had family elsewhere on the island and we thought it would be necessary in order to do things with them. But if that had not been the case, I really wouldn't have bothered. You can get everywhere so easily from here via walking, bus or simply hiring a taxi for a day trip (after negotiating a good bit first, of course!). The Gap is one of the best places to be on the island. A big thank you to the owner and team at 101 Mistle Cove for another successful vacation!

Fantastic Apartment

This apartment made our holiday! So well equipped and the views!!!! The location is brilliant. Just step outside to an ample amount of bars/restaurants etc both left and right. However this didn't impact on the quietness of the apartments. We even saw the turtles trying to lay eggs on the beach outside the apartments.

Absolutely perfect accommodation including the location

Having seen the photos and read previous reviews we had high expectations which I can say were exceeded. Every item in the apartment was high quality and in top class condition, including the balcony furniture. The building, gardens and pool are also very well maintained. Apartment 101 also has an enviable location with a view straight out to the very pretty beach, a nice place to go and sit and watch the turtles which were quite close to the shore. The apartment was kept in pristine condition, including linen changes, by the wonderful Phoebe. We also had regular contact from Carolina and everything from our arrival onwards ran really smoothly. We hired a car which was delivered to us, the rep came in to complete the paperwork and his first words when he looked out to the view was Wow! That says it all. We would most definitely stay here again, we've rented a lot of apartments / villas and this was right up there with the very best. You can sit on the balcony in perfect peace day or night or leave the building and right outside are plenty of bars and restaurants to keep you happy for a couple of weeks. We had the rear bedroom facing the car park and road and weren't disturbed by any noise whatsoever. All of our contact with Nigel was really easy and efficient, it was great to be able to pay in sterling, many thanks Nigel we had a fabulous holiday.

Absolutely Stunning Apartment, Beautifully Furnished, Has everything you need

We are a family of 4, two kids ages 11 and 13, and stayed at this stunning apartment for two weeks and it’s absolutely beautiful, has the most amazing view and was so well furnished and stocked with everything you can possibly need, including beach towels.The location is amazing, we saw turtles on the beach at night here and it’s right next to lots of lovely restaurants. Dover beach is next door where the kids had surfing and sailing lessons and rented boogie boards from Charles Watersports. Harlequin was our favourite restaurant locally and the Sunday buffet lunch at the Atlantis was amazing. We took lots of the ZR minivan buses which were great for getting around and hired a car for our second week. We spent a day on Tiamii Catamaran cruises, fishing with Bluefin, and the kids loved Alleynes Bay, Carlisle Bay for seeing the turtles and Mullins Beach was fun with the water inflatables where they made lots of friends! Thanks so much Nigel for letting us stay here. The apartment is huge,so much space for us all, we’ve had an amazing time, many thanks The Lowe’s

My name is Nigel Warrilow and I am the owner of this wonderful apartment in Mistle Cove, Barbados. I first came to Barbados on holiday as a young teenager with my parents and brother and and we all fell in love with the island.
I am now lucky enough to be semi-retired, having formerly been an avionics technician in the RAF and latterly a director of a UK audio-visual integration business. It has been a dream fulfilled to own a property in Barbados and I currently split my time between Longcross in Surrey and Barbados.
Over the years on holidays and more recently living here, I have gathered lots of local knowledge regarding the best places to eat, explore, visit, shop, cycle, hike, fish and kitesurf, which I am always happy to share with my guests!
I try to ensure that my family, friends and all my guests have as much enjoyment here at Mistle Cove that I also have. It truly is a little taste of paradise.

Why they chose this property

The location is great!
It is hard to adequately describe in words or photos just how wonderful the view is from the patio.
The apartment is spacious, light and breezy and well maintained with stylish, modern furniture. The master bedroom is particularly special as it has great views directly in to the garden the sea and patio doors opening on to the balcony.
It is professionally managed and I have an excellent housekeeper. Externally the property, gardens and pool are well maintained by the property managers, gardeners and specialist contractors.
I have spent many wonderful holidays here with family and friends enjoying the warm clear water, stunning evening sunsets and the occasional sighting of a turtle laying her eggs on Mistle Cove beach and baby turtles hatching.

What makes this property unique

The location of Mistle Cove is unique in many ways, it is a benchmark high-quality property on the South Coast ideally positioned close to, but not disturbed by the nightlife in the St Lawrence Gap.
The property consists of only 14 spacious apartments and is gated at the front and secluded, benefitting from an almost private beach and each unit has wonderful views over the private garden, beach and the ocean.
