Casa Do Capitao on houkutteleva kahden makuuhuoneen paritalohuvila, joka sijaitsee hiljaisen umpikujan lopussa pienessä Ferragudossa sijaitsevassa rakennuksessa ja josta on näkymät avoimelle maaseudulle näköalalla Monchiquen kukkuloille. Ferragudo on viehättävä vanha kalastajakylä, joka sijaitsee Aradejoen itäpuolella vastapäätä tunnettua Praia da Rochan lomakohdetta ja Portimão-kauppakaupunkia ja venesatamaa. Ferragudo tarjoaa kaiken rentouttavalle lomalle, ja sillä on historiallinen keskusaukio ja viehättävät mukulakivikadut. Kylä on erittäin hyvissä asemissa ostosmahdollisuuksien, golfin, tenniskentän, pehmeiden hiekkarantojen ja muiden mielenkiintoisten kohteiden ja aktiviteettien ajamiseen.

Huvilasta on päällystetty kävelytie, joka tarjoaa lyhyen matkan kylätielle kahviloiden, useiden ruokapaikkojen, myymälän ja kemian alle 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä. Muutaman minuutin matkan päässä kylästä on keskusaukio, josta löydät pankkiautomaatin sekä monia baareja ja ravintoloita. Praia Granden kaunis hiekkaranta on 10 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä.

Ostimme kiinteistön vuonna 2017 ja olemme jo tehneet joukon parannuksia. Molemmat kylpyhuoneet on kunnostettu kokonaan.
Alakerran kylpyhuoneessa on nyt suihkukaappi ja yläkerran kylpyhuoneessa on kylpyamme ja suihkukaappi. Molemmat makuuhuoneet on myös päivitetty uusilla erillisillä vuoteilla ja päämakuuhuoneessa on nyt super-king-vuode.

Kiinteistö on täysin aidattu ja aidatulla, ja sillä on suuri hyvin hoidettu ja kypsä puutarha. Etäisyydestä on kauniit näkymät Monchiquen kukkuloille. Huvilassa on kaunis sinisellä kaakeloidulla lämmitetty uima-allas.

Huvila on viehättävästi ja viihtyisästi sisustettu, ja siellä on joitakin vierailijoille tarkoitettuja lisävarusteita, kuten ilmastointi, uima-altaan lämmitys, langaton internetyhteys ja TV-vastaanotto, varustetut hyttysverkot ja sähköiset ikkunaluukut. Siellä on aurinkotuolit sateenvarjoineen ja ulkopöydät ja tuolit 6 hengelle. Olemme lisänneet myös perinteisen portugalilaisen bar-b-q: n.

Amazing property, great view, pool and location!

The property was in a great location, easy to get to and central to local shopping areas. The pool was very nice and well worth paying extra to have it heated for the kids. The homeowner (host) and property management staff were great to interact with.

The accommodation is beautifully situated, well equipped and leaves (almost) nothing to be desired. The beach with a nice restaurant/bar is only a few minutes away, as are the bars and restaurants in Ferragudo. You can shop in various large supermarkets in the neighboring town (maybe 10 minutes by car) We felt very comfortable. We felt very comfortable. However, I would recommend the landlord to replace some of the kitchen utensils (pots, pans, knives) once to make it perfect.We were there from 21.12.2024 to 03.01.2025. Gladly again.

July in Ferragudo

Myself, my wife and my daughter stayed in this beautiful villa for two weeks this July. I have given the villa a 5 star rating and it really is. The villa is beautifully decorated with every amenity you could possibly need when on holiday. The pool area and gardens are fabulous. All sun loungers and parasols are of the finest quality. The location is superb....a 10 min stroll to the town centre. If you're looking for a two bed villa with it's own pool close to Ferragudo town centre then look no further.

Absolutely perfect

From the moment we entered the villa we felt at home. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bedrooms are light and airy with comfy bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need. Outside is a lovely well kept garden and the swimming pool is the perfect size. Your 10 minutes walk from a lovely beach and great restaurants only 5 minutes away. Needless to say we will definitely return. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your lovely villa

Beautiful Quiet Villa

We had an amazing stay in this villa. Such a gorgeous setting with wonderful views of the countryside and so quiet. Within walking distance of town centre and beaches and lovely cliff top walks. The villa is clean and modern with comfortable beds and furniture. Bathrooms both modern and clean. Th gardens and pool area are absolutely stunning. We are keen gardeners ourselves and it was such a treat sitting and relaxing and enjoying the flowers and plants. Thanks Katy and Paul for letting us stay. Communication has been excellent. I hope we can stay again soon.

Fantastic holiday!

My wife, kids and I had a fabulous time staying at Casa do Capitão. The villa is perfect, it is beautiful and very tastefully decorated, has everything you could ever want and more. The highlight for us was the outdoor area, we spent most of our time there offering loads of room and is private with a great view. It is only a short walk to the town and two main beaches, so a hire car is not necessary. Thank you to Katy and Paul (owners), Nicola and Rosemary (villa managers), for making the whole experience seamless. We will definitely be back!

1. Great location 2. Walkable to many wonderful restaurants 3. Walkable to a small but well stocked grocery store. 4. Beautiful yard with great views 5. Pool is clean and easy to use. I recommend paying to have it heated. 6. The town is small, charming and not over run with tourists. 7. Unless your stay is short, you need a car. The only downside is the property is devoid of any kitchen food basics. No salt, not a single roll of paper towels, a roll of toilet paper, no pepper or basic spices. In other words, plan on an immediate grocery store trip to a well stocked store.

Beautiful villa, perfect location

We had a fabulous week in Ferragudo. The Villa is beautiful - spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated and in a lovely corner spot; not overlooked and it’s secure around the perimeter so we didn’t have to worry about the children getting out! The pool was great and there were some inflatables too - hours of fun for the kids. We considered hiring a car but didn’t need it in the end. It’s a short distance to the town / restaurants and only 15 mins’ walk to the beach. Ferragudo itself we found charming. It strikes a good balance between being unspoilt by tourists but still having everything you need (nice restaurants, a few good shops, boat tours etc). It was also a great experience communicating with the Villa managers, Rosemary and Nicola, who were on hand to help, and the owners, Paul and Katy, who gave us helpful advice, including the best local restaurants to try. The cleaning lady, Maria, was so friendly too. The lovely welcome and these personal touches were the icing on the cake - we hope to return!

Lovely place

A lovely property in the lovely coastal resort of Farragudo. Ideally positioned a short distance away from the main hub and beach. Pool was lovely. We found it was great value for money. The management of the check in was very professional. The opportunity to pre order some shopping was liked. The only downside from our side was that other than the limited shopping we pre-ordered there were no additional touches e.g. welcome wine, hand soap, extra loo rolls, kitchen roll etc. so found we had to go shopping on the first day anyway! Appreciate it is 'self catering' but we would have preferred to pay a little more and had the added touches. But minor point!

Great Holiday

The villa is tastefully decorated throughout, and spotlessly clean. The garden is beautiful and well maintained as is the pool and surrounding area. It must be said though the pool has no shallow end and is the one depth for the entire length, while not an issue for us it could be a consideration for someone with small children. It is around 5ft deep for the full length. The communication with the management company was good and Nicola was very helpful. The location is great and walking to the town is made easier by the footpath and the end of the row. there are a couple of restaurants at the bottom of the footpath within a 5 min walk from the property. We had a very pleasant stay, and enjoyed sitting the the garden in the evening. The BBQ in the garden is great.

Our Best Family Holiday Yet!

We've just returned from an amazing 2 weeks at Casa Do Capitao. The villa was spotlessly clean, well appointed and the beds were really comfortable. The garden and pool were also great - we paid extra to have the pool heated because it was early in the season and this was the right thing to do. The children spent hours in there! We decided not to hire a car and this worked out fine. We got taxi transfers from the airport, Ferragudo town centre is a short walk away and the beach is about 15 minutes walk. There are several small supermarkets in the town and the nearest big supermarket (Lidl) took about 30 minutes to walk to or we got an Uber. We found Uber was reliable and inexpensive for getting to nearby towns too. Ferragudo is a lovely town with lots of restaurants but without feeling too touristy. The beaches were large, sandy and not too busy (at Easter anyway). We definitely plan to return!

Absolut perfekt!

Wir können dieses Haus uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Es hatte schon mit einer Top-Vorbereitung und Kommunikation gestartet. Alles sehr freundlich und professionell. Paul und Katy waren mega, hatten den Pool vorgeheizt und Ausflugstipps gegeben, Selbst als wir schon einen Tag früher anreisen wollten, war das kein Problem. Auch vor Ort war die Betreuung durch Nicola einwandfrei. Wir haben selten ein so perfektes Haus bewohnt. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, die Betten sind richtig bequem und alles ist sehr neuwertig. Der Garten und der Pool sind groß und das Haus liegt am Ende einer Sackgasse und ist somit ruhig gelegen. Abseits gelegen fanden wir es überhaupt nicht, zu den Stränden sind es max. 10 Minuten zu Fuß und in die Altstadt max 5 Minuten. Das Haus ist perfekt um verschiedene Küstenorte und Strände zu entdecken und mit Kindern einfach unglaublich praktisch. Wir haben die Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Danke an Katy, Paul und Nicola!

Great experience!

We had a wonderful time at this house on our trip in December; it was very well equiped and furnished, and didn't lack of anything. The house felt very warm and welcoming. Our only issue was the pool's temperature. We had paid for it's heating, but since we were in the middle of winter, it wasn't set up high enough to be enjoyable. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Moradia excelente para umas boas férias. Bem equipada, bem mobilada, com espaços exteriores muito bem cuidados, bem situada com supermercado, padaria, restaurantes e outros serviços nas imediações, sem necessitar de se deslocar com a viatura. Excelente acompanhamento do gestor da propriedade, fornecendo todas as informações importantes e disponibilidade para esclarecer e resolver situações, sempre que foi necessário. A repetir a nossa experiência num futuro próximo!

Excellent Stay

This is a lovely very well maintained spacious property with fantastic outside space. The house is well equipped with everything that you need for a stay including a range of English TV channels. Located a short walk from the centre of the village and the beach. Loved our stay and would not hesitate to return should we visit Ferragudo again.

We have had the best week here. The villa and grounds are stunning. The location was perfect and although we’ve had a car you really don’t need one. The contact with the management company was excellent and it was a nice touch for Nicola to come and meet us. We would definitely stay here again!!

Loved it even more than last year.

A large, welcoming villa, set in beautiful grounds with an exceptionally outside space. We love all the recent renovations and personal touches and feel very much at home here. Great restaurants and a superb beach are all in walking distance. We are looking forward to visiting again.

We bought our lovely villa because of its location and garden. It's located in a very quiet corner of a small complex overlooking open countryside and onto the mountains, yet it’s an easy walk into town and to the beach. The large garden area is secluded and benefits from sun all day.
