Wonderful it is!!

We loved our stay in the cottage; we were there 4 days while visiting the Cotswolds. The cottage was centrally located to all the high points and Chipping Campden was a perfect place to begin. Chipping Campden has all you need for your stay including wonderful pubs and great shopping. The cottage gives you the warm authentic feel of an english cottage with all the modern conveniences . Becky was quick to respond with any questions. Only regret is we were not able to see the beautiful back garden in bloom as we were there in December.

Charming cottage

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The outdoor space was nice to have, the location absolutely perfect and the communication extremely easy. The only negative is that the stairs are a bit difficult to maneuver so I would think twice before staying here if you have mobility issues.

Chipping Campden Vacation

We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to stay. The cottage was quaint but with all of the modern amenities. Our host Becky responded to all of our questions immediately, gave us great advise and left wine, chocolate and milk in the fridge for us. The cottage was right in town. No need for a car and close to beautiful trails. An amazing time.

Fabulous property in Chipping Campden

A wonderful property in Chipping Campden and a great place to base in the area. This rental is immaculate, comfortable and well stocked. Check in was seamless and communication with the owner was great, they responded immediately to any questions we had. The photos do not do this property justice, it is beautiful inside and out, with two outdoor spaces to enjoy the beautiful garden. The location is perfect to explore the Cotswolds and visit other nearby sites. There is a grocery/coop a 3 minute walk away and countless restaurants and pubs within 5 minutes walk. We would highly recommend this property without any hesitation and we hope to stay again someday ourselves.

Beautiful cottage!!!

Perton Cottage was everything we hoped it would be! It was just the right size for our party and very comfortable. It was also located very close to the town center so an easy walk to shops, pubs and restaurants in Chipping Campden. Becky was very helpful as well. We would highly recommend this cottage! Picture perfect cottage

Perton Cottage is a picture-perfect period cottage, equip with modern conveniences. Wood beams, a cracking fire place, a Dutch door to the garden, beautiful slate floors, rest alongside cozy seating, central heating, a spacious kitchen and modern bathrooms with heated towels racks. Both bedrooms are lovely. The top floor master is equip with an en-suite and luxurious king, that can be divided into singles, and dual aspect windows. We were beyond comfortable. Centrally located in the historic market town of Chipping Campden, Perton Cottage was perfectly situated to explore historic sites and neighboring villages. Highly recommend The Eight Bells, The Bakers Arms, a stop into St. James Church and the neighboring arts & crafts museum for local history. Becky was the perfect host! Thank you Becky! Cheers!

Well furnished, great location

The cottage is small (sitting room, kitchen, two bedrooms, two baths) on three floors. It is well furnished (particularly the kitchen) and comfortable. It is quite close to the center of Chipping Campden. We enjoyed our stay there. The property owner was very attentive to our needs.

Fabulous Break

We had the best time at Perton Cottage. It was spotlessly clean and in the most fantastic location. We cooked in the cottage and the kitchen is really well equipped and immaculate. Parking was easy - right outside the front door. Comfy beds. Good WIFI. Will definitely be back.

Perfect Highstreet cottage in the best location in the Cotswolds

Great historic 17th century cottage on the High Street in one of the best villages in the Cotswolds. Cozy fireplace, surrounded by comfortable chairs are a great place to come back to after a day of exploring the area. Huxley and Michaels Mediterranean are great little restaurants within 2 minutes and the Eight Bells has all the pub atmosphere you could want. The location is a perfect base for exploring the AONB and beyond. Owner is the best rental owner I’ve ever stayed with. Can’t wait to come back 😀

Clean, cozy, and charming home!

You have picked the right place! It is absolutely adorable. On the first floor, as you walk in, there will be a stairway to your right and a living room to your left. Further back there is a kitchen and beyond that is a lovely garden. Go up the stairway and find a bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet and master bedroom with queen bed. Go up the stairway again and find another bedroom with two beds in it and a bathroom with a shower, sink, and toilet. The house heating is very effective and you will be very cozy. On warmer days, we opened all the windows and were very comfortable. The beds and furniture were very comfortable! The bed blankets and throw blankets were very nice. There were plenty of dishes, serving ware, and cooking equipment for me to make a full dinner for my family every night for the week we were there. You will find cheery decorations in every corner! Water pressure and water heat were very good. We slept very well each night, and I am a light sleeper, as it was very quiet due to the double-windows. You may wish to inquire about the availability of the fireplace and microwave, as they were not available when we were there. You will dry your clothing on a clothes-drying-rack. Communication with the owner Becky was excellent. We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely stay in Chipping Campden

We had a lovely time in Perton Cottage! The property was cute and charming and conveniently located within the town. Becky was a great host, even texting us earlier than the scheduled check-in time to let us know the property was ready. It was clean and well-equipped, and we would certainly return if given the chance.

Great cottage in a great place

We booked this cottage having never been to Chipping Campden before, and we were thrilled by both the cottage and the town. The cottage is at the end of the high street, so easy access to everything but not in the middle of the busy shops area. The cottage is beautifully appointed, very well equipped, including washer/dryer and dishwasher, which is unusual in my experience. Becky was a fabulous host, great communications and timely responses to questions. Highly recommended!

Lovely Chipping CAMPDEN

Weather was unseasonably cold for May. We really enjoyed the use of a real fireplace in this charming cottage. The location to town is a few minute walk. Everything was wonderful but musty smell on third floor kept me sleeping on second. Maybe all the rain this spring or just needed to be aired out. Even with the minor issue it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the Cotswolds.

Perton Cottage was perfect from the moment we arrived in Chipping Campden!

Location: So convenient to the many restaurants, pubs, shops, and public walking paths. We were traveling on public transportation and just had to walk up to the other end of High Street to catch the bus when we wanted to visit other villages. Cottage: So welcoming with bubbly and brownies (the most delicious in England) left for us. We appreciated the cleanliness, the linens, and the two bathrooms (however did they manage to add those bathrooms?). After shopping for local cheese and asparagus, we enjoyed making dinner in the cozy kitchen. Becky checked in with us after a day or so and sent over some kindling as we couldn't get that hardwood fire going.

I live in Stratford upon Avon so take personal responsibility for cleaning the cottage and making sure that it is all in perfect order for every guest.

Why they chose this property

I have copied here one of the reviews left by a guest and I think this says it all:
"We really enjoyed our stay at Perton Cottage, despite the cold weather! Our holiday was in late Feb, it was only 4 degrees outside when we arrived but the cottage was lovely and warm (the heating system is very efficient!) The cottage was well appointed and spotless. Both bedrooms are a good size. Becky had thought of everything....including a lovely homemade cake left for guests. The location is perfect, two mins walk and you're on the high street....we were spoilt for choice on the numerous high quality restaurants/pubs....and no driving required! Chipping Campden is a picture postcard Cotswold town, all the buildings are in keeping with the charming historic architecture. A walk up Dover's Hill (from the town) is highly recommended for panoramic views across the adjoining counties. Thank you for a lovely stay."
