House Right on the Potomac River - Great Sunrises & Sunsets

This Rivah House has 160 feet of water frontage on the Potomac River with shared pier. The rear of the house has 270 feet of water frontage on Gardner's Creek. Gardner's Creek is a protected body of water that will allow you to moor your jet-ski or boat overnight. You can use the community boat ramp to launch your watercraft.
All new kitchen appliances in October 2014.

A wonderful place to crab, fish or boat. Spectacular sunrises on the Potomac and sunsets on Gardner's Creek. Take a trip back in time when life was simple. Many sites to see within short distances. Coles Point is located in Westmoreland County in the Historic Northern Neck of Virginia.

Wonderful time!

This place is amazing for a large family getaway! Pet friendly and kid friendly. There isn’t too much around the area, but having access to a pool, the boats and canoes, fishing/crabbing supplies, and the large living area made this perfect for our trip. Multiple rooms, multiple couches and multiple areas to play board games. Definitely worth a second trip and the owner (Tom) made everything incredibly easy Thank you again for letting us use your lovely home!

Outstanding property

We had a wonderful family gathering. The views are amazing. We had a large family get together for the week. The house has plenty of space for everyone. The owners are the best. They are super easy to talk with and they make sure everything is to your liking.

Family vacation

Wonderful property for a family vacation. The home has the Potomac River on one side with beautiful sunrises, with the Gardner Creek on the other side with sunsets and an above ground pool on the side. There was plenty of space in the home for the entire family to be together or to have some alone time. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchenware, pots and pans. There were plenty of towels and blankets. We loved our stay and will be back someday. Thank you Tom and Debbie.

Family Fun!

We had a wonderful time...the house was spacious with ample room for all 14 of us ages 7 through 67! It had a fully stocked kitchen (the best we've ever seen)& special touches like a welcome basket & soaps were appreciated. The boats, pool, paddleboard & game table provided hours of fun! We took our own boat out & the ramp was easily accessible. We loved the firepit & quiet enjoyment inside & outside the house. A lot of fishing & crabbing...fun all around for all! We'll be back from NY, PA & CA!

Beau River Stay

We REALLY enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very accommodating and the amenities were great. We had 4 teenagers and 6 adults and everyone had the space they needed to relax and have fun. The pool provided a nice place to cool off and the views of both the sunrises and sunsets were spectacular. There were plenty of options for people to get out on the water on the creek side and the access on the river was just as nice.

A real find

Beau Rêver was the perfect spot for a week with our children and grandchildren. Tom is the most attentive host that I have ever dealt with; patient with my many questions and prompt to respond. Whereas some rentals have the feel of being furnished and stocked with the discards from the host's primary residence, his is tastefully decorated, clean and very welcoming. We sensed by the many amenities that his sincere goal is to provide families with a venue to spend quality time together, creating life long memories. We hope to return in the future.

Family vacation

We loved the property! The views were spectacular. The house is positioned between two bodies of water so we got to see daily sunrises and sunsets. Everything imaginable was provided! The kids especially enjoyed fishing off the dock and crabbing. The pool was a great bonus since it was extremely hot during our stay. I highly recommend this property. You won’t be disappointed. The owner was quick to respond to all of our questions.

Beautiful Home and Location

We have been renting homes through VRBO/HomeAway for years and Beau Rever is now one of our favorites and we hope to return next year. The property surrounded by water is beautiful, as is the home's decor. The home was very clean, the beds and pillows are very comfortable, and the kitchen is fully stocked. We spent most of the week at the house enjoying the pool and beautiful sunsets. Tom was wonderful to work with, very friendly, and quick to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend Beau Rever!

Best venue for a relaxing family gathering

This is our second time renting Tom and his wife’s property to gather our three generations of family together for my father’s 88th birthday. The home is great for the elders as it’s a one level and also perfectly equipped for crabbing, boating, swimming and relaxing to watch the sunset. The rooms and pull outs are enough to give everyone space and for the kid cousins to do slumber parties. The kitchen has everything and there was even a very sweet note and gift from these super hosts. We will hopefully get a chance to come again!

Already thinking about next summer!

Three generations of us - and seven different houses in seven years of vacationing together - we may have finally found the one we return to each summer! We had a great time enjoying the kayaking, paddle board and motorboat. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing - and even cooked up a few crabs to eat! The kids loved finding rocks and shells on the little beach area (river-side) and we all thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The house itself was spacious and welcoming, and great for everyone to have common areas to gather, but also sneak away for some peace and quiet when needed. Many thanks to Tom and Debbie, who were great hosts!

Family Gathering

We greatly appreciated the one floor living (two family members have mobility concerns - a residence without stairs was very helpful), ample seating, well supplied kitchen, convenient pool and beautiful views - what a great place for our family vacation and place to celebrate an 80th birthday! The pool was a hit - especially with our youngest members. We ended up catching 11 blue crabs - obtained more from a local supplier and enjoyed a feast! The Osprey, Herons and Eagles were beautiful to watch from property. Tom and Debbie checked in with us to make sure everything was in order - they addressed any questions that arose - we would rent from them again!

Great Location & Amenities, House Could Use Some Updating

First off -- the positives: We loved the location. We loved the pool. Tom was great and very responsive. We loved all the amenities, games, boats, canoes, kayak, and paddleboard -- it provided us with endless fun on the water. Overall, we had a lovely vacation with our family (2 adults, 2 little kids) & friends (2 adults, 1 kid). A few downsides: The house could use some freshening up in places. There were ants in the front entrance area, a good number of flies around the house, and we had to tend to some leaking issues during a very heavy rainstorm that came through the area during our stay. Overall, the location is 5 stars, the house itself is 3 considering the price. Overall: 4 stars.

Amazing!!!!!

We had so much to do that we legit ran out of time going to bed weary from the fun!! So peaceful and rejuvenating of the spirit! The house has everything you need including crab pots to steam ALL the crabs you can catch everyday! We bought string and used chicken necks and couldn’t keep up with them! Out front we caught Skate, catfish and eel. The eel we put in the two crab traps provided by the owners! We took the drive to Kings Dominion and enjoyed the day! We also took our boat out and enjoyed watching 100’s of Dolphins traveling so beautifully through the water! We enjoyed the second fridge for storage and the cleanliness! Games galore! No time to play them all! Owners were lovely and attentive! Can’t say enough…thanks for everything!

Wonderful vacation home for family reunion!

We stayed at Beau Rever the week of 4th of July 2018 and had a wonderful time! We had 2 1/2 families (10 people) and everyone was happy with the house and all of its amenities! We all had plenty of family time and alone time. We fished, crabbed, kayaked, went on the paddle boat, swam/floated in the pool, cooked on the grill and in the kitchen. When I contacted Tom to tell him that one of the pedals on the paddle boat was broken, he and his wife drove 2 hours the next day to bring us a brand new paddle boat, so that we could have it to enjoy during our vacation. We laid in the hammock, reclined on the comfy couches and all took turns in the awesome massage chair! The beds and pillows were comfortable and the house was very clean. The owners were very personable and easy to work with. We arrived to an awesome welcome basket and they gave us great recommendations for restaurants and touristy points of interest. We all loved playing pool and board/card games in the game room. We loved the sunrises over the river and sunsets over the creek. I highly recommend this property to everyone! We had an amazing week!

Sister Vacation

The property and home was amazing. The Potomac River joining the mouth of Chesapeake Bay right in front and the Creek behind the house. Everywhere you looked you can see water. The house included all the possible amenities you could imagine. Tom put all the information you needed in easy to use binders so there was no searching for anything. The cable happen to be out when we got to the home. I called Tom he immediately had the cable company come out to fix it. We also needed Beach size umbrellas but could only find one and a broken one. Tom drove to the house with two new umbrellas and stands for them. The location was perfect for our dream family vacation, plenty of activities for our large group to join in on. Plenty of space for family to reconnect and share stories and remembrances. We kayaked, paddle boarded, caught lots of crabs, fished and relaxed in the beautiful new out ground pool. We were able to watch the bald eagles, the ospreys a pod of dolphins. At night the sky was filled with stars and you could catch the breeze off the bay. If you want to experience the Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay this is the place. Before we left our group was already planning our return. Outstanding

Scammed

We could not get in the river or bay because of the jelly fish never mentioned in the listing. The owner charged us for a broken chair that was broken when we arrived and he charged us for extra cleaning of dirty blankets. Even though I disputed the charge VRBO would not help me. They never even responded. I'm done with VRBO.

Summer stay

We completely enjoyed our first-time stay in this beautiful and well-stocked house. The owner is very thoughtful. We kayaked every day and enjoyed the pool, as well as excursions around the area. We ate all our meals at home except one, and do recommend the Art of Coffee in Montrose, as well as the Generals Ridge Vineyard.

Awesome place for families!

My family and I absolutely loved the property. It was exactly as described in the listing. In addition, the owner was very responsive when we reached out. The kitchen was completely stocked with everything you would need from spices to the biggest crab pot. There’s plenty of room for large families and friends alike. The only problem was Starbucks was 45 min away, however they did have a keurig and coffee pot for those non purists like me.

Large, comfortable house in a beautiful but remote spot

This is a beautiful spot between the Potomac and a large cove, with views of both from the house. Plenty of room both inside and out. Well-equipped kitchen. We appreciated the many watercraft for exploring the cove area, even in November. Tom, the owner, answered our questions promptly and left useful information on the area. Even the neighbors were friendly. Only real downside is that there is not much else to do nearby, especially off-season. But for a family or other event with an outdoor focus, it's a great place.

Wonderful VA Getaway

Tom's house was better than expected! The pictures do not do the house or view justice. We had a large group (5 families, 19 total people) and were never out of places to congregate and not feel crowded. Every item you could imagine was provided in the kitchen. And of course the views were breathtaking from every angle.

What a great week

We came here as a family in time of COVID. Tom is a gracious host. He goes above and beyond offering more than expected. We felt as if we were at home, and if we could have stayed longer we would have. I highly commend this property and hope to come back one day. Thank you for a very much memorable family vacation.

SUPERB vacation!

We had the best time here in June! Tom and Debbie were a joy to deal with. Seeing is really believing with this property and location! Their home is tastefully decorated and a great use of space. The beds and linens were super comfortable and we had everything and more we could have needed in the kitchen. We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the pool and all the creek water toys to include, paddle board, kayak and small motor boat. We fished, caught crabs (with crab pots provided for us) and grilled out most nights on the large grill. We enjoyed several winery visits in the area and our favorite place to eat out was The Tavern at Coles Point - great location! This will go down in the books as one of our favorite vacations. Thanks Tom and Debbie!
