Home from home. Perfect location. 😊
We were two families who enjoy a break away. The house was perfect for us. Everything you need is available to hand with extras that you don’t normally have in a rental. But the location sells it! A beautiful view of the sea in a peaceful spot. We will definitely visit again.

Beautiful property
We had an excllent holiday in Aberdovey. The area is a favourite of ours, with annual visits; however, this was our first stay at High Mead. The house is very comfortable, in very good condition, with all comforts catered for. It feels more like a home than a holiday let, with lots of personal touches (including a well stocked kitchen - was a pleasure to cook in) which made it vey easy to relax. The children loved the garden, the adults loved the outside patio spaced and the gorgeous views, and we hope to visit again very soon. Thank you for your hospitality.

Lovely Stay
We booked High Mead on the spare of the moment, and certainly glad we did. The location is perfect for walks into the village or onto the beach, and the views of the sea we theory enjoyed of an evening and in the morning.
The stay was easy and hassle-free, with the property being well equipt. We were a family of 3 adults, 2 children and 1 dog. The house worked well, and the swings in the enclosed garden were great for the children (and me).
Would definitely stay again.

Conveniently situated family house.
This is an excellent base for Aberdovey & surrounds as it is about 10mins from the beach (quite steep uphill on the way back) & an easy 10min walk into town. The house has plenty of garden around it, which gives the outside a generous feel. Inside & out there are fabulous views of the estuary & beyond.. It is well-equipped, clean & well-maintained, with a good bathroom & comfortable beds (one room with 4 singles). It was easy & straightforward to deal with Robert, the owner. Great base for hill & beach walking; will aim to stay again.

Great Place!!
High Mead has amazing views and we enjoyed our stay immensely! The house is spacious and a true 'home from home'. We were very lucky with the weather as we stayed on 7th and 8th April and were even able to sit out on the lovely patjo with the gorgeous view of the sea. Just wish our stay had been longer! Would definitely go back!

Home from home
Not long back home from our third visit to this beautiful house. It really does feel like home from home as soon as you step into the large hallway. The views are stunning and the owners supply you with everything you could possibly need. Loved the addition of the new double bed, very comfortable as was the new sofa. The weather wasn't as good this year but when you have such a fantastic place to come back to at the end of your day you don't care. Love it and would happily stay permanently. Can't wait for our forth stay. Catharine, Jayne, Alfie and Maisie.

First class location and very homely house
We've stayed in Aberdovey a number of times now and so we picked this house carefully. Big benefits for us were the ample parking (very rare in Aberdovey), spacious house (two teenage boys), garden (doggies) and ease of walking to the beach. The amazing view from the terrace was just the icing on the cake. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. The owners have been consistently responsive to our communication both pre and post our stay and when the washing machine was broken two weeks before we stayed there, they worked hard to get it fixed quickly. A lovely relaxing week in an excellent location - we will certainly be back again before too long.

Lovely detached cottage with grounds
We loved it there. Hannah, 9, loved the garden and swing, she was in her element. The kitchen was well stocked so no looking for a corkscrew and realising there isn't one. We had a great time and even managed to walk up the hill most days, it got better as the week went on.
Really enjoyable.
The owners were on the end of a phone and if you need anything they would sort it out.
We would definitely go again.

Very good location, great house and stunning views
We had a fantastic stay at High Mead, Aberdovey. The house is in a great location on the hillside with stunning views and only a few mins walk to town. The house is clean and in good condition. I had a great few days kitesurfing the local beach and a day at "Coed Y Brenin" mountain bike centre. Will definitely be booking again later in the year.
thanks - Luke

Lovely, relaxing and stunning views.
Hill Mead exceeded our expectations for our short break. Very homely house, with modern décor and facilities. Lots of room for our group of 6 plus two dogs and whenever we went out for the day, we certainly looked forward to returning.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great place for the perfect family holiday
High Meade was the perfect holiday home for our family of 5 adults,1 toddler and a dog. We all relaxed in this very comfortable home. The listing description is accurate. The porch was perfect for leaving the pushchair and walking gear. The underfloor heating a real treat first thing in the morning and the toys and jigsaws a real bonus for cosy evenings in drinking the odd glass of wine and watching the sun set. The weather was great, we took the dog a walk every morning down rthe hill and over the sand dunes to the beach a short 10mins walk away. The hill is steep but short and helps you feel good after the ice creams( excellent choice-loved the ginger), fish and chips ( best eaten sitting on the beach), meals out ( Sea breeze is well worth a visit) and pub quiz (Dovey Inn on a Tue). The property was clean and warm when we arrived and an easy property to live in. My grand daughter especially enjoyed being able to go out on the swing in her pyjamas..

A lovely property with great views.
We had a fantastic stay at High Mead. The property was well-maintained, clean and contained everything you could possible need. I would certainly recommend this property to a friend or relative. Aberdovey is a very special place and well worth a visit. We would recommend The Seabreeze restaurant and The Brittania Inn for good food and service.
