Orchard Barn, in origine una fattoria del XIX secolo, è stata completamente ricostruita dai proprietari per offrire una casa vacanze di alta qualità per sé e per i loro ospiti. Situato in una pittoresca campagna, ideale per escursioni a piedi e in bicicletta e attrazioni locali, è anche facilmente raggiungibile dalle colline del South Shropshire e dalla Elan Valley. What a lovely barn. Ideal location for our holiday. Plenty of space. Peace and quiet. Absolutely delight to return to every day after long walks. We will be returning.

There'll be a welcome in the hillside 🎶

Comfortable, clean and cosy. We couldn't have wished for better. Well equipped with a lovely welcome pack which included home-made Welsh cakes - 😋 yum. Carefully thought out touches included a selection of books, CDs, board games, so something for everyone. Peaceful surroundings. Would we book again? You bet! Thank you, Alison and Mum

Very quiet cottage in countryside

everything written in listing was correct and even down to dishwasher tablets were included. But we were advised the day before travelling that downstairs shower was not running any hot water and would be corrected hopefully on Saturday. We did not receive any contact at all from owners all the time we were there ( 9 days) Which meant that my wife could not join us as she is not able to climb the stairs to use shower upstairs. otherwise a lovely cottage.

Peace & Tranquility

Set in a fabulous location, ideal for walking, relaxing and watching nature at its best. Spotlessly clean, modern fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. Plentiful cutlery, crockery and kitchen utensils. Couldn’t have wished for anything better. Thank you Zara & David

Picturesque location surrounded by green countryside

Great location to explore Central Wales. Loved the Red Kites which were soaring everywhere. The property was clean and spacious and was well equipped to cater for a family of four. Great communication with the owners every step of the way and simple instructions for everything in the cottage. Highly recommend!

Beautiful barn with everything you need to enjoy a nice relaxing break.

Beautiful barn in the quiet countryside watching the squirrels playing with nothing to hear but the birds singing and the sheep bleating. Highly recommended for a quiet relaxing brake from the whirlwind of every day life 😊

Quiet and peaceful, ideal for relaxation

Accomodation is high standard and everything is provided. Location is great if you are willing to travel. Surrounded by scattered farms, plenty of sheep, cows, squirrels. Beautiful green countryside. Excellent pubs within 10 miles radius.

Peace, Quiet and Excellence!!

Beautiful barn-conversion, building and amenities absolutely top-drawer. Remote and very quiet farm setting, yet only 18 minutes to Llandrindod Wells. The Owners are amazing, couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was pleasant and comfortable. Definitely 5-Stars all around!!

the perfect house in the perfect spot.

I really can't recommend this property highly enough. The renovation has been done to a very high standard, and it has everything that you could need for your holiday (including a garlic crusher!) The wifi is fast and reliable. The owners are lovely and obviously really care about their guests, giving brilliant instructions on how to get there, and leaving lovely touches to make your stay comfortable. I"m really hoping that I'll get to go back.

Extremely happy and didn't wish to leave

We had a lovely stay at Orchard Barn, it's a very remote cottage right next to a working farm within the middle of the Welsh countryside. You'll need the very helpful directions as it's quite difficult to find if you're just relying on your SatNav. The cottage was very clean and tidy, with a nice welcome from the friendly sheep! The kitchen was well equipped with pretty much all that you need and allowed us to self cater for a week with ease. All rooms were bright and spacious and the main bedroom on the first floor was particularly large. There were ample hangers and hanging space for clothes within the wardrobes. The bathrooms were of a good size, with two showers providing decent water pressure. We saw a large number of red kites and various other birdlife whilst there and were very fortunate to take advantage of the many stars in the sky, something that is rarely seen where we live on the edge of London. David and Zara's communication was perfect and they even messaged us whilst we were there to make sure everything was okay. We were extremely happy and didn't wish to leave, we love trying out new places and seldom return to the same place but Orchard Barn may tempt us!

Lovely quiet break

Orchard Barn is lovely and exactly as it looks in the photos. David and Zara are friendly and provided lots of useful info for our stay. The info we had said O2 is the only network to get a signal at the barn. We found we could sometimes get a 4G signal with EE, and very occasionally a 3G one with O2. A 4G signal is useful as the internet at the barn is very slow (usable for emails but not much else). We enjoyed our stay and all the local walks.

A great place to unwind

This relaxing, easy maintenance barn conversion was the ideal place to unwind in. The beauty of the surrounding area was exactly what we were looking for and the owners are very friendly. We can confidently recommend this property for those who want to leave the 'bustle' behind for a few days. Large Tesco/Aldi 20 mins away and very enjoyable walks from the door.

But wished it was longer. My family had a wonderful time at the property. Beautifully converted and in a picturesque, secluded location, couldn't pick a fault if I had to !

Clean, Comfortable and Peaceful property.

Myself, my Wife & two children loved this property. We spent 4 nights here, and felt so comfortable & relaxed. It has all the things you need to make it a home from home. I can see why this has five star ratings ! It is so peaceful, a perfect place to getaway from the hustle & bustle. Communication from the owners was excellent. I think we will definitely be returning.

Fantastic Peaceful Location. Great Property!

Just returned from a lovely week at Orchard Cottage. My wife and I and young children. The cottage was immaculate, very well converted and had everything you need to relax away from home. The location is remote however if you want to get away from it all then this is ideal. We recharged our batteries along with days out to Elan Valley (dams and visitor centre a must!) nipping back cross the border to Stokesay Castle and really enjoyed the lake, parks and walks in Llandondrid Wells (20minutes drive) the kids had loads to do there. Hosts communicated really well and we always knew what we needed for the cottage. Eating out on the patio most days with the countryside around you was a treat. If you like running, then morning jogs were great although a challenging hill 2km down the road! Great training opportunity! Thanks to Zara and David.

Great Property

Very comfortable and well equiped , excellent broadband connection a smart TV would have been the icing on the cake though we spent most of our time watching the baby rabbits , sheep and fox just outside the windows. Very relaxing and peaceful location highly recommended.

Lovely barn with all essentials

This is our second time at the barn and we will definitely be back. It is very quiet and peaceful, perfect for a break away from it all. It is very well equipped with everything one might including WiFi, an array of books, TVs (in the bedrooms as well as the lounge). All areas are spotless and modern. The beds are the most comfortable we have every slept in. A truly lovely place for some rest and relaxation.

We had a lovely week- the house is perfect. We stayed with two young children who were very happy, we went to the red kite feeding centre, the Elan valley and several national trusts which were a bit of a drive away but perfect! Thank you

Tasteful, cosy, peaceful, clean, a gem of a place.

Just seven nights and days did not seem long enough in this wonderful accommodation set amongst the lovely rolling hills of Powys. The barn had everything we could have needed during our stay and all was very well maintained. We had excellent communication with the owners throughout our build up to our holiday and all instructions were clear and coherent. We were blessed with sunny days throughout our stay- excellent cycling weather- and even when the evenings did seem cooler, the barn was gorgeously warm. We would thoroughly recommend a break here to recharge the batteries and would love to return.

Beautiful barn in rural setting

Owners should be very proud of the care and attention they have put into this conversion. Barn is well appointed and myself and my family have just spent a very relaxing week there. Communication off the owner was greatly appreciated, especially the message on the morning of our departure to warn us of a weather change and to pack warm clothing and umbrellas.
