This is a wonderful, fully equipped house. The house was lovely and warm on arrival, with plenty of logs for the fire . The beds were very comfy and warm. The house had everything we needed for a week walking in the hills
This is a very attractive cottage and is well-equipped. I would just give a word of warning to older visitors with dodgy knees - like in so many cottages the stairs are steep. As there is a toilet downstairs this is less of a problem than it might be. With careful planning, for example deciding to brush your teeth downstairs, it should be possible to make the ascent to the bedroom floor just once a day.
Rose Cottage was a beautiful and extremely well kept accommodation. It was perfectly suited for our needs and was really comfortable.
The location was ideal and the scenery was quite simply stunning!
I would definitely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay in this property very much. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, well equipped and tastefully decorated.
The garden is beautiful and a lovely place to sit and have a glass of wine after a day's walking in the hills. Parking in front of the cottage is easy. The area is stunning. (It is advisable to take provisions with you as it is a fair drive to the shops.) We would definitely stay there again.
Beautiful cottage. Alison kindly decorated the cottage with a Christmas tree and decorations for us. The goodies she left for us were greatly appreciated!
Very comfortable stay. Lovely with the wood burner. Kitchen had everything you needed for cooking. We hope to return when the weather is better. Thank you!
Comfortable clean cottage with everything we needed for self-catering and walking. Wonderful walks straight from the door into the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
The property was very quiet and comfortable, the surrounding places are beautiful and safe, we had a wonderful time in our stay.
Just one problem with the checkin process, partly it’s our mistake too as we arrived late in the night when it was raining. The navigation shows the postcode somewhere 2 miles away and the name board was not visible in the night, we think the right postcode is DL11 6LJ, another landmark they can add is, the property is just opposite of Keld Resource Centre. Because, there are no mobile reception about 5miles surrounding we struggled to find this place.
Ms Alison Calvert (the owner) was very helpful, really appreciate that she arrived at around 3am to check us in. Once we were in, we settled nicely and had a wonderful time.
Beautiful, well equipped cottage in a stunning location.
Such a great find!
A perfect cottage for our family of four. Very comfortable bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and living areas, and great shower. All of this in a beautiful, quiet location with just enough local facilities and a friendly local pub.
Stunning walks on the doorstep, and many more things to do just a short drive away.
The owner, Alison offered a very warm welcome and communication was excellent throughout.
Would recommend 100%.
This cottage is in a perfect spot for getting away from the hustle of city life. Beautiful walks in every direction literally from the front door. Immaculately furnished and the cosy living room overlooking the back field was a pleasure to chill in after a day out and about. Especially in the spring when the lambs are gamboling around.
Cannot fault this place, it is beautiful.
Beautiful location . Very well appointed cottage ,fully equipped everything you would need for a very enjoyable holiday. Stunning scenery right from your windows.
This is a superb property in a wonderful village location and the owners couldn't be more helpful. Many thanks for a lovely break would thoroughly recommend.
The cottage has everything we need for family of four. It has a great dining room with a log burner. Rooms are spacious and cosy. Keld is a peaceful and stunning village. The host, Alison put all efforts to make our stay perfect, welcomed us with home made cake and proseeco. We enjoyed our short break and highly recommend the place to everyone.
What a find! This delightful cottage, situated pretty much exactly at the halfway point on Wainwright’s Coast to Coast walk was just what we were looking for. The accommodation was snug, spotless and well-equipped and the surrounding area of Upper Swaledale is gorgeous. It was a rare and refreshing treat to find somewhere where everything seems to work on Honesty boxes, from the Keld Resource Centre directly opposite the cottage to the tea shop and campsite car park around the corner.
The cottage is perfect for four or five people looking to experience the Dales. It is well appointed and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It is located in the hamlet of Keld, a peaceful and tranquil place to get away for a time. Excellent centre to walk from with a variety of walks from the door to meet all abilities. There is a real community feel to Keld and the Resource Centre is a fantastic place to learn a little about the history and culture of this delightful Dale.
The owner could not have been more communicative, helpful and welcoming.
We shall be back!
