Nella casetta Gwardolau di Wye Valley si trova un'estensione del 1850 alla casa principale di Gwardolau, ex casa di servizio e cucina.
Situato lungo una tranquilla stradina di campagna 1. A 5 miglia dal centro di Rhayader, questa spaziosa proprietà riscaldata centralmente è composta da un soggiorno con camino impressionante con stufa multicombustibile e soffitto con travi a vista, con accesso al giardino posteriore. Grande cucina con forno a microonde, lavatrice. C'è un bagno al piano di sotto. Al piano superiore ci sono camere doppie e matrimoniali, entrambe con vista sui giardini verso le colline che circondano Rhayader e il bagno principale.
C'è parcheggio fuori strada e deposito per biciclette ecc.

Great place to stay

Very comfortable cottage with everything you need. The host Karl is a very friendly and helpful chap and made us very welcome. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Gwardalou Cottage to anyone.

Great dog friendly cottage

The cottage was comfortable and well equipped and is in a good location for walking in the the Elan Valley and the Cambrain mountains. The enclosed garden was great for our two dogs.

Fabulous, so clean,cosy and comfortable. It was so quiet. Lovely enclosed garden for our dog. Great area, so much to see and do, even in winter. Host was so friendly and informative.

Perfect

We had a lovely stay in the cottage for a week. The garden was amazing with all the beautiful flowers to look at and the butterflies and birds that flew over. Very well equipped house and the host was very friendly and helpful. The area is just beautiful with a 20 minute walk to town and various walks to do from the cottage. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little bolt hole

Found the property a little dark but I struggle with my eyesight. The settees could do with replacing as us oldies found it too soft and hard to get up 😫. Bed was lovely and comfy. Perfect for dogs as totally enclosed and secure . Karl was the perfect host

Perfect Location, Property and Host

This is the 2nd time we have stayed and Karl and his Mum are lovely hosts. The cottage is well kitted out with everything you need (Including a hair dryer!). We arrived and it was immaculate. A lovely large kitchen with microwave, oven, washing machine, fridge and freezer The living room is spacious and the log burner was ideal when coming in after a long day out. Two bedrooms, one with double bed and the other with 2 single beds. - Very comfortable Views from the bedroom overlook a lovely secluded garden which is available for use during your stay. Overall everything was just perfect. Will definitely be booking again.

Lovely location, charming cottage but needs updating

The host Karl is very friendly and helpful. Great location. This cottage has charm but needs updating. The beds and sofas were uncomfortable and worn. The lighting was inadequate leaving the property feeling dingy. Crockery needs replacing. Overall needs a little TLC

Out in the sticks

Going into property looked like STEP to SON yard a 1970 serious. The cottage itself was dark in the living room but cosy at night. The owner was friendly and if needed anything just had to ask. The overall experience was very peaceful

A little piece of paradise

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it had everything we could want, including throws for the cooler evenings. Lovely garden to sit in and enjoy the sounds of the birds. It was a very quiet and relaxing setting. Karl was a very good host and gave us some good advice on where to visit. We like it so much we have already booked for next year!

Perfect hideaway.

A haven of tranquility, cottage is surrounded by woods and shrubs.Peace is only disturbed by birdsong and the whistle sound of Red Kites overhead. Beautiful countryside! Ideal for walkers and cyclists. Owner's 2 collie type dogs are well behaved, quiet and just want to play despite of arthritis in one of them. Adorable!

Lovely cottage has everything you could need . About half hour walk to town and 5 minutes drive to Elan Valley Reservoirs. As Arnie said " I'll be back" .

I enjoyed my stay, plenty of walking near by, Red Kites and Photo opportunities. The property was spacious with a typical farmhouse feel. The owners were very accommodating and I would love to go back and stay again.

Holiday in mid Wales

Great holiday

We stayed a few lovely days in March/April: the cottage was very well equipped and clean, in a lovely setting, and Karl was very helpful throughout.

Cosy Cottage in great location

I stayed with 2 friends and we had a wonderful stay. The cottage was warm, kitchen was a great social area, wood burner was a lovely bonus. Bed was comfy and slept really well. The town was just over a mile away so perfect for bits and bobs Karl was amazing, very attentive and approachable, nothing was too much trouble. A great host. Would recommend

Gwardolau cottage

Good communication with Karl. Friendly greeting on arrival. Lovely cottage even though weather was bad. Karl was easy to contact and gave great advice on where to eat and which walks to take and places to go to.
