About this property

Sitting over the water's edge at the 25 mile marker in Osage Beach is the most famous house ever built on the Lake. This architectural wonder is now available for your family to enjoy. SLEEPS 10

Whether you are sitting in the living room watching all the boat traffic go by, or on the martini deck near the pier, you will not miss a moment of the action, whether it be boats flying by, or quiet sunsets. The Living room also boasts a 65" TV. The living room also includes a beautiful gas fireplace that lights at the touch of a button, and warms your heart and the room on those wintry evenings.

The kitchen is appointed with all the utensils, appliances and gadgets you need for a summer retreat, and you may sit at the dining room table and enjoy that million dollar view.

All three bedrooms boast high end comfort king beds and bedding. Down stairs bedrooms offer a comfort queen bed and bedding along with King.

The master suite boasts more of that view over the water, a king bed, and an en suite bath. Sit down at the chess table and enjoy a quiet game as you ponder that view.

The 2nd bedroom boasts 1 king bed, 1 queen bed more of that amazing view, and another full bath. Let us know if you want to use that sleeper, and we will have the linens ready for your arrival. This room, too, has a 50" flat screen tv for your enjoyment.

The third bedroom has a king bed, a queen bed. This room is an executive suite with a desk for your business needs and a a quiet retreat to finish that project before that vacation begins. This room, too has an en suite and a 50" flat screen tv.

Above on the "top deck" is an amazing gathering area where you can watch the sunset, enjoy a quiet romantic dinner, or catch up on your tan. This is a favorite spot for all of our regulars!

We are also willing to rent one or two bedrooms separately if the house is available at the last minute, and you only need a 1 or two bedroom. Shoot us an email, and we will help you find the perfect fit for your last minute trip!

Best house on the lake

Me, my friends and my family came to the Ozarks and stayed in the amazing pedestal house! It was everyone’s first time in the Ozarks and not only did we have a great time but the house was amazing. It is a lot more bigger and spacious that expected. Very clean and well stocked with necessities. The outdoor deck/dock area is also huge. We had so much fun spending time on the roof and taking in the beautiful view. The owners are quick to respond too with any questions you may have. 10000% recommend staying here and we already can’t wait to come back!!

Awesome views!

Iconic experience for anyone who has seen the pedestal house when boating over the years. Never thought we would have a chance to stay there. Sarah was great to work regarding communication and scheduling.

Perfect Labor Day weekend!

This house has fascinated me from the time I was a little girl boating on LOTO. When it popped up as a vacation rental I was stoked to have a chance to stay at this iconic place! We brought our 6 children and every one of them loved the house as much as we did! Views are amazing and the location is very convenient!

Very Cool House

Very cool house with a wonderful location and beautiful views. It was very confortable for 6 adults. Only comment is it could us a bit of a facelift (new carpet) but you can kind of tell that from the pictures. The water pressure was really low in the showers, probably an old house thing though.

AWESOME Weekend Getaway!!

Beautiful home right on the lake. Dock to swim on. Tons of beds to sleep in. Clean, cool, and so much fun! Sunsets were outstanding, as well!

Perfect secluded lake spot!

Me and my friends had an excellent weekend celebrating our bride to be at the pedestal house! It was far enough off the main stretch that there wasn’t a ton of boat traffic, but close enough to get to bars quickly. Be advised that it’s a lot of steps, but we got a good workout.

Yearly friend getaway

My friends and I have stayed at this property over the last 5 years. We keep coming back because of the incredible space in the house, flexibility of the property owners, and direct access to the lake. We tried staying somewhere else, but we were sorely disappointed. While some things are in need of repair and a good clean, the property owners are good about responding to feedback and making improvements. We will continue to stay at the Pedestal House for years to come!

Great location!

My husband and I had a great time at the Pedestal House. It has a great view and was in a quiet neighborhood. It is close to many pool bars and state parks for hiking. Our key code to enter did not work, but the property mgr came right to the unit to help us get in and reset the code. Our dog was over the weight limit to bring with us. With that said, the carpet has MULTIPLE pet stains in almost all rooms and stair areas that did not appear to be cleaned or are unable to be cleaned. The gas grill on the small deck is not usable due to rust, but there is a charcoal grill near the parking area which was great. The property itsself could use some maintenance, updates and cleaning. The view and location is worth the price.

Recently stayed over Labor Day weekend. Sarah was very responsive and attentive to any needs. House was beautiful and seeing the sun rise and sunset from the roof was spectacular. Will definitely be coming back!

Location Location Location

No only was this house an archeological beauty, the location was perfect. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and enjoy the upstairs patio. The house is in the perfect location to easily get the dining and shopping. We had a wonderful time and will be back soon.

We had a great stay!

Stayed for a short visit to Lake of the Ozarks over my fiancee's birthday. We had a great time. It took a little while to get in touch with our listing agent, but when she did get back to us she was able to accomodate our needs. The property is very interesting and has a lovely view. The area is nice- there are many other lakeside homes nearby and the hilly landscape is great for stimulating walks and very scenic. The only thing that left something to be desired was the wifi- it was unsecured and very slow. I wouldn't want to work from the location. Overall great time; would come back to stay in the future!

Fabulous house and location

We Loved Loved Loved the house and our stay. We added another night. We will be back. only items incorrect on the Vrbo site were: it is a gas fireplace, no need to bring wood, gas grill is tiny, no ice maker, the sliding doors in the master were padlocked but sad not to get fresh air in there. But the even with that all, it was awesome!! The top deck makes everything worthwhile. Nice and private and quiet.

Good stay that would have been great with improved communication.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the pedestal house. The accommodations were perfectly satisfactory, with a fully stocked kitchen. The house has beautiful views and it was nice having a dock to utilize. One of our favorite features was the rooftop deck where we ate breakfast most days. Per other comments it is a little less updated than other properties we have stayed at, but this didn’t hinder our trip and the pictures are an accurate representation of the property. Communication is probably the top consideration for improvement. We received documents (including the access code) in a format from word processing system not compatible with modern systems, and never received an updated version or acknowledgment when we reached out to get the information. We had also agreed to an early check-in, but when we arrived the house was not ready and was expected to be finished by normal check-in. The management team did ensure this was started immediately and cleaning ended sooner than expected, but we were surprised with the lack of communication on these fronts. Finally, we brought our dogs with us on this trip and while it was not an issue for us, note that the house is surrounded by rocks - there are no grassy areas in the immediate vicinity. In addition, there is no safe access to the lake for dogs to swim if this is something you are looking to do. Overall, our stay was good and would have been great if communication was improved.

Like everybody that has ever been on the water, we too, marveled at this engineering wonder, and always wished we could "peak inside", so we decided to purchase it!
