Magical Experience

We loved Chateau Servigny it was a magical place set in beautifully maintained grounds. The chateau was fantastic with very comfortable bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms, the living spaces were comfortable and there are multiple living rooms so our group could spread out. There are both indoor and outdoor dining options. Arnaud was a very attentive host and answered our questions quickly, and helped us find a guide for the D-Day beaches, and also a chef to cook for us. The housekeeper and groundskeeper were really friendly. The pool and tennis court are wonderful. We also enjoyed walking through the well maintained trails through the woods. Valonges is close by and has a good supermarket and multiple bakeries. The D-Day sites are all within easy reach. We can't say enough good things about our experience here.

Wonderland in France

Wonderful week in the countryside of France. The Chateau is great! So much to do for the family. The kids and adults were always in the game room , at the pool , playing tennis , riding bikes around the property, or just out for a walk.on the grounds of the property. Just a beautiful place full of history, and the staff was very warm and welcoming.

Super experience

This is a great place to enjoy while visiting the Normandy area. The property is so inviting and everyone was very satisfied with the space and loved the indoor and the outdoor space. It is tricky to find if you arrive at night, but once you find the turn it is an easy. Super markets are close by. I would recommend to book reservations for nearby restaurants because they are small and usually booked. No negatives for the property though, just would have prepared better for dining out.

Normandy Adventure

A wonderful experience for all in the family. Bikes for adults and kids. Beautiful swimming pool, and grounds for evening and early morning walks. Very comfortable rooms with nice kitchen and dining facilities. Staff was exceptional as we hired Celine to supply our group with 2 meals. Very reasonable and nice to have a homemade meal after long days of exploring this wonderful countryside. We are already talking about our next trip to Normandy and another stay at the Château.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!

From the moment you drive through the gate onto this enchanted château, you are completely taken back in time; words cannot describe how beautiful and unique this property is from the inside out and how wonderful the owners and their staff are to each family that comes to visit and stay in there a Beautiful historical estate. They went above and beyond to make my birthday an extra special event my only regret is that I couldn't stay longer. I would suggest at least a week to really get to enjoy all that this beautiful château has to offer, Not to mention all the excursions nearby you could enjoy while you’re staying there. BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!!! We can’t wait to come back The Mello Family

Fantastic! A once in a life time experience!

We had a fantastic experience at the chateau, and were in awe of being in a place with so much history! We are so very grateful for Arnaud and his family enabling us to stay at their chateau! Our only regret is that we, having booked tours (thanks Arnaud's help for recommendation on tours and preparing for our trip) of the landing beaches etc., did not reserve more time to hang out at home at the Chateau as between the heated pool, the bikes, tennis, ping-pong, and exploring the park, there really were enough activities there to keep everyone entertained for the full week (without going anywhere else). The chateau has everything you need to feel at home. Arnaud, the host and Francoise, the housekeeper, were also extremely responsive and really made us feel welcome! We can strongly recommend staying at this Chateau!

Amazing and perfect vacation!

Is it possible to give 10 stars? We had high expectations for this chateau, and it exceeded all of them. The property is steeped in fascinating history, our hosts were warm, inviting, and responsive, and the grounds and chateau were both sprawling and gorgeous. The pictures do not do this property justice. We particularly appreciated the bikes that were available for the kids to use and the pool (which was heated to the perfect temperature for the July weather), but all of the thoughtful touches around the property were amazing, from the fully-stocked kids' playhouse to the board games in the library to the historical information in the bedrooms. It was fantastic to have Ms. Celine available to make delicious four-course meals and babysit the kids. Ms. Francoise would tiptoe around every morning, slipping in to make beds and coffee. This is by far the best home rental experience we've ever had. The only downside (which some would say is not a downside) is that the WiFi signal was not strong (and cellular signals could not penetrate the stone castle walls), so it was difficult to stay connected for work. But every member of our group (four adults and six children, ages 6 to 13) had an unequivocally fabulous time. This chateau and all the people associated with it are simply gems. We will definitely be back.

Perfection!

I stayed at Servigny for a week with a group of 12 women. We went with high expectations. Our experiences exceeded our expectations. The Chateau is beautiful. The entire place is welcoming, elegant and comfortable. The grounds were far more expansive then we had envisioned, and we so enjoyed exploring! Servigny was a perfect base from which to take in the wonders of Normandy, but it is important to allow plenty of time to soak in all that the Chateau de Servigny offers.

Awesome!

The chateau is beautiful! We arrived on Sunday and Françoise was waiting for us with her welcoming smile and a fresh fruit basket and wine, a gift from Arnaud, the owner of the Chateau. The rooms are all beautifully decorated with updated bathrooms. The grounds are impeccable and very peaceful. The breeze blowing the leaves of the majestic trees on the grounds. Jean Jacque, the Gardner, works hard every day attending to everything green to make sure the grounds are happy. We had a pleasure of seeing the room where the Cherbourg treaty was signed and it’s hard not to be affected by the fact that this chateau played such an important role in the WW2. Unfortunately, the weather did not permit the use of the pool, but it looked very inviting, clean and had a beautiful new cover. To our surprise there was an indoor ping pong table which we used almost daily for fun matches. There are plenty of good restaurants within a short driving distance. The plethora of information about the historical sites, memorials, close by attractions, restaurants activities and entertainment is well displayed on the welcoming tables of the Chateau. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have great showers and baths. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. For couple of nights we took advantage of Gwenelle’s cooking. The dinners were delicious and it’s just so much fun to stay home in the Chateau and be taking care of in “French” style. Normandy is very relaxed and welcoming and a beautiful countryside. We cherished the moments we spent in the Chateau and strolling the beautiful grounds. Created lots of beautiful memories and we hope to return. Thank you Arnaud for all your help and hospitality. Best wishes from USA

Spectacular Chateau in Normandy

Fifteen friends shared this magnificent home while attending the World Equestrian Games in Caen. My commitment is to return to fully enjoy this Chateau without the distraction of dressage. The photos and information provided are all very accurate. Arnaud the owner was very available and helpful to deal with during the booking and provided excellent information regarding the locale and guides (for a DDay tour). The residence itself is jaw-dropping. Once the front gates open you immediately realise that you've made an excellent choice. The housekeeper Francoise was a smiling face there to welcome you. There are ample areas for entertaining, both inside and out and a spectacular dining room. All the bedrooms are ensuited and very comfortable. Several are imposing to say the least. A couple of the bedrooms are relatively small (relative to the size of the chateau rather than the size of a typical European hotel room), but the communal areas are so numerous that it was very easy to find a quiet place to relax. The pool was well heated and the bikes were well used for morning rides to the local village. The grounds were exceptional - a twilight wander over the grass or through the trees with a glass in hand was a fantastic way to end the day. The kitchen was well equipped; however thankfully we didn't really need to avail ourselves of this because of the wonderful Gwenaelle, the cook. After the week we were working on ways of taking Gwenaelle with us! After a day touring or at the dressage, to arrive 'home' at 7pm and have Gwenaelle preparing a wonderful repast in the kitchen was for many of us a highlight. Excellent food that we were more than happy to consume every night. I will certainly be returning to Servigny, probably next time with my extended family. Whilst this fabulous chateau is full of history and antiques, it is so very livable and felt very much like a home for all of us. For someone who travels frequently and widely, this was on of the best week's holiday I've had. And largely made that way because of the Chateau and it's staff.

Chateau de Servigny

My family had the gift of renting this Chateau for one week over the summer. There were ten of us - ages 9 to 77 - parents, sons and daughters and grandchildren - three generations. For those looking for a peerless place to create lasting memories - this is it. Though the surrounding areas provide endless opportunities for excursions to stimulate the heart and mind - the Normandy beaches, the Tapestry at Bayeaux, Sainte-Mere-Eglise - you will be tempted, as we were, to spend many a day on the grounds...enjoying the pool, tennis courts and other group activities. The owner was most accommodating - and his staff very personable, including his recommended chef - who amazed us each night with a dinner that ended in applause. Of all the places my family has had the opportunity to share time away - this one tops the list.

An outstanding historic venue ideally situated.

As a group of 15 friends we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this spectacular Chateau. From the information provided before arriving, the wonderful welcome and tour from Francoise, the immaculate interior and grounds to the wonderful food by the staff. The facilities and the chance to experience staying in this amazing home have been an absolute privilege. Everything has been thought of to make this a holiday you will never forget.

Where wonderful family memories were made. Fantastic place!

All of our family (8 adults and 8 grandkids) just spent a week there. It was better than advertised. It exceeded our expectations and lifetime family memories were made this week. It was hard to become a commoner once again at the end of the week and some of the grandkids cried because we had to leave. The inside is elegant yet comfortable. Bedrooms very nice and lots of bathrooms. The grandkids loved the vast lawn, woods, and playhouse. There is so much to do and the bikes came in handy. It is in an ideal location for WWII sites and Mont St. Michel. The staff is excellent, housekeeper is so helpful, groundskeeper very handy and the evening cook was wonderful. We looked forward to the evening meal each night. Table sits 18-20 and each night was a great event. So nice to have a washer and dryer to use. Owner is very responsive and easy to work with. We couldn't have picked a better place, we felt like Texas royalty for the week. Much thanks to the owner and staff.

Highly Recommended

If you are seeking a perfect location for your Normandy vacation, this is it. I just returned form a week there with my extended family and everyone was delighted with the chateau, which is difficult to achieve with a large group. The chateau is magnificent and is surrounded by beautiful grounds. It will satisfy all of your fantasies about living the life of a French aristocrat. The owner has been very attentive to details such as high quality linens, bicycles, a ping pong table and wifi. It is very well-maintained and cared for and does not have the commercial feeling that some rentals have. It is full of character, but all of the modern conveniences are there. Each bedroom is decorated with antiques but also has its own modern bathroom. The owner is very gracious and helpful in addressing questions and making any special arrangements. One of the best things about the chateau is that a very kind housekeeper comes almost every day. For a reasonable fee, she can arrange breakfast each morning, a huge advantage for a large group. In addition, an excellent cook is available to prepare other meals at a reasonable cost. Also, for an extraordinary meal, a very fine chef can be arranged. The location of the chateau is excellent. Normandy is quite large, and the chateau is located at the center, within easy reach of the D-Day beaches, beautiful coastal villages, charming market towns, and several larger towns of historical interest. Mont St Michel is an easy day excursion. The owner will put you in touch with an excellent guide who focuses on D-Day sights. For us, this was an excellent choice.

Fabulous stay in a magical place

This is such a remarkable (and beautiful) chateau, steeped in history, and it is very well set up for family or friends’ groups with all the lovely bedrooms being en-suite. As keen cooks, we were very happy with the kitchen and different dining arrangements, and Arnaud could not have been more helpful in accommodating a couple of special requests. The staff were also charming and super helpful. We would love to come back some time, and have already recommended to family and friends. Thank you, Arnaud and your team.

A Wonderful Week

We were a party of twelve, five of whom were children ranging in age between eight and three. It was a special weeks holiday to celebrate a milestone birthday. I can honestly say we couldn’t have wished for a better venue. The chateau was amazing so much space to enjoy, the outside facilities were outstanding, a beautiful heated pool, a spectacular games room meant wet weather did not spoil our stay. The staff were so helpful, many thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.
