4 * Itsepalvelumökki perinteisessä Skotlannin mäkitilalla

West Ferlochan Cottage tarjoaa 4 * itsepalvelumajoitusta Benderlochissa, Obanissa. Mökimme sijaitsee rauhallisella paikalla Loch Creranin rannalla. Olemme ihanteellinen paikka tutustua tähän kauniiseen Argyllin osaan.

Oleskelutilaan mahtuu kuusi henkilöä, avotakka ja 40 tuuman satelliitti-tv. Täysin varustetussa keittiössä / ruokailupalvelussa on joukko hakijoita, kuten sähköuuni ja liesi, mikroaaltouuni, astianpesukone, jääkaappipakastin ja kaiuttimet iPodille / iPhonelle.

Alakerrassa on pieni kahden hengen huone, kylpyhuone suihkulla ja WC ja hyvä koko kodinhoitohuone, jossa on pesukone ja kuivausrumpu.

Ensimmäisessä kerroksessa on kaksi päämakuuhuonetta. Jokaisessa makuuhuoneessa on 6 jalkaa sänky, joka voidaan tarvittaessa tehdä kaksosiksi. Makuuhuoneessa on seinälle asennettava Freeview-TV. Ensimmäisen kerroksen kylpyhuoneessa on kylpyamme, suihku ja WC.

Mökki on osa 220 hehtaarin maatilaa. Tilalla on monia kävelyretkiä Sguir Mhoriin asti, josta on upeat ja panoraamanäkymät Loch Creranin yli vuorille. Vieraat voivat käyttää vain kahta pientä nurmikkoa.

Avoinna ympäri vuoden ja lyhyet tauot tervetulleita.

Oban, joka on "portti Skotlannin saarille", on alle 10 mailia; Fort William, jota pidetään 'Ison-Britannian ulkona pääkaupungina', on alle tunnin ajomatkan päässä.

Wonderful base camp to explore the beauty of the area

The cottage was a wonderful and relaxing spot for our family as we explored the region. We are animal and nature lovers so were thrilled at the proximity to the lochs, the isles, Glencoe, the trail behind the cottage to walk up the hill and, of course, the spectacular cows at the farm. The kitchen is large and well stocked for cooking. The house was cozy and quiet. We hated to leave.

Cozy coastal farmhouse

We had a super cozy stay. There was lots to do nearby—castles, island tours, farm tour, walking up the mountain. The house had everything we needed, kitchen all kitted out, washer/dryer, tvs, comfortable beds. The host was very helpful.

Comfortable country cottage

Enjoyable quiet country setting. A farmhouse as a farmhouse should be. Convenient to Oban and the Isle of Mull which we found to be very well worth seeing. The farm property was beautiful and the farm manager provided a tour of the farm and a ride to the top of the mountain on the property. The views were gorgeous. We loved the cottage and the location and would definitely go back if we ever had a chance to return to that area of Scotland.

WHAT A FIND

From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a good choice. It was really clean, cosy, spacious. Amanda had thought of absolutely everything. We loved the situation, so very near to the loch, and very peaceful, only the cows calling when the farmer arrived to feed them. Very Highly recommended. Hope to return one day.

Wonderful Escape

The home is very clean and well furnished. We enjoyed the physical structure, but also the ideal location that is close to Oban and other areas that allowed us to relax most of the time. The farm setting was peaceful and refreshing from city life. The hosts were were very friendly and welcoming. I would enjoy staying at this property again in the future.

Beautiful place in the wilderness

This is one of the best accommodations we've ever been to. The house is located on a farm, you can see all the animals, you can walk around and explore the beautiful surroundings like the mountain stream up the hill and the beautiful Scottish cows. It's perfect for trips to Glencoe, Glenfinnan, Oban, famous Eilan Donnan Castle, Fort William, Fort Augustus (Loch Ness) and even Isle of Skye if you leave early. The house is very nice, very clean and there's everything you need in the kitchen and bathrooms. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed. We'll be back one day.

A Home Away From Home

Perfect in all ways & the location can not be beat. The home was amazing as was the farm. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. From a fully stocked kitchen to luxury items. The house was clean and very comfortable. It was awesome to meet Willie, Brad, the Highlanders & Galloways. The baby highlanders were a bonus. We loved the tour of the farm Willie took us on. Also the walk up to the top of the Hill was great with awesome 360 views. Amanda is a most welcome hostess. She is quick to respond and very helpful. We loved this farmhouse so much we will be coming back. Thank you Amanda, Willlie, Brad & the Coos.

A peaceful retreat

This cottage is in a quiet peaceful location that is close enough to Oban to be convenient, but far enough to be away from the hustle of the town center. Communication with Amanda was easy, and she even contacted us after checkin, to be sure everything was ok. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay near Oban.

Disappointed- bottom dollar more important than guests

Through out the night, the house vibrated and shook. All Night! Very loud! None of us were able to sleep. At around 2:00am I messaged the host, the noise and the shaking/vibrating had kept us up all night. Mostly in the second upstairs bedroom, it can be heard in the main bedroom. She messaged back at around 8:00, apologizing and that she would send someone over that works on her farm to see what was going on. They came over, bled the radiator said he wasn't sure if he had fixed it or if that was even the problem and he would call a plumber. At this point we hadn't slept, we felt sick and my daughter and myself had seemed to have hallucinations throughout the night. We decided that since the issue was not solved and we didn't sleep and we weren't feeling well, we would find another place to stay. We suggested carbon monoxide poising and even the idea that the house was haunted(this was first thing in the am when we were still ill and tired from the previous night). This was dismissed by the host with no resolution or theory as to what the problem could have been. The host did not offer to refund us for our stay, instead seemed offended that we tough it out. The last 4 days of our holiday was interrupted by this experience. This should never be the way anyones holiday ends. With no remorse, and no offer to refund for the remainder of our stay, the bottom dollar is obviously more important to the host than the well being of her guests. Also, black mold in bathroom, hard beds.

Oh My Goodness! Such a beautiful spot and lovely accommodations. Amanda's extra touches with a well appointed kitchen made us so comfortable. The Hairy Cows are adorable and the recommended hike behing the property was fantastic. Amanda texted us to be aware of some terrible weather that was to arrive during our stay, she is a kind and caring host. We will pass our opinions of this stay on to any we know who may be journeying in this direction. Thank You Amanda!

Quaint cottage on a lovely farm!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at this quaint cottage on a beautiful farm, with amazing scenery from the top of the farm. The home was comfortable,.clean, with plenty of amenities. Amanda was very helpful, and quick to communicate. We would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Host

Beautiful cottage with a beautiful view. Excellently host and friendly. Allowed us to pet the animals and walk around the farm. Clean and spacious rooms. The kids enjoyed the walk and close by shops about. Great location and not far from fort William and other beautiful sights. There is a beautiful beach 5min drive. Thank you, it was a pleasure staying there.

Oban farm cottage

This was a nice, clean, somewhat rustic country cottage on active farm with highland cattle. The owners are very nice and Amanda very responsive and helpful with dinner and hiking/walking recommendations. The only concern I would have is that the house smells a little musty (especially so the first floor back bedroom) which might be a bit off-putting to some people. Otherwise 5 starts all around. Loved interacting with the highland cows and beautiful hike up the hill for great views behind the property.

Wir haben die Ferienwoche in diesem sehr sauberen und liebevoll eingerichteten Cottage sehr genossen! Das Haus ist für eine Familie sehr gut geeignet, es hat alles was man braucht, insbesondere die Küche ist sehr praktisch ausgestattet. Leider war das Wetter letzte Woche ziemlich schottisch, die Sonne liess sich nicht allzuoft blicken. Umso mehr haben wir die gemütlichen Stunden im Cottage geschätzt.

A home from home

The house is beautiful, clean and very welcoming. Amanda, your pa, Willie was very helpful and lovely to talk. Because we lived in this area for nearly 19 years it was great to come back. I knew the lady who lived here before. Thank you for making my daughter's wedding week special for us.
