Tan y Graig è uno dei cinque cottage a schiera in pietra su una passerella rialzata, la parte anteriore si affaccia su una sala da tè e la parte posteriore ha la vista più mozzafiato di Snowdon. Puoi vedere il treno mentre si dirige verso la cima della montagna e la ferrovia delle Highlands gallesi letteralmente oltre il giardino sul retro.

Il cottage ha un pavimento in legno nel soggiorno ed è interamente ricoperto di moquette. Ha un divano a tre posti, due poltrone, una toletta e un camino in pietra aperto.

La scala ha un piccolo pianerottolo con porte che conducono a due camere da letto e un bagno e doccia. La camera doppia sul retro ha una porta a doppio vetro con gradini che salgono sul giardino sul retro.

La cucina è completamente attrezzata con fornelli, frigorifero e freezer, forno a microonde, macchina per il caffè, lavatrice e asciugatrice e una buona scorta di posate, stoviglie, bicchieri e utensili da cucina. C'è banda larga gratuita in fibra ottica e Wifi.

Il riscaldamento avviene tramite radiatori elettrici e un accogliente bruciatore di tronchi nel soggiorno con tronchi acquistati localmente. Tutte le lenzuola, asciugamani e strofinacci sono forniti.

La sala da tè del villaggio di fronte a Tan y Graig offre una selezione di pasti e spuntini durante il giorno e anche una colazione per tutto il giorno. Assicurati un caloroso benvenuto dai proprietari Menno ed Emma. Il pub del villaggio offre anche una vasta selezione di pasti e birre per gli ospiti.

Rhyd Ddu è un tranquillo villaggio sulla A4085, a circa 3 miglia a nord di Beddgelert, situato ai piedi di Snowdon e le sue cime circostanti. La ferrovia delle Highlands gallesi collega Caernarfon a Porthmadoc passando per il paese con una fermata a pochi passi dal cottage.

Uno dei percorsi su Snowdon - il sentiero Rhyd Ddu - ha il suo punto di partenza nel villaggio, e il percorso Snowdon Ranger si trova a due miglia di distanza. Le attività più praticate nella zona sono passeggiate, arrampicata, mountain bike, trekking su pony, pesca, golf e molto altro. Caernarfon si trova a 9 miglia di distanza attraverso paesaggi di montagna impressionanti.

Bangor, Anglesey e Llandudno sono a circa 30 minuti di auto dal cottage.

Relaxing get away

Property in lovely location, a home from home cottage with all the amenities you will need. Lovely walks on doorstep and great food in the pub across the road.

Lovely little cottage

We had a wonderful stay in Rhyd Ddu - the cottage was lovely and the location was perfect for walking. Our dog absolutely loved the garden! I was a bit concerned about the on road parking but it was absolutely fine. The tea room opposite is closed for 2024 and also up for sale (July 2024) which was a bit of a shame but the pub down the road was really nice.

Excellent loaction. Clean comfortable.

Spotlessly clean house with good amenities. Small and cosy. Host very welcoming and responsive. Beds very comfortable and good hot shower! Loads to do in the vicinity - even in the rain. Quirky garden is great.

Can’t find fault

Clean with quality items. Good size bedrooms, cosy lounge with log burner, well equipped kitchen and a fabulous view from back garden. Note: stairs to bedrooms are steep so maybe old or infirm may struggle. Steps to back garden also steep but well worth the climb. Very handy position for North Wales area visits. I would go again and also recommend it to others.

Small but well equipped and well located cottage backing onto Snowdon's western edge with all the facilities required for a couple/small group of adults and very well located for exploring northern Snowdonia. Property was very clean and well prepared and accurately marketed

Nice house on perfect location

Very nice house with beautiful garden with perfect view on Snowdon. Walk to the summit from the front door! Nice pub and restaurant across the street, supermarket a few minutes by car. Perfect place for a week, we would liked to stay another week.

Wonderful peaceful stay

So nice to be away again to our favourite part of Wales and glad we chose this property as so handy for all the things we like-walks in woods the coast, mountains. Property is lovely. Everything you require. Hope to get back really soon.

Loved our stay in this cosy cottage

We absolutely loved the cottage. We had everything we needed and it was very clean. The location is fantastic with lots of walks and beautiful views. Would definitely recommend to stay here.

Property was excellent. It was in a great location. It was very clean. We had a superb time. This was spoilt when we arrived home and received an email from the host stating she will be taking £150 from my account within 3-5 days for damage to a table to replace it. We had not used the table whilst there. She could only provide an after photograph of this damage but still insisted we had done it. Feel we are being ripped off. Beware of homes owned by this host. We are both older people who respect other peoples properties and would certainly have reported any damage sustained. This all spoilt what was a lovely break away

Beautiful views

Easy check in, property was clean and well equipped. Care to be taken on steps to the garden especially when wet, but well worth the effort! The views from the garden are spectacular and the property itself is in a lovely village location with walks on the doorstep. I love how this property is also dog friendly and we all enjoyed relaxing in front of the fire in the evenings.

Highly recommend this cottage

If you enjoy hiking and stunning scenery then this is the place to stay in Snowdonia National Park. The cottage has everything one needs for a very comfortable stay with everything thought of. We were able to self-cater very easily. Although there isn't a dining area a table and chairs are provided that you have to set up but as there were only 2 of us we ate on our laps. We also enjoyed sitting in the garden looking onto Snowdon but you have to be able to cope with steep steps ups. The beds are comfortable although the double bed is only a queen. We loved the location being able to walk from the door up Mount Snowdon. And there is a lovely pub and tea room in the village. Sally was very helpful and we would love to return. Highly recommend this lovely cottage which was spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished and very well equipped. Also a good shower which we appreciated! Many thanks Sally!

It was so good to get away and explore somewhere new. The cottage was very cosy and in a good location. The view from the back garden was amazing!

Enjoyable

Cottage was lovely, the only trouble was being over 75 years old , was not capable to get to the top of garden to see the views, made it once only, did not realise from the right up there was such a climb , other than that it was a great holiday

Location:- This cottage is in a small village in the foothills of Snowdon, there is a pub very close by, but it is more of a restaurant than a village pub. There is a tea room directly opposite ( who also sever a breakfast (not Monday or Tuesday)), but open 10ish (too late for us). The Rhyd-Ddu path is a very short distance away,, and with the exception of the 700m along the ridge (don’t do this if you suffer from vertigo) not too tough. There is easy access to Beddgelert from a 7km walk (starting opposite the train station), and it is a lovely village. Cottage:- This was built for time past, so the door to the kitchen is low, and the stairs are steep. It has everything you need (except a mobile phone signal - O2). WiFi, dishwasher, TV, washing machine. There was plenty of toilet roll, washing up liquid, (and other consumables) that you might need, even the knives were sharpe (or I’ve been too many places where they are blunt). If you venture out into the garden (which if up a steep path) you have a lovely view of the mountain, and can watch the welsh Highland Railway railway trains navigate their way to and from Caernarfon. We visited when it was wet, the cottage has a wood burner, which once lit, gives off an amazing amount of heat (drying our shoes and coats), and is a pleasure to watch.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely location

We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It was very well equipped, comfortable beds, kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine was very handy after a day’s outdoor activities. Comfy lounge to relax in, and on days with good weather was pleasant to take the few steps up to garden and view the mountains around Snowdon. Excellent location to be able to do some walks from the front door and be in the hills in a few minutes. Sally was very responsive to queries before we arrived and a quick question when we arrived. Would definitely recommend as a place to stay and relax or use as a base to explore the surrounding area.

Cosy Cottage in Snowdonia

clean, cosy cottage with all the facilities you need for a great stay in this lovely part of Wales. We had a welcome bottle of wine and welsh cakes which was nice. The views from the garden look over Mount Snowdon range and are amazing.

A wonderful cottage in a superb location.

This place is a little gem , the view from the garden is so beautiful , I wish it were summer so I could have sat at the table and just soaked in the view. So many walks from the cottage , no need to get back in the car and drive anywhere . Did not visit the pub as was more than happy curled up on the sofa in front of the fire with a glass of wine ., but heard it was good and the food smelt great when walking past . Will love to go back again in the summer .
