Great Experience

The property is beautiful. It was cold when we were there, so we weren't able to take advantage of the outdoor amenities. The owner was very kind and communicated at a high level. I would highly recommend this property.

The vacation is very motivating, you feel like you are at home with all the comforts. A stunning view that makes you release all the accumulated stress. We were there for a few weeks and we will go again.

Spectacular View

The lake was frozen the week we came, but still beautiful. My husband said we should return when it is warmer to enjoy it more. Was a great property for two couples since it had 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms. And having a kitchen was great for preparing breakfast.

Weekend Visit

I visited my college aged son over the weeend for a special event and wanted to stay somewhere with a little something special rather than a hotel. This property exceeded my expectations. Even with winter still lingering, the lake view was spectacular and was highlighted by the home's back wall of windows. Also, Don is a very responsive host and made sure the home had everything you could need - grill, grill tools, pots/pans, appliances, etc. I truly appreciated the hospitality. I hope to stay again when visiting my son. Thank you for a memorable stay, Mel.

Perfect to relax

It was simply wonderful. We enjoyed every minute in the house. The view was perfect. Sunset was priceless. We did yoga in the morning looking at the frozen lake. Beds are very comfortable and the hot water in the shower was perfect.

Right on the shore of the lake but everything was private property so it was impossible to walk anywhere and enjoy the natural beauty-- unless you were on the water itself. (kayaks and lifejackets available). Owner super considerate and the home was of top quality. Decks and BBQ very nice. Great for family getaway.

We were in the area for West Point's Ring weekend. Stay couldn't have been better, beautiful, quiet location right on the water, utilized the kayaks, awesome deck, and amenities. Don is very responsive, even offered us a few extra hours before check out on Sunday which was so great for spending some extra time with our cadet, thanks so much!!

Amazing Getaway

Stayed here for a few summer days with our family and had a great time. House was clean and well stocked. We really liked the large communal area which kept our family together. The lake is amazing - we spent a lot of time kayaking and swimming. It was a beautiful getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at the lake view property! The house was spotless and very well-maintained, with excellent amenities that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Great Views and a Very Cozy Home

The home was a wonderful place with amazing views and the perfect size for our small Friendsgiving. The kitchen was well-stocked with pots and pans and cleaning supplies were available. Our only critique was that some aspects of the house update you can tell are still in progress, but they’re more aesthetic updates. I’d recommend this home and would definitely come back in the future.

Charming Home on Serene Lake - Highly Recommend

Our group of 5 adults (including 3 twenty-somethings) greatly enjoyed our weekend on Lake Orange. The home was bright, clean, well-appointed, with an open living/dining space and a million dollar lakefront view, making the location and home ideal for a group getaway. Don was a wonderful host and very responsive to questions and special requests. Thanks for a great weekend, Don - wish we could have stayed longer!

Lakefront retreat

Good location for activities in Hudson valley. Went to a game at West Point. 40 min drive. Great house, good beds plenty of space. Beautiful sunset. Very relaxing. Host went out of their way to make it easy Would definitely stay again

It's a pleasure to be able to share our home (secondary residence) and enable others to appreciate the serenity and beauty of Orange Lake, and the leisure activities and attractions of the Hudson Valley.

Why they chose this property

I grew up in the Hudson Valley (Wappingers Falls to be exact). This home is centrally located to many friends, family, and things that make us love the Hudson Valley so much. Whenever we're floating in the kayak or chillin' in our boat on Orange Lake, it absolutely feels like we're somewhere in the northern Catskills or Adirondack Mountains of northern NY state...not 65 miles north of NYC. I've always called Orange Lake the "best kept secret" in southern NY.

What makes this property unique

The moment you walk into the house, you are struck by the awesome panoramic close-up view of the lake. Truly a special property.
