This home has a Master bedroom with queen bed. The front bedroom has bunk beds and a double bed. It is a quiet get-away for 2, and can accommodate 4 people in the 2nd bedroom. Full Kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, blender and toaster. The living room has comfortable seating, couch, loveseat, TV, WiFi. There is a wood burning stove for winter, plus central heat and air conditioning. An air mattress is available on request, which I set up in the laundry room. Relax with a view of the woods off the back deck, table and chairs,propane grill, campfire ring. Adjacent to Meramec State Park. 1.6 miles to the river access with parking at Cane Bottom (open May 1-Sept 29). A canoe, 2 man kayak, inner tubes, life vests and cooler are available free upon advance request. You must be able to do a self shuttle. Enjoy floating, fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling, antiquing, wineries, breweries, distilleries, restaurants, zoos, museums, parks, wildlife sanctuaries, art, caves and rides are nearby. Canoe and raft rentals are available at Meramec State Park Concession and other outfitters rent paddle craft. We are located 6 miles from Sullivan, and just over an hour from St. Louis. 6 miles to Meramec State Park picnic area & boat ramp, 12 miles to Meramec Caverns & 23 miles to Onondaga Cave. There is no river access at Miramiguoa Village. There are several access points in Meramec State Park. The house is in a small neighborhood a 4 mile drive thru the hilly back section of the park. Deer are frequently seen.

Kids Spring Break

Deb was easy to contact and the property was as described. We chose Deb's place for its location to caves to explore and state parks to check out. Little did we know most cave are not open unit April. Having a kitchen and dryer washer on site was a huge plus for our family of 5! We had a family of deer that we seen daily and on the last evening they came to visit us in the backyard. Will definitely book again if we choose Missouri for another trip!

Very cute and clean

We had a blast here, little bonfire at night and we played games at the kitchen table during the day. Meramec Caverns is about 25 mins away and we went there for a little outing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the owners were wonderful.

Away from it all

Excellent place to unwind but also close to lots of local activities. Plenty of blankets, pillows and towels. Appreciated all the written instructions too.

Great Stay

This was the perfect location for the river float that we booked with Arapaho Canoe & Raft Rental. It is also close enough to town if we needed any last minute items. Debra was a great host.

It was everything we needed to get away for a few days. We enjoyed the peaceful woods and firepit was great the back deck and grill was nice. We enjoyed the closeness of the river too.

Wonderful house and location

This property was exactly as advertised. Beautiful wooded backyard view, easy access to town. Interior was very clean. Linens were soft and comfortable. Great dining table for family gatherings. Highly recommend this property.

This was a great place to stay. We had everything we needed. Only one thing we didn't like was there were no curtains in the living room and dining room. We realized this was out of the way and there was no way for anyone to see us from the road, but we are city people. Overall it was a great stay.

Girls weekend away!!!

Me and my girls took off to stay down at Meramec caverns for her birthday! With the help from our host we planned our float trip and our way around town! The house was very nice! Very comfortable the backyard was amazing we had so much fun highly recommend!!!!

Girls weekend!

Me and a couple other older girlfriends went down for the weekend to stay. From the moment we pulled up and walked in the door it was everything we needed and more. What you see is what you get when you look at all the pics of this listing. Very nice quiet neighborhood just outside of town a few miles. I’ve been coming to Sullivan for years to raft the Meramec River every summer and we have always done the motel stay but not anymore. Debra the owner is so nice and helpful too. I had a few questions and she was quick to answer for me. We call the house a hidden gem and we will definitely come back here to stay. Thanks again Debra, we had a blast!

Girls weekend

We got just what we needed, a quiet weekend away without hearing “mom” constantly. It was cozy, kitchen was great to cook in, and it’s in a beautiful and quiet location. Super relaxing with all the birds chirping and deer around. It was great being so close to the Meramec river too. Host was very easy to contact. We will definitely be back.

Perfect Location!!!

This house was in a perfect location from the river. It makes you feel like you are secluded in the woods with all the amenities of home. Our boys loved exploring and finding bugs in the woods. Nice big deck out back with a gas grill!! We enjoyed this house very much and we WILL be back!!

Our host Debra greeted us at the house and had a fire going, very nice and her husband too. What you see in the photo's online is what the house looks like, very nice, cozy, clean and kitchen great. Large deck, plenty of chairs to sit in, with grill and fire pit down below. Will stay again. If any down fall the living room furniture was a little uncomfortable after sitting on it for a while, but we watched several movies, for hours so that is part of the reason. Other than that, I would highly recommend this property. Thanks for a great girls weekend get a way location. Lori

Perfect family getaway

Our family of five could not have asked for more when we stayed at this property. Debra quickly answered all of my multiple questions before we arrived, and even took the time to email me a map of how to drive to Cane Bottom on the Meramec River. What we loved the most about this property: * Debra quickly answering out questions and even dropping by to make sure everything was OK with out stay. * This property was more than fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we could have asked for. I have never rented a property that was so fully stocked before. * The beds were all very comfortable and all five of us mentioned how well we slept. * It was so peaceful, quiet, and serene in the surrounding neighborhood. * We LOVED the nice deck and the great backyard, where we took advantage of the fire pit and made smores and roasted hot dogs both nights of our stay. * Though we didn't use it much, the wireless internet worked well along with the television. If you are looking for a well-kept property that is completely ready for you when you arrive, and is peaceful and quiet, and enjoy sitting around a campfire to chat and enjoy company, you can't go wrong with this rental. We loved it!!!

I grew up in the outskirts of St. Louis. My husband grew up in a small town in southern Missouri. We currently live in the country, outside of Stanton, Mo.

Why they chose this property

I bought this property because it was in a quiet neighborhood, near a river that I love to float, and near a state park with many hiking trails and some caves. We opened up part of a wall between the kitchen and living room, so it's easier to entertain friends and family. I've had many friends visit and stay overnight thru the years. It is close to a small town, yet the town is large enough to have restaurants, shopping etc. It is an hour away from St. Louis, if I wanted to do big city activities.

What makes this property unique

I've enjoyed watching the deer, birds and squirrels from my deck. The house just has a comfortable feel. We built a deck around a small tree that has grown up and provides shade. It stays much cooler in the summer. We've got air conditioning, just in case, but hardly use the a/c. Gary installed the wood stove, and it's really cozy in the winter watching the fire thru the glass doors. Then we added some solar panels, that produce hot air. The furnace is needed mostly when we weren't home.
