What a beautiful property beyond spectacular grounds!! Very spacious and beautiful room! Definetley going back soon and maybe one of my top vrbo properties
This had to be one of the most interesting places we have ever stayed.
I like the architecture of the building. The grounds were well cared for but a little run down.
The shared kitchen and dining area were nice.
The library and game room was fun..
The suite itself was beautiful and clean. Our only issue was the spiders. They were everywhere. I know the building is old but so is my house. I don't have to walk through spiderwebs and clear the shower before walking into or through a room.
We are not afraid of spiders but many others are, so be aware before booking a room here.
This is a beautiful, huge home. Amenities are new, clean and in great condition. (The only exception was the hot tub, whose heater went out just as we arrived.)
Debbie was great to work with, answered our questions and was readily available if we'd needed anything.
Cleanliness: Generally a clean and well-appointed house. We did notice that the hot tub had apparently not been cleaned in quite some time; it had globs of seeds from the trees piled at the bottom of the tub, so even if the heater had worked we wouldn't have wanted to use the tub. Also, we couldn't find the chemicals and ph tester, so we wouldn't have known whether the water was safe. Finally, the chairs at the outside tables shown in the picture above were stacked up on the tables and covered with bird droppings when we arrived. We would have preferred not to have had to set them up and clean them ourselves.
Amenities: Coffee machines and pods were available, as well as all dishes and cutlery, etc. There was a grill, although we didn't check the condition. It would be helpful to have more than one bath towel per person.
In general, this was a beautiful home and an amazingly quiet retreat, situated right on the lake/river. We appreciate making the home available to us and would certainly consider coming back in the future.

Very beautiful, rich history, quiet and relaxing.
I'm so glad I found this treasure!
They've done a marvelous job rennovating the building. All the standard amenities and more such as a double shower head, gas fire pit, and jetted tub in the Eagle's nest. Beautiful lighting all throughout. Had a terrific time staying there and will come back someday. The view is breathtaking. Loved seeing and hearing about the history. Owner's son, Ryan, was very accommodating and welcoming. Even had strawberries and champagne ready for us in the mini fridge in our room. I gave 4 stars for one reason. We enjoyed Ryan's company and help. We had put him through quite a bit upon arrival, but a bit more distance later on would have been less awkward for us. It was also awkward to come back one evening to the owner and his friends on the back deck. We did not feel comfortable using the hot tub as planned that eve.

Perfect Getaway
This is such a beautiful place to stay. There is so much history to the house and surround areas. Our room was beautiful and the owner was so attentive to our needs. The whole house was clean and set up wonderfully. I can't wait to book another vacation here.

About the host

Why they chose this property
Lake Roosevelt Suites sits majestically alongside the spectacular and dramatic Columbia River on four lakefront acres. This spacious historical former concrete factory offers exquisitely pampering lake view guest rooms. Guests enjoy access to the community hot tub and full kitchen in the downstairs part of the house. You can always wander out onto the huge back deck and enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, the forest and wildlife, and the beautifully manicured property including a fish and turtle encumbered pond. Since Lake Roosevelt Suites is nestled alongside Lake Roosevelt National Park, you can enjoy 150 miles of public beach and lakeshore access. The suites will lead you to fairy-tale adventures whether you choose to make your way into the nearby surrounding mountains or lakes.
What makes this property unique
The Lake Roosevelt Suites are located within a historical former cement factory that has since been modified into a unique home space. As a guest, you will be offered access to our common areas such as the kitchen, lounge, outdoor patios, and hot tub. Of course, you're also encouraged to go for a stroll in the yard, which spreads over four acres of land. If you're feeling adventurous you can walk out to the lake just another 50 yards away, or go for a mountain hike and catch a stunning sunset. It is not uncommon to see as many as four river otters swimming in the pond. With the yard lights on all night there is a good chance of seeing deer, coyotes, and bear in the area.
